Description of Work: Second visit to clean house after initial whole house cleaning, disaster, and giving them second chance, had to request cleaning kitchen a second time because they didn't move anything on the counter and didn't touch backsplash! Had to reschedule third visit, brother in law on life support 75 miles away, and when tried to reschedule, Brenda, who did a very good job. quit and they don't have a crew to clean my size house! 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths?

 + -1 moreThe lady that did the cleaning was excellent. She arranged her schedule around my schedule. Occasionally, she was unable to come and another lady was sent. Although she did an adequate job I preferred the normal lady as I felt she was more professional.
Description of Work: Cleaned 3 bedroom 2 bath home and guest bed and bath in converted garage.

 + -1 moreI used this service for housecleaning every 2 weeks for a few months. Same as most other cleaning companies. Ok job for the first couple cleans, but spotty and sloppy work (and less time spent) thereafter. I always speak to the manager at least twice before firing a service to tell them my complaints and give them a chance to improve. The cleaning after a complaint is always better, but after that it is back to sloppy as usual.

Description of Work: Overall their service was good. They arrived on-time to discuss their service and for the initial cleaning. The price was very good to clean / dust 3 rooms. The two ladies were at the house just short of an hour. |The issue we had with this service is it was just lite cleaning. They did a good job on the tub/shower/vanity tops but the rest was just dusting. We were expecting bathroom floors to be mopped, corners cleaned, light fixtures cleaned ... a deeper cleaning than we normally do ourselves.

 + -1 moreI have paid them 150 dollars for a lot of cleaning and I think they were pretty good. I can't say that they were excellent but they were good. I don't think they are as thorough as I have expected.

Description of Work: I hired Merry Maids to clean my one of my rental houses. My main goal was to get the wood work and my hardwood floors cleaned, which I told the guy on the phone. I specifically asked if they do heavy duty cleaning of woodwork and he assured me that they do. They sent 2 older ladies out. The house looked worse than before they cleaned it. They vacuumed and swiped a mop around to "clean" the floors. You could see dirty swipe marks and they didn't move any furniture. The woodwork looked untouched when they were done. The only other thing they did was wipe down the counter tops with a damp towell and they didn't even do that properly. At the end, I checked it and pointed out obvious dirt on the doors and the wood work. One of them did a deep sigh and groaned. These women did not have the stamina needed to clean a house. I'm a realtor and I will make it a point to tell all my clients and other agents to stay away from Merry Maids. Biggest waste of almost $200 I've ever spent. They're a total scam.

 + -1 moreI just moved to town and this is the first maid service I have tried in Chattanooga. While they are good, I have had better cleaning in other cities. They are quick, prompt and dependable. Right now, they are good enough to continue. I am hopeful they will improve as I communicate the things that matter most to me. I am certainly satisfied enough to keep using them.
Description of Work: I am using Merry Maids monthly. They have been professional, punctual, and willing to accommodate all of my needs. I have used them for 3 months and plan to continue using them monthly throughout 2013! The price is a bit steep but they are insured and that seems worth it. They do a fine job but could do better. They are the best I have found so far.

 + -1 moreWe have used this company about 4 times to clean our house (every other week). I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but have been unhappy with their service. They were hired to clean our house and they seem more interested in being fast instead of good. Unclean mirrors in my bathroom this week is the last straw. I will not be asking them to return.

 + -1 moreThis franchise provided a weekly cleaning estimate, which was high. I scheduled their first cleaning appointment anyway. When the team showed up, they told me the price for the first visit would be about $50 higher than the estimate. They said the first cleaning would cost more, which was ridiculous since the house was regularly cleaned before their visit. When I questioned the new price, the supervisor told the girls to leave and not perform the work.
Description of Work: I hired them to perform weekly cleaning service.
