First the guy that answered the phone told me to hang up and text my address to the number I just called so when I did that it took 10 minutes for him to answer my text, I gave him my address and he replied it will be a couple of hours which was good for me, the tech arrived around 1215pm asked if he could go to the garage to see the unit then came back up about 5 minutes later and said we need a part and darted out the door. The tech didn't say what kind of part how much it will cost or anything. The next day at around 1030am I hadn't heard anything from Jalco so I called to see when they would be back to fix the unit, the guy that answered the phone was very rude and said "we ordered the part and when it comes in then we will tell you when we are coming back" and hung up so I called back, told the guy he was rude and cancelled the service which he didn't even seem to care.
Description of Work: My heat wasn't working on a Sunday so called Jalco for service call.

I am beyond relief that there is still a highly trained HONEST tradesman alive!!!!!!
Description of Work: Replace Heating and Air Unit. The workers were punctual and professional. The owner is the very fair and honest and such a nice man. I have recommended him to everyone I know and they all satisfied. I remember him working on my unit when I resided on Ft Campbell many years ago. Again you can NOT go wrong with this company at all!

Jalco is great. Always responsive, even on short notice. Quickly repaired the HVAC unit and I thought the price was fair. They have always done a great job for us.

John Jalinsky and his crew did an excellent job, they were prompt, went right to work, were very professional and I was very satisfied with the decision I made to go with their company.
Description of Work: Before making a choice, I received bids from three companies representing a variety of gas heating & A/C units. I had several questions about what I should look for in purchasing a new unit and John Jalinsky spent a lot of time on the phone with me explaining how units are rated, etc. He told me about a company in Fayetteville, TN, Goodman, that builds a good unit. I asked a couple of people that I know who are in the heating and A/C business & they concurred with Mr. Jalinsky that Goodman makes a good product. I like the fact that it is built in Tennessee and I thought the price Mr. Jalinsky quoted me for purchase & installation was a fair price. He told me they would be at my house on Saturday morning, November 3rd, at 8:00 a.m. They pulled in my driveway at 8:00 a.m. sharp and went right to work. It only took them two or three hours to complete everything. They disconnected the old unit and installed the new one, sealing everything up against the house very neatly and tightly. They made sure all of my ductwork underneath the house was in good order. Once the work was finished, they cleaned up after themselves and hauled away the old unit and you couldn't tell they had ever been there. They also installed a new digital thermostat. The unit came with a 10-year parts warranty, a 20-year heat exchanger warranty and I purchased a 10-year labor warranty for an additional $300. I am very satisfied with the service I received from Jalco Heating & Air and would recommend them to anyone.

John Jalinsky of JALCO gave me a bid on a new gas package unit (13 SEER) that was $1000 less than the bid by a local large HVAC company. The brand installed was Goodman, which I was not familiar with. After a wee it of internet reading it appeared that many Goodman customers were unhappy with the performance of their unit. This made me very nervous. I expressed my concerns to John, and he took the time to explain why he thought these people were unhappy. Trane and the other big companies require strict screening before allowing their units to be sold. The companies that buy Trane et al, have to go through special training in order to become a certified installer. That costs money which winds up being passed on to the consumer. The Goodman units are just as good, but the company does not require special training which keeps the costs lower. That said, any old person who says that they do HVAC could buy one and install it at your home. You can imagine that leading to less than qualified people installing Goodman products improperly, hence unhappy customers. It is the equivalent of Advanced Auto Parts selling only to dealers, and AutoZone selling car parts to anyone. Its all about who you use as your installer, not necessarily the quality of the parts. Feeling a bit better I went back to the internet. What do you know? After stumbling upon a forum of professional installers of several brands, that is exactly the answer I found online. I was satisfied with the unit, and it has a great warranty!. JALCO guys arrived right on time, were very mindful of my lawn when backing the truck up to off load the unit (NO DAMAGE to my lawn), and worked efficiently. Several fellows were onsite and they were very polite. There was a brief mix-up with the wrong thermostat being installed, but John sprang into action and hurriedly went and bought a new one. The situation got even funnier when the new box was opened and found to contain the wrong part. (Someone had bought this thermostat, switched the contents with a cheapo thermostat, and then returned it! ) So another trip to the store and a very thorough scrutinizing of the box's contents and we were in business! It was such a non-issue, and rather funny. John took care of everything to my satisfaction and our air is lovely and frosty. The guys also installed a trunk line from the existing air return on the main level, up through the attic, to the bonus room. With no air return in the bonus room there was NO air flow. Sure, the two vents brought new air into the room, but there was no way to draw the air back into circulation, hence the stifling conditions in summer. They added a new air return in the bonus room, and shifted the placement of the vent in our hall bathroom and my daughter's room. The moving of the air vents was a last minute request and not included in my original quote. John charged me $100 to move both vents. I was more than pleased. The guys even saved the scrap of carpet cut from the new vent site so that I could patch the hole where the old vent was!
Description of Work: Pulled all necessary permits Removed old, malfunctioning unit and concrete pad Installed a new 13 SEER gas package unit and a new concrete pad Added a new trunk line to the air return system which connected to a new air return in my bonus room Added 6 dampers to the duct work to improve airflow to certain rooms. Shifted the position of two floor vents on the main level Added a new programmable digital thermostat Cleaned all debris from the site
