In preparation for having our house repainted, I contacted Improve America to replace some various pieces of rotten wood on the exterior of my home. Mel responded to my request quickly and provided an in-person estimate. It took a bit of time to coordinate the start date of the project, but once that was nailed down everything proceeded smoothly. Once the initial work was completed I noticed that some of the luan that had been installed was buckling from moisture. Mel personally inspects all of the work that has been done and he sent his crew back out to replace the buckling luan, as well as a few other rotten boards that I had failed to notice earlier. This additional work was completed at no extra charge. Overall, I was very satisfied with the results of Improve America's work. Mel Madaris is a consummate professional and I would not hesitate to work with his company in the future.

We were very pleased with them overall. They were very prompt and responsive, and they cleaned up after themselves. The project manager was Andy and he was very good and he answered any questions we had. There were a few things that were not right, the electrical work being one of them, which they did not do themselves. That was a little bit of a disappointment, but we would certainly consider using them again. We spent $ 150000 and that was right within the estimate.

The initial contact was made by email with attached pics. We were quoted a time and materials rate for two workmen. We contacted the company on Monday--workers began work on Tuesday and completed it on Wednesday.

We really liked Mel Madaris. He was very efficient.

Improve America was the lowest of three bids I got for the work. All of the bids were within $1000 of each other. I checked references and got good reports on Improve America. I worked with Andy Sellers on developing the bid and throughout the process. The job took about three weeks, which is what they had estimated. All of the work was done professionally and expertly. If I was thinking one way and Andy was thinking another, we quickly came to an agreement. Only one change order was executed to to add a vapor barrier to the crawl space under the house. Andy constantly kept me informed of when certain work was to be done, and it was done on time. After the work was complete, we did a walk around to be sure I was satisfied with all the work. Everything was done in a quality and professional manner. I would definately work with Improve America again.

They did a really good job. They cleaned up really well and had really good subcontractors that did good work. I would hire them again in the future and recommend them.

He showed up on time for bid, gave written bid the next day. Price was in mid-range with other bids we received. Scheduled start time and the workers showed up on time every day. They cleaned up every afternoon. Very professional and good-looking work.
