Date: 11/19/2013-This is a copy of the letter concerning repairs done by Tidmore's for the Sessions Court. No body appeared from Tidmore's TO: Sessions Court FROM: William A. Reed DATE: 6/28/2012 RE: Tidmore's Lawn-AKA- Tidmore's Lawn and Equiptment-concerning one John Deere Riding Lawn mower and one push lawnwower. Dear Sir or Madame, I had made arrangements for a John Deere Riding Lawn mower to be repaired by Tidmore's. Check # 3391 for $150.00 was written to this company on 6/8/2011 as a down payment for work based on an estimate of $450.00.Checked onthe machine several times and was told that the machine had been repaired andcould be delivered. Check #3495 for $387.00 was written to Tidmore's on1/30/2012. The balance on the John Deere was $294.00. I was told that a problem had been found with one of the wheels at that time. This wheel was to be replaced at no charge. Several more calls were made to check on the progress on repairs. On several occasions I was told that he machine was ready and would be delivered the following day. A call prior to delivering the machine was requested each time. The last call was on 6/19 with the promise of the machine being delivered the following day. No call. The machine remains at Tidmore's to the present date. The most recent excuse was that the wiring harness needed to be replaced, as the machine would not start. Asking if this should have been addressed in January, there was no reply from the person at Tidmores other than to blame previous work elsewhere. There is an additional push mower that has been picked up plus another push mower that is still at Tidmores. To date, Tidmore's has not been able to produce this other push mower. It was “at the warehouse” or were are going to see if it starts are the excuses on this second machine. The John Deere riding mower has been with Tidmore's for a calendar year at this point. There is no indication that the machine has been repaired. The condition and delivery date of the machine has been misrepresented several times. To date,Tidmores has been paid $444.00 for repairs for the John Deere machine. I would like to recover my money. There is no indication at this time that themachine(s) can be delivered in a usable condition. There is no indication that any thing has been done to the John Deere mower and Tidmore's has been unable to return the push mower. There were two subsequent visit accompanied by the police. Eric Tidmore did not appear in court and has made no attempt to address the judgement against him. The riding mower is not running at last report and has not been returned to date.11/18/2013
Description of Work: Made excuses and did not refund money or repair or return machines. Later learned that client had "F" rating with BBB with a long list of unanswered complaints. Most recently Tidmore blamed me for having work done elsewhere and threatened to have me arrested for criminal trespass should I approach him again to get refund and return of machines. It appears that no repairs had been done at the time the full balance on both machines was paid.

The most unreliable business I have ever had the displeasure of being involved with. I took in a 1200.00 riding mower that was having trouble steering and asked for repairs and to sharpen the blades on first part of April. I asked how busy they were and received the reply they were not very busy yet this season and I could expect repairs in 45 days. I checked approximately every 5-6 days and was promised every time the repairs would be completed the next day. Same answer every time I called. After a month, I stopped at the place to personally talk to Mr Tidmore. He was not in the office and refused to come out from the back area and sent an employee to tell me the parts had been ordered and would be ready in 2-3 days. I returned with my truck 5 days later to pick up my mower. I was told by an employee they were unable to move in the mower to the shop because the transmission was locked up. They said the mower was not wort repairing (It was 3 years old). I told them to load it on my truck and they were able to do so easily. As I was leaving, I was presented with a paper the helper said was my bill for checking out the mower. As I left I suggested what they could do with the bill. When I returned to my home and i unloaded the mower I saw what the problem was as it came off of the truck. It was visible from the angle that all that was needed was to tighten 2 bolts to fix the problem. I attempted to start the mower which of course didn't start. I raised the hood to check the battery. The new battery I had purchase

Took in for general maintenance and wear and tear. He replaced a battery that was only two months old and said that it wasn't holding a charge and that he had already sent the battery some place to get a new core in it and he didn't have the battery and that it wasn't any good. I expressed to them that I wasn't happy that I had just purchased a battery a couple of months ago and now your telling me that it wasn't any good. His remarks were, "when you buy from Lowes or Home Depot, they buy so many at a time that most of them aren't good when you buy them." His remarks immediately after that were, " I was just told to fix it and that's what I did. I have enough work as it is that I don't need anymore work"!!!!!!!!!!! That's not a problem with me, because I would buy a brand new lawnmower before I would take anything back to him, period! People need to realize that business owners like that deserve to go out of business. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS.

Description of Work: I too had exactly the same experience as previously reported. This company is the least reputable business I have ever had the displeasure of having to use. After months and months of telling me my mower wasn't ready, that ordered parts hadn't come in, I finally told them I'd had it. To my shock, after I had given the shop assistant a piece of my mind, he said to my face, "look mister, we don't make enough money servicing push mowers so we just put them aside and don't bother with them. They're a waste of our time All we're really interested in are riding mowers." Finally a truthful answer.

I took my mower to Tidmore's for a repair job in June of 2008. They told me that they would call me when they had it fixed. I never once heard from them. I called them multiple times (more than 10) over the course of the next year to inquire about the status mower. Each time they told me they hadn't been able to fix it yet. Sometimes that was because they were waiting for a part and other times they just hadn't had the chance to get to it. They informed me on a couple of occasions that my mower was particularly hard to repair due to complications with the manufacturers parts. This I could potentially understand, however what made my experience with them completely terrible is that they were completely unresponsive and lied to me several times. Most of the time when I called, they said something to the effect of "it'll be ready tomorrow", or "it'll be ready next week", "we'll give you a call and let you know when you can come pick it up." I never received a call from them. After about the 4th or 5th occurrence of this happening, I began asking them to call me either way, if they had been able to fix it or not, which they promised they would do. I never received a call from them. A couple of times I called and asked to speak with a manager, expressing my frustration with how they didn't do what they said they would. The manager apologized and said that they would call me either way. I never heard back from them. Finally, I decided to call and tell them that I intended to just pick up my mower, and asked them to have it ready (by this time it was around 11 months after I'd initially taken it in). They said it would be ready by Monday, and that they would call me, I again expressed my frustration with how they never called when they'd promised to, and asked them to make sure that they really would. I heard nothing, of course. Having heard nothing I went to Tidmores on the Saturday after the Monday they said it would be ready, when I showed up they told me that it still wasn't ready and that I should come by the following week. Finally my brother-in-law went and picked it up a week or two later. All in all, this was one of 2 worst experiences I've ever had with a company that was supposed to be providing some service. The worst part was not that they were unable to fix it, but that they repeatedly didn't keep their word, and never called to let me know what was going on. It seemed to me that they were just hoping I'd somehow forget about it.
Description of Work: They attempted and failed to fix my push mower.
