Description of Work: On June 20, 2016 we contracted with Hyde Moving (owner Jeff Heisler) to move us on July 6th. He understood that this was the last possible date for our moving since we were to close on the house on July 8th. In order to move us he required a down payment of $235 (first warning sign) and requested the payment be made to him not his company (second warning sign). On July 5, I was notified by his wife Angela that due to his truck breaking down in Texas that there was a strong possibility that he would have to put off moving us until Thursday July 7. I told her that we had to have the move on the 6th and if they could not guarantee this we would have to look elsewhere. She did not believe this would create a problem in getting our down payment back. We were fortunate to have some else move us on the 6th. A week later my wife was able to contact Jeff Heisler and he stated the he would refund our down payment. This is the one and only time we have been able to talk to him. He never answers his cell or business phone or returns any messages we leave him. The only reason he returned the first call from my wife was because he didn't recognize our new number. A month has passed and we have received no refund.

Three guys of questionable character show up. Complaining from the get-go. Only the crew chief was respectable. The owner loves to talk to you and sell you on his down-homeness. But it's all a scam for horrible service. One guy was, 19 y.o. and never done a move, another living at the shelter. $700 of damage later, the owner never paid up and never gave me insurance info.
Description of Work: Move a 3 bedroom household from one house and storage into a new house.

Communication and service have been poor from start to finish. The packing seemed to go OK, but once the trucks left things started going downhill and have gotten worse since. The day after my household was packed and the trucks had left, I received two phone calls asking me if Jeff (the owner) had asked me for additional money and advising me not to give him any if he did. Callers identified themselves as an employee and as a family member and stated that Jeff had a periodic alcohol problem, would ask for additional money, and wouldn't remember any of it. I was pretty freaked out by that but actually never heard anything from Jeff or anyone else afterward. In fact, now, months later, I have still never heard from Jeff. A couple days later an employee did let me know that my household was successfully put in storage. It stayed there for several months and was delivered in early August after we bought a house. Numerous items were damaged, destroyed or lost during the move. Repeated phone calls and written lists delivered to mover over the last 2 months (August through November, 2009) have been ignored. Two employees did deliver a repaired filing cabinet and picked up a "piano board" that they left behind but numerous other items have been completely ignored. Here's the list that I provided to mover's employees. I guess I expected that a move would result in some problems, but I also expected the mover to resolve them. I did not expect any business to so completely ignore repeated customer requests for assistance. I have never heard back from Jeff, not once. Here's the list: Vases shattered due to poor packing (not repairable). Base of metal patio chair bent (probably not repairable). Artifical flowers smashed due to poor packing (probably not repairable). 2? x 3? frame for painting broken (repairable). Antique walnut table: top split along joint (repairable). Antique secretary drawer: pull broken off (repairable). Suction tube for leaf blower - missing. Slats for double bedVase shattered due to poor packing (not repairable). Base of patio chair bent (probably not repairable). Artifical flowers smashed due to poor packing (probably not repairable). 2? x 3? frame for painting broken (repairable). Antique walnut table: top split along joint (repairable). Antique secretary drawer: pull broken off (repairable). Suction tube for leaf blower - missing. Slats for double bed - missing. Adirondack chair, wooden, white - missing. 50 gallon blue plastic garbage can w/ lid - missing. 50 gallon green plastic garbage can w/ lid - missing. Long handled tools - missing: 3 shovels 2 hay forks (2-tine and 3 tine) Pressure washer, Karcher, electric - missing. Chain saw, Husqvarna, 18? - missing. Mitre saw, off-brand from Lowe?s - missing. Aluminum extension ladder, old 20? - missing.
Description of Work: Moved household approx 500 miles to Chattanooga, TN.

Kenneth and Charlie arrived at the Approx. Time agreed on. After being informed of the furniture pieces and where they were to place them they proceeded to perform the tasks requested in a very professional manner. I was well pleased with their work and the cost.
