Termite treatment was good, but for other bugs it was Poor, sad, and useless

Discovered termite damage after 10 years of "treatment" by Terminix. Never can get in touch with the local office, always have to go through the national call center. They will "have someone contact you within 24 hours," but it never happens. We called when we found termites in one area of our office. A guy came out after a day or two, looked around in the basement, sprayed something in the wall and said that he would send a "team" to come back and do the proper treatment. They never came. About 2 weeks later, we found another colony on the other side of the office. We called again. Again we got the call center. Two days later, 2-3 guys came out and spent half the afternoon in the basement. 3 weeks later our construction guys came in to replace the floor boards that were damaged and found HUNDREDS more live termites in the exact place that was supposedly treated. We called again. Again we got the call center. Again we were told someone would contact us within 24 hours to schedule a treatment (not to come out and treat). I'm still waiting. It's been 2 days and no call. I called again first thing this morning and again got the call center. I've been assured someone will call me "as soon as possible." Apparently, "as soon as possible" was the following Monday. They finally came out, looked at our problem, said "it takes 90 days for the chemicals to work" (information that should have been given when it was done), but that they needed to confirm the work had been done -- the guy who did it was on vacation. They were to call last Wednesday. The manager said "if they don't call, have them page me." ... it's Monday again and still no call. So I got the call center again and asked them to page the manager of the Chattanooga office. Apparently, if the voice message they receive when they call the local office doesn't say paging is an option, then they can't page. This is just unacceptable. I've never dealt with a more inept group of customer "service" providers in my life. Our contract is up in a couple of months. We will not be renewing. I don't understand why it isn't possible for someone from the call center to have a direct number for the supervisor of the local office for incidents like this that require immediate attention. But then, I also can't figure out how after 10 years of "treatment" we have termites.

It is normally$240 but I paid $99. I was going to change providers so they changed the price. Scheduling is pretty convenient.

They are on a 3 month rotation unless there is a problem. I have used them at least 25 years. I like the professionalism regarding their services. They need to improve the training of the techs and if there is a problem with a tech not performing or doing duties correctly they need to switch out. Ive had to switch with them, and the tech I have now is a very good tech. They tried to find excuses for the tech not performing services rather then changing to another tech. I am very satisfied with the tech I have now. They do not advise the customers on a price increase, it needs to be done ahead of time, instead of an invoice.

They are okay. Very quick inspection.

They do have internet access to our account. The only problem is that the local office and the internet do not seem to be together on when the technician is coming to inspect. They will say they are coming one day and then they don't so they really need to improve that.

They're an "A".

I would have previously given them an A and I know it is a regulatory issue that they can't control but they are limited now on their ability to come in and spray the whole house every time. So they only come in on specific request, everything else is outside on the perimeter -- it is just not quite as effective. I pay it a year in advance. The price, punctuality and quality of work is fine.

It was fine. The best thing is they are timely with there appointments.

The house was 9 years old and they had been doing the preventative maintenance the whole time. They would come and spray either once or twice a year and then the preventative maintenance was supposed to be what we thought was a check and make sure kind of thing and then spray. It turned out we had been paying them to do something that they never did every year. It was about a $400 preventative maintenance that never got done. In the end they told us that that is not what they did. They just came around to check. We were paying for what we thought was spraying but they were not spraying they were just messing the house. It was pretty deceitful. It was a all brick house, and we didn't know we had termites until they started eating inside the bedroom wall. They ate several holes in the wall, and we didn't even realize that was happening until we started taking pictures down and stuff, and we had to have that fixed at the last minute, and hope that it didn't bring down the sale of the house. According to Terminix, they got it fixed, and the guy who bought our house got a clean health letter from a different company. Terminix came out and exterminated them and killed them, and if that hadn't worked, they would have done the sheet rock and all. If we were staying there, we would have them do the sheet rock. They were supposed to refund the money but they still haven't. A Terminix guy came one day, and asked to come inside, and he wasn't in uniform. We weren't expecting anyone, but his reason was to come in and check around the house and check everything, and he was in there for a good 30 to 40 minutes, and it was after that that we found the termites. I don't really know what his purpose was, he didn't find it. My husband had used him all those years, and he said they never had to come inside. We didn't get our service. They responded pretty well. I didn't think they were too professional, because the guy was there without uniform.

They are fine and come every month. They have a key; I am not home when they come.

They were very pricey, but I’m sure they provide a good service. They were actually about $150.00 more than the competion. They were very professional but very corporate. I told them exactly what I needed and they didn’t offer me an option other than the bait system.

I purchased the termite treatment with Terminix because they provided a bond for damages. 11 Months after getting the liquid defense system it was discovered we had termites. After a few weeks of back and forth and a bit of yelling from me, I was able to convince them we did in fact have active termites as well as some damage. Terminix did agree to have it fixed, covered the cost of repairing the damage, and installed a baiting system. I would have given an A, if not for all the work I had to do to get my point across proving we had active colonies.

Results are terrible and the service man is rude and unfriendly!!!! They said they do not have chemicals they can spray on hardwood floors, therefor we are not getting the service they said we would. They should have told us this before we signed the contract. Do not use!

I called to complain that they did a horrible job. The supervisor had someone come out that was clueless about his job. They were not able to give me the name of the bug that was causing me problems. One of the guys was unprofessional when I asked him his name and had an attitude about it. The only positive in this situation was that they eventually gave me my money back.

Choosing Terminix for pest control has been one of the best decisions we ever made. We tried every kind of bug spray you can find in the stores before turning to Terminix. We've now been a customer for over two years, and are very satisfied. If we even see one bug we can call them up and they will send someone out to the house for no additional charge. All we pay is the quarterly fee.

They were excellent, I am very pleased with them. They finished the job, but they did an excellent job. Only time will tell if it works. They were there very quickly, they did quickly, and they did an excellent job.

Not good we still have the spiders and they brought other pest with them

They did seal the basement with plastic and they sprayed the antifungal. However, they did not dig a trench in the dirt around the house to place the poison. They did drill in our concrete driveway. We had active termite damage when we hired them, so this was very important to us that this was done correctly. My family home was destroyed by termites. Termite treatments are supposed to work for 10-15years, so there is no way that this was done correctly. I assumed they did a good job, so, i realy was not looking for any damage. However, when the basement door fell off the house, I found the problem pretty quickly. I have at least five support joists that are powder on the inside now and all the flooring (110 year old hardwood). I am so very upset and sad.

I have been using them for about seven years. It has turned out pretty good. For termite control, they have a better guarantee than any other company that I have found.

I had termites 5 years ago and since then they come for maintenance every year. Just in case I do have termites then I have to fix anything that is wrong. They had the bug medicine too but it was too much it was $70 a year and I felt like I could do the same thing; I could basically treat it with what they were doing. The only bad experience I had with them was when they come and check for termites, they tell me what needs to be done but sometimes I feel they just say things to make me buy their stuff. I do not know if I would go with another company because I paid $1,200 initially and I do not want to pay that again. If they keep going up, I may just cancel. They people that came out have been good; I have not had any complaints about that.

Every time he comes it goes smoothly. Like I said my Dog who is very well behaved and rarely barks at anyone just won't stop barking at this guy. But he is very polite and goes about his business in a professional manner.

We've been using them for 4 or 5 years. We had no problems at all except they left the door open to the access under the house and we got a skunk in there which was not great. The price is a little high. We are not 100% happy with them. I just stepped on a spider.
