I went with Spectrum because they advertise themselves as being bonded and licensed. I had quotes of $50 from two individuals, and ended up paying Spectrum $85 every two weeks. But I thought the extra money would be worth it since my belongings would be safe. The very first visit, my wedding ring went missing. It was the only nice piece of jewelry I owned, and apparently I didn't hide it well enough. When I called the owner, Roger Davis, he told me he WAS bonded, but didn't have the bond needed to cover jewelry. Personally, I would think jewelry and cash would be the most common items stolen and the first bond he should have bought. He told me he couldn't cover the cost of the ring, even though he lives in one of the nicest neighborhoods in town. He also admitted the suspect (who quit right after my ring went missing) had some things come back on her during her background test, but she swore she had changed. So he hired someone he KNEW had stolen before, then didn't make it right when my ring disappeared along with her. He didn't even offer to give me back my money for the cleaning.
