+ -1 moreI got a Patio Cover and ceiling fan installed by Merrell Home Improvement. Even delaying by Covid-19, finally they started, and got it done in less than three days. It came out much more beautiful than I expected. They did a great job. Before they left they cleaned up all trash. I will use them again. I highly recommend Merrell Home Improvement.

We had Merrell Home Improvement come out to fix a water drainage issue in our yard. They ended up hiring someone else to fix it instead of them. The work they “completed” made us have water issues we have never had before that went straight to our house that eroded large sections of our yard and almost flooded our garage. The owner of the company came by and stormed out of our house mid-conversation after yelling at me and my husband for being upset about our new (bigger) issue. Very unprofessional. Save yourself your money and never hire them!

+ -1 moreThis company was very professional in their scheduling and punctuality and the rep that came was very congenial but I was quoted over $30,000 for a 16x20 “prefabricated” material shed roof that would only take 2-3 days to install. I don’t see any way under the sun how that’s even remotely possible to arrive at that number. I assume that was there way of saying it was too small of a job. I guess if other people are paying $30k for a $7-8k roof more power to them but I’m not touching that.
Description of Work: I wanted an estimate on a roof for an existing 16x20” deck.

Description of Work: From the time to signing the contract to start of job 9 weeks. They never return your phone calls. The first price they gave me was $9700.00 I at least talked him down to $7500.00 Still have some leaks in the patio cover, still waiting on them to return and seal the leaks.

Description of Work: added a room on the back of my house.took over 5 months to complete, had water damage do to roof leaking, make sure you read averything over before you sign the contract and have everything you want done in writing in the contract exactly how you want it. it it will cost you more.

+ -1 moreBeware of the snake oil salesman. This is how it will go: They will sell you quickly then tell you it will take 6-8 weeks to start. I signed a contract in February. It is now the end of June. We are just now completing the job. Overpriced and very unprofessional. Never saw the salesman after the contract was signed. No follow up, no customer service, no punch list after completion. Thank God I had an amazing contractor to make it right. Merrell will sub out your job to various contractors, none of whom you will have any knowledge or background on. Merrell doesn't do the work so the end result depends on the contractor of the day. I will never recommend Merrell to any of my family, friends or neighbors. If you are considering Merrell, keep looking.

+ -1 moreCalled to have an estimate done, was scheduled for 2pm. At 2:10 I received a call from whoever was coming out to bid the project stating he was running late since noon. If this gentleman knew since noon he was running late, he should have called before the appointment, not after. Im sorry, but if you can expect your employees to be on time for work, you should do the same for potential clients. Told the gentleman not to bother coming out.
Description of Work: Wanted to get estimate for repairing shoddy work done by another area contractor. Would have also requested a bid for a remodel project, had the company been on time.

Description of Work: I contacted Merrell Home Improvement in order to obtain an estimate for a deck expansion, fence, and stamped concrete patio. This review is intended to provide some insight in various areas regarding Merrell Home Improvement. Although I chose not to hire Merrell Home Improvement for the services, the company does deserve feedback in the event someone else elects to hire them. Price: Quoted price was significantly hire than the two other contractors I have contacted. I fully understand quality is the priority but in this case, a contract competitor with equal quality outbid Merrell. Quality: I did not have services performed but the quality of professionalism when speaking with a Merrell representative was professional, confident, and attentive. Responsiveness: The estimate provided by Merrell was very timely. Keep in mind that I am currently deployed to Afghanistan. The Merrell company accomodated to my situation by coordinating in advance with the house sitter, sent a representative to the home, and spoke to the house sitter with the same regards as though the home owner. Punctuality: The representative showed on time and prepared to address all questions. Professionalism: Very respectful and competent.

+ 0 moreEstimate was way over priced for what I wanted done. Then price kept getting raised then on top of that he tried to talk me into spending more money for a completely different project that I did not want done. I personally felt like he kept changing the price because my husband was not home at the time. I just feel like I would have gotten a different price or he wouldn't have went from 350 to 700 and something to a final price of 900 then on top of all that we had the door and flooring and he said laying the flooring would not be included and he could just lay a piece of plywood down. He also recommended that I get my patio redone (for $3,000 to $3,500) rather than replace the door which is the initial problem. I personally felt he tried to over charge me and also tried to change my mind from what i actually wanted.

+ -1 moreThe flashing was not installed as per the original estimate, but was done professionally and looks great. Unfortunately while looking great, it did not solve all the drainage issues . After several calls and many weeks, Mark came to reinspect the job and told us that further sealing and grouting would need to occur - we were told that their company did not do this, but he would have someone else call us to do sealing, but never heard from anyone after giving Mark the final check. The crew showed up late about everyday and left early (being this was an outside job it was not a problem). They always left the area clean and tidy.
Description of Work: Flashing installed on second floor uncovered patio/decks to keep water from draining down side of stucco/masonary siding.
