Michael Addisen

We had a pay a little more because of the height of the ceiling but it was worth it. The only downside was that some of the workers were bickering. I think that should have waited for another location.

The work was excellent. Michael at Addison always does an excellent job.

We had water damage on our upstairs hall ceiling. Michael came out in a very timely manner and evaluated the damaged. They came that afternoon and patched up the damaged section then primed and painted the entire hallway ceiling. They did a beautiful job and were extremely professional. I will definitely use Addisen for future jobs.

Michael ans his staff were prompt and professional. They did a great job and I was able to schedule the work within a week of our initial contact. I have a list of projects that I am planning to use them for in the future.

We hired this crew because of the Angie's List deal and then added some work to their scope. For starters, we have a one-yr old so we arranged the times and dates around the best schedule for her. The first day, the crew showed up 40 minutes early without calling. They offered to leave and come back at the time we'd scheduled, then they were late and entered our home without knocking. I expressed to them that they needed to just come at the agreed upon time but the second day they showed up an hour and a half early, at a time that I had specifically said was not good for us. In general, the wall coverage is good but the cut-in was less than stellar. They overpainted on almost every door frame (we just moved into this house and don't have touch up paint for the trim). Granted, the existing paint job was not perfect either, but this accounted for only a few of the issues. For some things that any professional painter should know as standard, the crew had to be instructed on multiple times and, in some cases, still didn't do (i.e., cover the furniture and rugs, do two coats of paint, mix multiple cans of the same color into one large bucket before starting). In response to this we were told something like "we try to coach the guys but sometimes they just don't get it." Well, when you hire a professional painter, you expect that the people actually painting the walls have done this before. I had to do way more supervision than I should have had to do. In our hallway, stairwell, and living room, I'm fairly certain they only did one coat. I asked them repeatedly to do another coat on the cut-in and they never did it. At the end, we just had to scan every single part of the cut in and have them touch it all up, which took way more time on both our parts than if they'd just done a second coat to begin with. The shortcomings were blamed on the poor lighting in the house, which I warned them of at the start and was told not to worry about because they had spotlights, which they used the whole time. After they went back and did a lot of touch up and scraped where they overpainted, the walls look fine. If you're looking for a painter for a budget price, and aren't worried about the attention to detail, then you might consider these guys. The whole process was frustrating for us though and we would not rehire them. It's probably also worth noting that when we wrote the check at the end of the project (for the amount over the deal we'd purchased through Angie's List) we were told to make the check out to someone other than Addisen. We purchased the deal through Addisen and as far as I'm concerned that's who we hired.

Michael was excellent to work with- he emailed me invoices as the work progressed, and the quality was excellent. They worked at odd hours sometimes (later in the afternoon into early evening), but we were very happy with the work!

Very responsive and service oriented - great work

I found Michael to be polite, knowledgable, and trustworthy. He was on time when he called, when he came, and he provided us with excellent advice. The two nice men came, as promised, the very next morning. My husband and I had a prior engagement, and so were not able to be there when they arrived. They were, in fact, mostly finished by the time we got back home that afternoon. We hardly recognized it! (I could SEE my house again!) They had done a Thorough job of pulling up the overgrowth, (even mowed what was left.) Then they had cut back all the limbs of the mangled-looking bushes that had been covering up the front of my house. They even arranged the numerous loose bricks, which had been scattered (dangerously) around my back patio, into a visually-pleasing pattern. Some might think the property looks a little barren. But we are just trying to get back to a starting point; and progress here will require stages. But this is a great start. Addisen is giving me my property back!

Prompt estimation and completion of work, even though I live about 25 miles from Chattanooga. Friendly workers who did careful work. Left the site tidy.

Everything was timely and a follow up was done. Very happy with services. Assisted me with choice of sealant for a 5 year life. It looks great.

Michael and his helpers did a great job on our project. We are very pleased with their work. The house is very clean and the deck looks very nice. They began the evening we scheduled and finished the deck the next day.

Had consultation with Mike regarding work to be performed in morning. A few hours later an employee of his came over and performed work removing shrubs and a couple very small trees, transplanting bushes, and cleaning up yard. The employee was extremely thorough, quick, and did top quality work. We definitely got our money's worth and would use them again.

