Action Air Conditioning

ATTEN:Buyers and consumers beware. Joy Kraeske the owner of Action Air Conditioning Service, Inc. will attempt to swindle you at all cost. I purchased my air conditioning unit from them in 2014 with with a 10 year parts and labor warranty. I have had my unit service twice a year for the last 8 years which is part of the warranty. I noticed this year that my air conditioner was not my air conditioner was not running at optimal level and it could have been because of the amount of heat that we have been having. When I called to schedule an appointment to have them come check it out I was quoted a $65 diagnostic fee. When the technician, Dale, came out he stated that I needed to have the condenser coils cleaned and it would cost me a $193 because they would be so generous as to wave the diagnostic fee. I attempted to dispute the service amount due to service invoice that I have attached where back in March of 2022 yes this year I had the condenser coils cleaned. I was then notified from Joy Kraeske that since I would not pay the $193 she was loosing business and was ordering the technician to leave my premises. Since that date I have contacted the owner, Joy Kraeske, and she has stated that it is not a $65 diagnostic fee of which I was quoted it would have been a $147 diagnostic fee. We have now parted ways. Again, buyers and consumers beware. I was with this company since I purchased my house in 2007

The do excellent work, easy to schedule, prompt and their service technicians were very good.

Very well. Installers were prompt and professional. Cleaned up after themselves. Had a quality assurance representative come in behind them and inspect the system for workmanship and proper operation before leaving the site. System working well so far. Have used both the heat and AC.

Quickly ordered parts and came next day to make repairs. Action Air is always honest about work that needs to be done and options.

They were very nice and they took care of the problem. It was old and rusty for years and they took care of it. They did let me know that a new system is affordable. If I need a new system I would go back to them for an estimate. They came right away or when they said they would come. The gentleman explained everything and what I need in the future. He wasn't pushy and some people come and just talk and talk, but he wasn't like that.

Arrived within the designated hour. My current unit was installed 3 years ago by another local now closed company and the compressor was still under the 10 year warranty. It was found that there was a problem with the unit. The service tech made sure to call the distributor to check if the proper paper work had been submitted for no cost replacement(which it had) and did the work in a timely fashion. Although this was cost more than I expected, I only paid for service and work. He also cleaned up any trash that was generated; which I appreciated. My A/C unit is now functioning more efficiently and my electric bill has been lower than last year even with the heat and humidity.

I had a technican come out in the afternoon and he miss diagnosed the problem. When I called the office the lady was of no help. She said she didn't understand what I wanted, and she was trying to insist that it was fixed. After I told her I wanted someone to come back out to look at my unit she said she would have the service manager call me, which he never did. The technician came back out that night and found the actual problem with the unit and said he would be back the next morning to install the part. I got a call at 10am saying that they will get the part in and will call me around 2pm to get it installed. At 4pm they finally call back and the part has been "lost" by the courier. The guy was unapologetic and didn't seem to care about their mess ups. He now says it will be tomorrow afternoon some time before it will be installed.

Both of my systems were very old and it was due time to replace both. After my fall checkup showed considerable leaks and othe issues, I contacted action air and was contacted by tech rep Cliff B., who came to my house at the appointed time and spent all the time I needed by answering all my questions and showing me all my options. After agreeing that replacement of the units were needed, Cliiff proceeded with my estimates and explained everything that would happen, at the time I was planing on trying to ride out winter with what I had and he was O.K. With it, No pressure to Do It Now, thanks Cliff. But as usual old Murphy comes to roost and first the down stairs unit started acting up, then the upstairs a week later just died,( Xfmr and contractors in upper blower unit burnt up) With really cold weather coming in soon , I contacted Action air and they quickly responded by replacing both units in a very timely and professional manner , I would like to take this time to thank Wesley,Thomas ,Tye and Jordan( who came out on a Sunday morning to check and trouble shoot my upstairs unit), plus all of the other great professionals I talked with , most of all Cliff who always returned my calls and worked with me and took the time to answer all my questions. I highly recommend Action air for all your HVAC system needs

We've used Action Air on several occasions, they always show up looking and acting professional. The service technicians are always respectful of your property wearing shoe covers as they enter our home.

Great..men were on time..very professional..cleaned up..very..very satisfied. Would recommend them..and will past their name on . We use them also to check our air conditioner and gas fireplaces twice a year..men are great!

They did not take responsibility for their actions and were not very friendly.

We are trying to sell our house and had 3 HVAC contractors come out to assess our two units. One contractor said we need two evaporator coils, one heat exchanger, and quoted over $6,000 for the repairs. Another company said we needed a new heat exchanger and one evaporator coil, quoting $4,850. Action Air also said we needed a heat exchanged and evaporator coil, but they were the only ones who told us that our heat exchanger was still under warranty! It was $750 to replace the heat exchanger and $1228 for the evaporator coil and new drain pan. Gary with Action Air was also the only one who said we should have a float switch in the drain pan, and installed one. He was prompt, professional, trustworthy, and their prices were reasonable. I highly recommend them!

I noticed my upstairs AC unit was not cooling... but the weather had gotten cooler, so I wasn't in a hurry. I called to schedule an appt... told them I wasn't in a hurry, but 1 hour later, Josh Johannesen was at my house finding the problem. He knew how our Lennox unit worked and found the fail safe was triggered when the refrigerant pressure dropped. He found a leak, fixed it, inspected the rest of the system to make sure there weren't any other problems, and 2 hours later, our upstairs unit was working. I am extremely pleased with the service we received!

The repair technician called me when he was on his way and we meet at the residence. He confirmed the problem, gave me an estimate of cost and completed the repair in a timely manner. Unit is now working as it should. I cannot compare cost of service as I didn't shop around due to below freezing temperature however I believe it was fair. The technician, Anthony Johnson, was very polite and respectful and seemed very knowledgable about his craft. I am pleased with his service.

They were punctual. Did exactly what they said he would. Explained what he was doing; was patient with our questions. Would definitely recommend this company.

We have had our units serviced by Action Air before, and this time Chris found a couple of issues. He carefully explained and showed me the issues in a way that even I could understand and I know nothing, and I mean nothing, about HVAC. The repairs weren't cheap, but they were obviously necessary, so I was pleased with the results.

They were good. They did it in a day and a half and it's been working ever since. I've been happy though. We had to wait for few days but they were on time.

They were prompt and they were considerate of our flooring when they came to the house. They were thorough made sure that my old vent work was repaired to join up with three units. They're very positive the only negative; they're very open to our vent system and they smoked a lot it was outside but it ended up coming into the house and lingering. The smoke was coming into the house.

Quick service, service man was very professional, and arrived when he said he would arrive. Fixed the problem in less than 20 minutes.

Yearly maintenance. Signed up for the twice a service. Very pleased with the representative. Very professional, used the shoe covers to protect the carpet. Very thorough.

Mr. Robert is very professional and knowledgeable of his craft. I'm concerned that after a maintenance performed only a month ago that I now have a problem that will cost $960.00 I chose to use the refrigerant charge method to fix the problem for now. Two pounds of refrigerant was added. Must say that after reading reviews of other companies Action Air seem to be reliable. Additionally my neighbor recommends them highly. I trust her recommendation. For now I will see if this fix works.

I spent $350 for my service protection plan for the year. Had I not called to setup my appointments they would not call me and I wasn't pleased with that. The job was fine. I don't remember anything that stood out but I do remember that he went around and we checked everything together.

Action Air Conditioning's level of expertise and professionalism is unheard of now days and although they are not the cheapest ac company out there (also not the most expensive) you will not be disappointed with the outcome of the service being provided to you.
