handyman service
+ -1 moreHe cashed my check the day after he got it and seems to have no interest in speaking with me. I guess I am just out $1600.
Description of Work: I called Mike Burns for an estimate to replace my front and back doors due to water damage. He came, took measurements, gave me his opinion. He asked why I am in a wheelchair so I told him how I had been paralyzed from the waist down in Afghanistan. He talked about my kids for a bit. I ended up giving him the job. He came back the next day with a contract, said he needed half up front to cover the cost of the doors (the front door is a big ornate piece) so I cut him a check for half. The work was supposed to be done on July 29th. I have not heard from him since. He will not answer the phone or return my calls. He sure as heck deposited my check though.