Mike and his crew did a great job. Not only have had this done, but they have also cleaned my deck and completely stained my deck (400 sq ft), put in a new mailbox. They always show up on time and get done when they say they will. I wo9uld highly recommend them.

They did a fabulous job. We're very pleased with the outcome. They worked very h****** a very hot, humid day.

It went great and they did a good job with the clear cutting and pruning. I paid an additional $100 for the pruning. What I was ultimately looking for was trimming of some bushes on the side of my house, but the end result had a few "stragglers" left over. They were a little late, but this was because they were coming from another job.

The team came in and did a very good job of covering up all the areas. Used drop cloths on the floor. Very neat and worked quickly. Painted trim and caulked around the windows.

We hired Michael because as I read his reviews (most of the favored ones are of his pressure washings) I failed to notice that his paint jobs don't get very good reviews. Michael, himself, didn't do the work. He sent four of his guys out and they spent a total of 92+ hrs of labor in our very small home. There was not a single place we could stay inside for 3 days, mind you, in 90 degree weather. No one room was complete until the job ended. Very disappointed because there was no prep work. They came in with ladders and paint and failed to tape anything off, trying to get "as close as they could" around things. We are still touching things up ourselves, a week later. DO NOT USE FOR PAINT JOBS

First of all I want to start out by saying I am highly critical of services provided and I it is rare that I give anyone an outstanding review unless they are truly outstanding. I called upon several providers to assess & provide me a quote for a complete strip, waterproof and painting of the outdoor deck to my newly purchased home. I can tell you the quote from Addison was by far most competitive. I met Michael, the owner in person. He showed up on time & was very professional and efficient. He completed the job in a timely fashion & was always mindful to stay in contact with me throughout the entire assignment. His crew members are very polite & professional. This man is a very efficient team leader & delivers as promised. Not only did Addison redo my deck, they also power washed & cleaned the gutters to my 5,600 sqft home. The painted the the door, front entry rails, polished the drive in & walkway for the same price that I was quoted by a major provider of services in outdoor deck repairs in the area just to the outdoor deck. My deck & outside of my home look phenomenal!!!!. The gutters are working perfectly!! I will definitively be using Michael & the Addison team for additional projects in the future. I highly recommend this provider for services in the area!

First of all, I have used Michael and his company several times in the past year as we have been remodeling and updating our new home. I have always had a quick response to my phone calls. Michael came within 2 days to give us our estimate for the work. He had one crew working to clear the brush, limbs and overgrowth in our woods within a couple of days. We were so pleased with how well the job was done. The difference in our backyard is amazing! Two days later, another crew of men came and worked tirelessly to remove monkey grass from one side of my home. There was a lot! It had been growing for 20 years along the side of the house. The men then put new soil and mulch as well as lay pavers in a section to place our large garbage and recycle cans on the side of our home. What a difference! The men worked tirelessly for hours as they dug out and placed landscaping edging on the other side of the home....the entire side from front to back and even a small section around the back corner of the home. They placed the new soil, planted many new plants, laid a protective barrier around the shrubs and then laid new mulch in all of the flower beds. Our neighbors have all commented on how nice the exterior of our home looks......every project has been completed by Michael and his crew. I will definitely use them again. The quality of work is second to none. They always clean up after they finish a job. I highly recommend Addisen!

I thought I had already put in a review for this company but it isn't showing up so I will do it again. He responded quickly to our request and was very courteous and willing to work with our schedule. Our grass had gotten very tall and we were concerned about how much this was going to cost and were very happy to get the introductory price deal that was offered on Angie's List when we signed up. He was very prompt in his responses and a time was worked out quickly. He was up front with his prices. He brought a helper and they worked for 2 hours. I did not extend the time they worked though it was only 25.00 more per hour. I thought that was a pretty good deal for the amount of work they were doing. They had the lawn, weeding and weed whacking completed in two hours. The lawn looks great. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Mike did great! He hit all the items on the list--all to my great satisfaction. I have some other projects I've beein avoiding, and I plan to hire Mike to take care of them. I'm very pleased!
