company refused to refund full amount paid - however, my American Express customer service is inquiring.
Description of Work: ordered incorrect lighting to fit my needs - they reassured me that the fit would be perfect. Turned out when Electrician came (3Weeks late) he said the fixture will not fit . . . he returned the fixture to Southern Lighting with suggestions of many repairs on the ceiling before a fixture can be installed. I asked for a full refund and they refused by telling me there is a 25% restocking fee ($48.08) when the company is the one who ordered the product because they don't have in stock. Is that my fault?

Today, only one week later, they replaced the motor and it is operating perfectly with no noise, buzz or hum. So, although the warranty was passed Mark waived any fee. I was willing to upgrade to a another fan if this did not work. However, I did not need to. I am thrilled to have a small business owner in my area who is honest and guarantees their quality. They came promptly to evaluate and then to switch out. I highly recommend them and their merchandise. Their prices are reasonable for the excellent quality lamps they provide.

The townhome is 3 years old although I moved to the townhome only 1 1/2 years ago. I am the original owner. I also have independently purchased several floor and table lamps from Southern Lighting. One ceiling fan in an unused room had a persistent buzz and hum. I phoned last week when I discovered this and Mark Benson, the owner of Southern Lighting, came by within a few days.
