Just Floor It

Description of Work: BLUF: Terrible experience, poor quality, and poor handling of their many short comings. We hired them to tile two bathrooms, a kitchen and install countertop. They "finished" the tiling job in the kitchen and the one bathroom. By finished, I mean they did finally came back to put down the grout. They didn't seal it, didn't put the quarter round on, or transitional thresholds so it looked unfinished. Additionally, they did not remove the under lament so the floor is about an inch higher than the floors surrounding those rooms. We had to hire another guy to do the finishing work and tile the other bathroom. They talk up all the "little extra touches" they can do to make the floor or area look or function better, then they simply neglect to actually do what they discussed. They delayed their time line multiple times delaying the project around a month. The ONLY reason we choose them initially over Lowes ( price difference was only $100 lower with them) was because they could do it in one week. Then they continued pushing the timeline for work back. When they finally began working then they only came laid down backer board in one room. Left, putted the toilet up and laminate surrounding the toilet. Left it for 4 days with the toilet off , in our bathtub, and the sewer line exposed. Leaving a nice sewer smell in the house. Finally came back with minimal notice, laid the tile down in the two rooms, left again for 4-5 days again not communicating when they planned to return to complete the job. They did eventually send one of his "main guys" out to grout the tile but they left the job unfinished. Unfinished in that he did not put quarter round, didn't remove the under lament so the floor was 1/2-1in higher than the surrounding floors, didn't put down thresholds and of course didn't seal the tile. When they knew they still needed to start/finish the other bathroom, the main guy Darrell Keaton stopped responding to our calls, and texts. Completely. We were not rude just inquiring about timelines so we knew what to expect. He did nothing. He wanted "1/2 of the money" up front which is a HUGE red flag. Will never do that again. The initial job we paid 1/2 for was to tile to small bathrooms , a small kitchen and install a counter top. He only "completed" the tiling of the kitchen and bathroom. So my the amount I paid up front really was overpaying him for just the kitchen and one bathroom tiling. Again terrible. It is much better to go with Lowes or Home Depot where there is accountability to the work. If you don't like it or it's wrong. The contractor will be out to repair, replace, or finish what needs to fix asap or HD, Lowes fire them. Period. Obviously, I don't recommend this guy. Several reviews, have come in to various sites expressing similar experiences as ours. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Description of Work: We did not use them and went somewhere else. We looked at different one. Although I should have went and use them cause they seemed to be good people. The response was great and actually they arrived early than what the scheduled time which I don't really mind, friendly. I regreted that we did not use them because the we picked was unsatisfactory. The main man don't listen to any suggestions like I don't know anything. Plus caught lies a few times. All this showed when the job has already started, til the job was done. The floors well it could have been great if not for the lipping and stranding and other things. I guess what I need know is somebody to help me fix their mistakes without putting more holes in my pocket. We spend to much on this bamboo flooring that I don't think I can spend much more. Every time I look at the floor it frustrates me. I guess lessoned learn. We went with this person because of the high rating, he is not on Angie's list. He's supposed to a high rated floorer. | | |

Description of Work: Hired Just Floor It to install new 12mm laminate flooring and quarter round throughout our first floor. The job included removal of carpet, tile, and engineered wood as well.

Description of Work: REPLACED CARPET IN OUR LARGE FAMILY ROOM. ADDED TILE TO THE AREA JUST INSIDE THE ENTRY DOOR TO MINUMIZE WEAR AND SOILS FROM OUTSIDE. REPAIRED (RELAYED) CARPET IN THE MASTER BEDROOM THAT HAD 'BUCKLED' IN SEVERAL PLACES DUE TO POOR WORKMANSHIP BY THE ORIGINAL (OTHER) INSTALLER.

Description of Work: In my rental property, I was contemplating replacing the carpet. I had them come over for an estimate for replacement and they explained to me that all I really needed was a re-stretch. Didn't even know you could do that! They saved me over a thousand dollars! I called the,them back about a month later to replace the upstairs deck. It was well done and for a great price! They are great people, honest, and have free estimates!

Description of Work: I used this company to do my floors. It was not a good experience at all. I paid him $2000, and he didn't finish the job. I found out that BBB grades his business an F for his service. I found this out after I hired him. He has changed his name a few times to avoid the bad reputation that is following him. The other names he has used are Unique Flooring and DK Flooring.

Description of Work: Darrell Keaton wrote an invoice stating he would redo the tile floor in our dining room, foyer, bathroom, and hallway that was just installed improperly by my previous contractor. He was supposed to install our baseboard as well. He was tearing up and reinstalling about 285 square foot of ceramic tile.

Description of Work: We had some Peel and Stick tile and they installed it in our kitchen and part of a hallway. We bought the tiles.
