Adam Glen's services would probably be just fine if it was not for Nick Datillo and his crews. I would not use any service that has Nick or Heidi Datillo's name associated with the service. We were moving out to the Pembroke, KY/ Clarksville, TN area and found a site offering custom luxury houses. We made the call and started the process of having our house built. The first red flag was that we were told that the plot was over one acre. When we looked at the plat it showed that all of the lots were only around half an acre. This was very disappointing but we resolved the issue with the company. We told them that we would be moving to the area in the begining of July and they said that we would only have to wait two weeks to move into our house. That was great and even better because we found out that we would really be moving out to the area during the first week of August. This gave them plenty of cushion time. We moved out here and the house was not even close to being finished. We had to call the builder almost daily to get them to send out the crews to work on the house. It was like pulling teeth to get the crews to come out to the site. The crews were not professional at all and were just a mix of the cheapest labor that the builder could find. The painter did a horrible job, used the cheapest paint available and only did one coat, maybe two very thin coats at best. We had a leak during the first week of moving into the house and the dry wall crew had to come out to fix the site where the leak was. I had to argue with the dry wall crew to get them to do their job. Nick Datillo actually tried to tell me that people in this area were slow and that you needed to be easy on them so that they will work. The problem was that the crews wouldn't work unless you made them work. They had no pride in their work. We were told that our lot would be leveled out to a few degrees in the front yard. We now have a slope of about 20 degrees and it collects enough water to be considered a pond. The builders solution was a 6 inch pipe that runs about 150 ft with lots of turns. This pipe clogged up within hours of the first rain we had. I am trying to get them to level my lot and fix the drainage but with no luck. They finished the last house on the block and have completely disappeared since. I tried to replace a light bulb a few nights ago, bumped the can light and it fell out of the ceiling. I called the builder and they told me that since I broke it that it was not covered. I barely touched it but I guess that is how they construct houses. If you are moving to the area do not use any crews associated with Nick Datillo. Adam Glen is the guy that was buying the land and "in charge", he uses Nick for his sites, I think that Adam means well and is being taken advantage of by Nick Datillo and his company. Beware of Empowerment Construction and Nick Datillo! Only use Adam Glen if he finally gets rid of Nick Datillo. I should have known better with all the problems leading up to it and when the local power company shook their heads in shame when I mentioned his name. Also, every house on this block has similar stories. Not one house got what they asked for. Two of the houses actually had their colors and shingles mixed up. Bathroom fixtures and cabinets were all mixed up, whole rooms and houses were not measured correctly and left some people with very tiny kitchens or laundry rooms. There is no quality control with this company and they will fight you when it comes to them fixing their mistakes.
Description of Work: Empowerment construction built our home with the "help" of Nick Datillo.
