Description of Work: My laptop computer had run out of storage space. It turned out that an application had been writing to the wrong drive. The Geek Squad transferred the data and re-assigned the data to write to the large, mostly unused, data drive. Now the computer is performing as it initially did.

My Internet provider's router was insufficient and the router extender was added, but it could not resolve the connectivity problem and Geek Squad advised I should contact the ISP to have the router replaced. I did so and contacted Geek Squad of the replacement and asked that they set it up because the password had been changed by the ISP technician. They were able to resolve the problem in a timely and very efficient manner.
Description of Work: Installed new wall mounted TV and added extender to router for improved signal to TV.

+ -1 moreI bought a laptop at Best Buy--that part was okay. Bought their service contract. I had an old laptop and paid them $99 to transfer the data from the old one to the new one. The old laptop was in the shop at the time, so I ended up using my new computer for a month before the old one came back. Here's where it all went downhill. They kept both laptops and said it would be ready to pick up by the end of the day. I went to pick it up, and started looking for things...they had only transferred a couple of things. They apologized profusely and promised to have it ready the next day. The next day I came in and they had it there for me...until they realized that NOTHING had been done. Someone had assumed that the work had been done, and it had not. So, third try. I came back and they had transferred most of my documents, but it seemed that some of my pictures were missing. The Geek Squad guy transferred a few more files. When I got home, I realized that somehow he had erased all of my new pictures that I had taken since I got the new computer. The data transfer was completely incompetent and so frustrating. The fact that they erased a month of pictures of my kids with a simple data transfer makes me utterly unsure of the Black Tie Geek Squad package I bought with the laptop. I'm reluctant to ever let them touch my computer again.
