Was contacted immediately after I called to set up an appointment for the next day. He showed up on time, was courteous and knowledgeable. He took apart my dishwasher and was able to make a diagnosis based on what he found. Unfortunately, after 12 years, the motor was going and he was upfront in telling me that it would cost more for him to repair than to replace the appliance. He made sure it was at least usable and recommended a couple of replacement options. Even though my dishwasher wasn't repaired - it still ran but not well - I appreciated his honesty. I checked out his diagnosis online and found that he was correct in his assessment. We now have a new machine and I'm thrilled with it.

I am so glad we called Scenic City and wish I would've called them as soon as we started having problems. I definitely will not hesitate to call them at first sign of trouble with any of our appliances in the future. One thing you might want to know is that Mike only takes checks or cash (as in real cash, not debit cards). I knew this going into it, but I had narrowed it down to two providers who both were highly rated, and I noticed Mike's prices were considerably lower (probably because it's more difficult to come up with cash than to use a credit card), so I decided on Scenic City. Mike came out the day we called him; he is not chatty, but pleasant, fair and honest. He told us it would cost $80 for the freon and didn't think it would be worth that for a dorm-sized fridge, but would be more than happy to do that if we wanted him to (we took his advice and declined); He ran a cycle of the dishwasher to see where it was leaking, etc. and cleaned a little of the gunk out of the filter in the door (I never even knew you could pop that little grill thing off that's in the door, much less that you should be cleaning it). He didn't charge us for that and said if we cleaned it out that might fix the problem. Let me tell you, it was nasty! The dishwasher is a Whirlpool (as is the fridge) and it hadn't been cleaned in 13 years! After using toothbrush, sharp knife, kitchen sink hose and wet vac, it was cleaned and ready to go. We have run 2 loads so far with no leaks, so I think it's fixed. He said he would have to replace the whole door if cleaning it didn't work and with the age of the dishwasher, it probably would be better to just buy a new one. The fridge needed a heat probe or something to that effect (it's 14 years old). The ice in the tray was melted together and the lines (line?) were blocked. I may not know the names of things or even what he did, but that's okay. I DO know that he knows what he's doing and does great work at a very fair price. We now have ice, no groans and no water in the fridge. What was I thinking putting up with this for so long?!! Don't hesitate to call him. You won't regret it.

Mike and I agreed on a one-hour window, and he arrived on time. Very nice guy, very neat, very thorough. Within an hour, he diagnosed the problem as a faulty pressure switch and tube. He replaced them and all is well. He did let me know that his minimum service call is $55, which may be useful information for others.

I called Mike about our gas clothes dryer that was not heating up. After leaving a voice mail for him he returned my call within two hours and set up an appointment to come out the next morning. He arrived within the agreed time window was dressed very neatly and presented himself in a very professional manner. He quickly diagnosed the problem in the dryer and, to my utter amazement, he had the parts he needed with him to complete the repair. The repair was completed in less than 1 hour. I totally recommend Mike for any appliance repair needs.

I called Mike and he asked about the model of the fridge (GE). We set up an appointment for later that afternoon, and he was there on time. He was very professional and courteous. The appointment took about 20 minutes. He answered every question I asked and explained why the ice maker wasn't working. I would definitely recommend Mike and use him again in the future.

Service was good. He showed up, popped off some panels, ran the washer, and diagnosed it as a leak going into a bearing that would be more costly to fix than buying new. Total time spent was around 20 minutes. The price for such a quick service call wasn't exactly a bargain, but fair.

He thought it was the control board but called back after consulting with someone and suggested we call someone else who could talk with the manufacturer. He was professional and didn't charge us a service call since he didn't fix it.

On Wednesday night, we noticed the refrigerator compartment of our fridge was no longer cooling but the freezer side was working. Thursday morning, I called Mike @ Scenic City Appliance Service after I read all the good reviews on Angie's List. He was able to come out within a couple of hours and quickly diagnosed the problem. He had the part with him to repair it, and within an hour our refrigerator was back in perfect working order. He was so professional and quickly got the job done, and he also put our minds at ease since we were worried we would have to buy a new refrigerator. I would highly recommend Mike to anyone who needs appliance repair. He's awesome!

Everything was very satisfactory. Mike also called a wholesale appliance dealer and had them put aside a part we needed that we could install ourselves saving several dollars. He was very neat.

I explained that the tub banged against the side while spinning. He found the problem was caused by movers who did not support the tub properly. He installed the supports. He also checked to make sure the dryer was wired correctly since we had to switch from a 3- prong to a 4-prong plug. He was prompt in his arrival and fixed it on the spot.

I described the problem with my washing machine not cycling but that I could do it manually. He suggested that I pull the hose out of the pipe as it was too far down in the pipe. I did and just ran a load, and it ran perfectly. I don't like to generalize from one experience, but so far, so good. And at no cost, the price was right!

Mike was professional, to the point and got right to work and fixed my leaking washing machine (a general electric) within 30 minutes. He showed up when he said he would and even called to let me know he was on the way. I really appreciate this type of communication from repair people who come to my home. It is very rare these days! He has joined the very few other names on my refrigerator as approved to call again.

I contacted Mike via telephone and he quickly returned my call. He was able to arrive at my house within 90 minutes and fix the dryer in 20 minutes. He was very professional. We will call him again if any of our appliances need service.

Mike was very nice. He went right to work and had both jobs done in 30 minutes or less. After showing him the oven, which the door would not stay "down" when fully opened and the washer would not drain or spin, he tested both even made the adjustments to the oven door and then provided a diagnosis for the washing machine and provided a verbal quote. He stated that he carried the part he needed to fix the washing machine on his truck so the repair could be done immediately. After agreeing to the quoted price for the oven door adjustment and lid switch Mike went right to work and had the repair done in about 20 minutes. He was very nice and tidy, he even answered a few other questions along the way.

Very easy to contact. Answered as soon as I called. Very quick response. At my home in less than 90 minutes. Very quick repair. Diagnosed problem and repaired dryer in less than 20 minutes. Cost seemed a little high but since I have never had this service performed before, costs could have been mainly in parts. In any case I will definitely recommend their services to my friends and family and continue to call this company any time I have a problem with small applicances.

As I discovered online this is a generic problem with some Whirlpool refrigerators. He was aware of the problem and quoted a price over the phone. He was prompt, fixed the problem and so far the leak has not reappeared.

The gentleman arrived on time, was extremely polite and knowledgeable. He immediately diagnosed the problem, had the required parts in his van and repaired the machine. The whole job took less than 20 minutes. Machine has worked like new since his visit.

I called several places recommended to me that day my washer quit with a load of clothes in mid cycle full of water. He answered, said he could come over 20 mins, was punctual, tried several things, took control panel down, showed me the breakage, replaced control panel and has worked ever since.
