DC Computers

I took my computer to DC Computers as it was only a few blocks from my home.  It would be an "inexpensive and quick fix," according to the owner.  After 3 days with no word about my laptop, I called.  I was told it would be another day, because he had to order the part.  I called the next day and was told the same thing.  I called every day for 2 weeks.  Finally, I decided that I just wanted my computer back and I would take it elsewhere for repair.  I was told that I would have to pay $60 for the "diagnostic," $80 for the part, and $25 for storage before they would release my computer.  There was no diagnostic done, I brought it in and told them what I needed.  The part that was ordered was $11!  Charging me storage when they were supposedly waiting for a part, what a scam!  I was over a barrel, so I left it there.  Another 2 weeks and $200 later, I finally got my laptop back.  They charged me $60 for the "diagnostic," $80 for the part, and $60 for the labor.  This was not what I call an inexpensive and quick fix.
 I will never use DC computers again.  They are slow, do not communicate with customers, and completely over priced.  I felt that charging me a "diagnostic" fee for a hardware issue is a scam.  I showed them exactly what I needed done, they "diagnosed" nothing.
I gave a "B" for Quality because I still have the laptop and the jack is still solid.
