They quickly got us on their schedule and had the units installed in a matter of hours, which was great! Our upper level and attic stay much cooler in the summer now.  + -1 morethe crew arrived as scheduled. set-up and promptly went to work. took all the necessary precautions to protect plants. crew of probably 10 people plus owner. they worked fast and no dilly-dallying around. fun to watch lot of team work. alan sexton is by far the best contractor or sub-contractor i have ever dealt with. too bad they all aren't like him.

He did the work with a good experienced crew on the day he promised even though the job had to be stopped temporarily for rain, thunder, lightning. The work was of good quality and he personally commited to come back and fix anything that might go wrong with the roof for 5 years. So far (two rain storm), no leaks .

They were all very pleasant and professional. Our roof was very large and complicated. They did a great job, and I highly recommend Sexton Roofing.

 + -1 moreI called Sexton Roofing on a Tuesday morning and within 30 minutes someone was at my door looking at the problem and gave me a estimate that I thought was fair. He explained the problem and the solution. He indicated that he would be back to fix the problem the following day or next, but would call and confirm. On Wednesday, he called and confirmed that his crew would be by on Thursday around noon and he arrived, did the job as agreed upon.
Description of Work: I had a leak in my garage due to a valley on the roof that needed replacement.

 + -1 moreEverything was completed on schedule and a terrible leak (water pouring out of a ceiling fan motor!) has not leaked in the subsequent two months of above average rain. The price included replacing two attic ventilating fans in the re-roofed area that had failed a couple of years previously. Because of the absense of response from two other roofers called, the imminent forecast of more rain, and the good Angie's list rating, I paid the quoted price without negotiating in order to get on with it. Because I had no other quotes I should have at least tried to see if there was any give in the price --- the worst they can do is say "no".
Description of Work: We had a very bad leak in the shingled roof of a room that had the minimal allowed roof slope for drainage. After inspecting the existing roof, Sexton recommended re-roofing with a roll-type material more appropriate for minimal slopped roofs. The appearance of roll roofing was a concern but the house sits high enough that the roofing material can not be seen from the ground. The weather had been raining hard for days and there was about a one day window before it was to continue. Of the two other roofers that had been contacted, one did not come out to quote as promissed and the other did not return my call.

 + 0 moreOur roof was leakingbadly,and creating a mess. We called Sexton Roofing inthe morning of 10-07-2009, and Mr.Sexton was at our house early that evening. He fixed the leak immediately, then, at our request, showed us potential problems. We got other edtimates the next day, and called Mr. Sexton that night. Not only was his price excellent, but we felt comfortable with him. It took, onny a few hours and our new roof was in place, and the yard completely cleaned up.
Description of Work: Mr. Sexton first came to repair a leak,whichhe did. Then at our request, he gave us an estimate for replairing our entire roof. We got two estimates, and called him to do the job. We were impressed that, when we called him the first time to repair our leak, he was at our house early that evening. also, he was able to replace our roof two days later

 + -1 moreMr. Sexton and his crew arrived promptly on the scheduled date and worked diligently. On the first day they removed and re-roofed the second story of the house. On the second day they removed the remaining roof (over the garage and porch) and completed the job. They covered the patio, deck, driveway and sidewalk with tarps to protect our property and they cleaned up beautifully. They cleaned out the gutters and at our request removed gutter covers that were failing. Every member of the Sexton crew was courteous and professional. The quality of their work was excellent and they completed the job exactly as specified.
Description of Work: The owner of Sexton Roofing, Alan Sexton, responded to our telephone request for an estimate to replace the roof on our house. He came as scheduled on the same day we placed the call. The roof on our house had been "replaced" approximately 20 years ago. The company that performed the work at that time didn't remove the old roof, but roofed over it. We asked that Mr. Sexton provide an estimate to remove both roofs and replace with a 30 year architectural roof. Additionally, the estimate was to include removing and replacing the felt, installing a new ridge vent, replacing damaged decking (the estimate included replacing two sheets of plywood, if more was required we would pay $30 per sheet), installing new "boots" for all of the roof vent pipes, replacing a portion of the soffit damaged by squirrels, clean up of the site and removal of the old materials. The job was to be completed in two days, and a date was established. Mr. Sexton provided us with proof of insurance and other appropriate information.

I think that they should provide more detail with the estimate, I felt a little at risk and called back to ask clarifying questions. I called back several weeks later to schedule the work and they completed the job as scheduled. I went with Sexton Roofing mostly due to the positive comments on Angie's List and was not disappointed. They completed the work the same day they started and cleaned up all the debris - excellent job.

 + 1 moreMr. Sexton came by and gave an estimate. I explained that I would be getting other estimates also. He followed up in a few days, and I let him know that I wanted him to do my roof. We scheduled a time and he arrived early with his crew and began working. I had to get someone else to stay at the house because I had to work, but they arrived before I left for work. I checked by during my lunch break and both of the old roofs were removed and the new ones were nearly completed. They cleaned up and indicated that they would return the following morning to do the insulation and the ceiling for the room that needed it. They did, and it only took a couple of hours to finish. They were nice, professional and the area was left very clean. I was very satisfied with the job and the price, and I was very happy with the experience.

 + -1 moreGreat! They came when they said they would. They gave us an estimate which was accurate (final charges were on the low end of the estimate). They worked quickly. Their representative was nice. We know we need to completely repair the roof and we were given an estimate for that. We plan to do the job in the spring, but in the mean time, Sexton offered to come out to the house and patch any minor leaks for free. What more can you ask for?
Description of Work: We recently bought an old house. At the first really big down pour, we found two leaks. Sexton installed new roofing material where the big leak was and patched the smaller leak.

 + -1 moreThe most important things: They did what they said they were going to do and did it in a timely, neat and orderly fashion with care taken that my family wasn't inconvenienced nor made to feel the least bit uncomfortable. The yard was generally cleaned up at the end of each day and the job was complete in two business days. The crew were quite proud of the work they were doing and pleased to know that their good work was noticed. I'd hire these guys again in a second.
Description of Work: The company removed the old shingles from my house, applied thirty pounds of felt and re-shingled the roof with a thirty year dimensional shingle and added ridge vents and used drip edges as requested.
