They showed up and worked as a team and finished in no time flat and were gone. Cleaned up and even took their trash with them. I was impressed.

Tech came out, determined it was out of freon and refilled it. Did not tell me anything about the leaks. Few months later, have to call them back. They came out and put freon in 2 systems. Tell me I might have a small leak, but is plugged now. A week later, one of my units dysfunctions and stops cooling. Tech comes out, charges to put more freon in the system to check for leaks. Determines, coils need cleaning, need a new coil as well. Total in repairs comes to 2800, offers to install a new system for 3200. They took advantage of a customer who had no knowledge of all of this and when I tried to get refunded for the last freon they only refunded be 10% towards a new service call. Also, they charged me for a diagnostics everytime.

The day Dawson & Dawson came to clean & inspect the HVAC unit, the service was great. However, a year later, we had animal infestation problems in our crawl space. It turned out, the animals entered our crawl space through holes in the HVAC unit. "Rat shields" were not installed as is standard with some other HVAC companies.

The week this happened Clarksville had about 6 inches of snow which then went through a series of melting and re-freezing throughout the week, making road travel difficult. I called and left a message on Monday and the technician returned my call on Wednesday. I was not surprised by the delay because most businesses in Clarksville were still closed due to weather both Tuesday and Wednesday. But I was surprised that he said he could be at my house in about 20 minutes. I told him our roads had not been plowed but he did not think there would be any problem. He got to my house about 40 minutes later, but could not get the truck up my driveway. He parked in the street and walked up to check out the heat pump. I told him my problem and he thought it might be the capacitor. He opened the unit, removed the capacitor, and checked it out with a multimeter and found nothing wrong with it. He told me I was correct, the motor was bad and that the only place open that day would charge about $100 more than what he could get it for once all of the suppliers opened up again. I told him what I could get it for online and he said he could not match that. I then told him I would make the purchase online, and since replacing the motor was a fairly simple job that I would do it myself, but what did I owe him for the service call? He said since he did nothing, I owed him nothing! He gave some good advice on not running the condenser without the blower motor working and getting the fan off the motor shaft of the old one. Once the motor arrived I installed it and everything is working fine now.

The air conditioner is working normal and now it is cooler. They were punctual.

Run for this hills with them. I would never use them again.
