I contacted the WD Scott Company (WDSC) and asked for an estimate on yard/lawn maintenance and some other minor yard (cutting down a dead tree and hauling off wood, cutting vines from tree trunks and applying herbicide to control encroaching growth on a bluff). Bill Scott of WDSC promptly called me back and and subsequently met with me at my house to discuss the work I needed done (we also discussed his installing a front sidewalk and side patio but I did not ask for an estimate on that work) On June 4th, I received an email from Mr. Scott with an attached proposal for lawn care maintenance and the other miscellaneous work. The next day I emailed Mr Scott to let him know I had to contact my current landscaper (who had been cutting my lawn) to determine what he would charge for lawn maintenance. About ten days later (June 15th), I received an estimate from my current landscaper. On June 16th, I emailed Mr Scott that it would be too complicated to switch lawn maintenance companies this year since my current landscaper was involved in doing other work for me, but that I would like him to still do the vine cutting and herbicide work ($300). In the email I asked him to call me to discuss this. After I did not hear from him, I called his office on June 23rd to talk with him. The person I spoke with at his office told me that she had been on vacation and that is probably why he did not call back. I affirmed that I would like Mr. Scott to do the vine and herbicide work and perhaps even do a stone front sidewalk/patio in about a month or two. This same person said that the company might be able to send someone over right away to do the vines and herbicide work. The next day Mr. Scott called me back in the morning, but I missed his call. When I discovered that he had called (about two hours later), I called his office explaining that I missed his call because my cell phone was charging in another room. I gave the person I spoke to both my cell phone and home phone numbers. The person I spoke to said that she would let Mr. Scott know that I called. I received no further communications from Mr. Scott. Accordingly, no work was performed by the WD Scott Company.

I was very pleased. The price was a little high. They gave personal service. They were here when they said they would be here. The job took the amount of time they said it would take. They left the site clean everyday. Everybody was very courteous. Just all in all a good experience.

Our association interviewed 3 companies from homeowner recommendations. We have been very pleased with our choice, Mr. Scott. He did what he said he would do in a timely manner, was very professional and easy to work with. We expect Mr.Scott to maintain our subdivision for a very long time.

They reviewed my lawn and provided a detailed recommendation for treating, aerating, fertilizing and overseeding my lawn. In addition, they provided a full year plan to get my lawn back in shape. They were prompt and professional. I was very pleased with their level of customer service.

We just started using them. They are great. I would recommend them. I am sure they cut as well but I can do that. We had some issues in our yard that I needed a professional to help me with. We just started working with them this past year. They have done a good job. They are responsive and do what they say they are going to do, when they are going to do. It is nice I don't have to call them. They are here when they say they will be. They do their job. I was comfortable with the price but I did not do a lot of research. I am sure I could have found someone cheaper and more expensive.
