Foster Electric

I called Foster because they were the top rated on Angie's List. I wasn't able to get an appointment until the second day, and the latest they make is 1pm. This a little inconvenient as I had to take an entire half day off of work. The gentleman called about 10 minutes before my appointment time to confirm that he was on his way. I think his name was Scott? Sorry I am not able to remember! It was raining outside, and he put on booties to come into my house. Our problem was that half of the electric outlets in our kitchen didn't work. I tried to figure out the problem a few days earlier, and just wasn't able to fix it. He began troubleshooting the problem, letting me know what he was looking for, and what he was doing. So I began to tell him what steps I had taken the night before. Unlike some past experiences, he actually listened to me and didn't brush me off! I don't think I was all that much help, but maybe made it possible for him to cut a few steps. He found the problem and promptly fixed it. I had a coupon from their website,, but he suggested I pull the coupon from Angie's list, as it would save me a few extra dollars. I pulled it up, but for some reason it just wouldn't print! He gladly honored it, and I even suggested he take a picture of it if he needed the paperwork to turn in. I was very frustrated that I wasn't able to figure this out myself, but overall this was a great experience, and less painful than I imagined! I will certainly call Foster Electric and recommend them to anyone!

Electrician was scheduled for early morning, and literally showed up right on time to the minute. Service was performed quickly, efficiently, and the provider was very pleasant as well. No extra charges, just what was quoted for the service call. Would definitely use again.

Two electricians showed up on time and went about their work efficiently at the various small jobs I had them perform. They were friendly, seemed very competent at their work, and were a pleasure to deal with. I was especially pleased with their choice of placement of the bathroom exhaust fan/light. The fixture is very attractive and they got it in the perfect spot in the bathroom. We also discussed a possible future installation of a whole house generator and they seemed very knowledgeable of the process and gave me some advice,including a couple of things I had not considered. I will use Foster Electric again.

Overall, everything went well. I called on a Thursday afternoon and arranged for an appointment toward the beginning of the following week. The technician's initial diagnosis was incorrect; however, based on the tests that he did before leaving our home, it looked like the solution he came up with had solved the issue. It wasn't until I was trying to show my husband that the outlets in the kitchen were now working that I realized the problem really hadn't been addressed. By then, it was around 5:00 and I called Foster Electric to inform them that we were still having issues with our kitchen outlets. The gentleman that I spoke with apologized and asked if they could come back the next morning at 8:30 to address the problem. True to their word, the technician was there promptly the next morning and identified and corrected the real source of the problem very quickly. We have not had any further issues in this regard. The same technician was sent to our house for both visits. He seemed very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. It was a pleasure having him in our home. If we have any additional electrical requirements, we will certainly be calling Foster Electric again. We were happy with the work performed and we also liked the way Foster Electric stood behind their work and immediately rectified the minor problem that we reported to them. In fact, I recall that the person I reported the problem to seemed far more concerned over our issue than I was at the time. I certainly understood how the technician (and I) thought he had solved the problem on his first visit since he had done his due-diligence and verified that every single outlet was working before leaving the house. It was just one of those strange situations and I'm glad that they were able to swiftly get to the bottom of the issue the next day.

On Christmas Eve, my wife was changing a light bulb. When she flipped the light switch, she heard a POP, and then the lights wouldn't work. I checked for tripped breakers, reset the GFI receptacle, and performed other, basic troubleshooting. No luck. Since the location was not urgent, we waited until after Christmas to call. After consulting Angie's List, I chose this contractor. They scheduled me for the next day, and the electrician was very prompt. He checked our system, identified the problem, and replaced the bad switch that was causing our problem. He was very professional and courteous.

Foster electric called when they were supposed to be coming and showed up on time. Installed some lighting for me and did an excellent job. Took extra time to show me some other things about my house. Very good company.

Foster's was the first company I contacted. I needed the work done ASAP and they happened to have an opening on the same day as my call. The electrician, Scott Jones, called about 30 minutes before arrival right on schedule. He was courteous, honest, professional and the work is clean and doesn't detract from the walls of the basement. He did a great job and I would recommend him to others.

I called Foster Electric to have them come out and repair and add some lawn lights in my front yard - they were able to come out the same day! Also while at the house, I got a quote for another job that I'll have them do in the future. Very friendly, prompt and professional - am so glad to have found a good electrician that is close by.

The two electricians came promptly at the time they were expected. They looked at what had to be done and estimated that it would take about an hour to install. As it turned out, the fan that we had purchased from Home Depot did not fit in the hole that was left in the ceiling from our old fan. This necessitated having to come up with a plan B. They found an excellent solution to the problem and even though the job was much harder and took longer than they had expected, they gave us a very reasonable price for the work. The men were very professional and definitely knew what they were doing. The next time we need an electrician, we will certainly call Foster Electric.

Very impressed with Jay and Foster Electric. Highly recommend if your looking for reasonably priced electricians who do what they say they will do.

I quickly discovered that I was in over my head on a track lighting project in my kitchen. I found Foster Electric on Angie's List. I contacted them on a Saturday via email and Mr. Foster responded in less than 4 hours. I communicated with them via email the entire time and they respond within 2 hours or less. They consulted me on beefing up the support for the junction box and getting the right bolts for installing the standoffs. They followed my drawing to scale, hand bent the rail on site to my specification and installed in a very short time. The transformer, which I purchased on my own, was bad upon receipt and it had to be returned. The manufacturer did not believe me and Scott helped out with talking to the technical service person and got a new transformer sent to me at no charge and the defective one returned. They returned to finish the installation and everything works perfectly and looks beautiful. They cleaned everything up when they left as well. They saved me time, money, frustration, tears, and from a bad installation experience. The lighting system works well and looks much better than anything I could have done by myself. They were also very helpful with finding a time that would suit my work schedule. They were a joy to deal with and are very respectful. They know what they are doing and I didn't feel like I was being taken advantage of because of my lack of electrical knowledge. I will definitely be utilizing their talent and services again in the future!

Had Foster Electric come clean up some shoddy wiring, replace the fuse box with a breaker box, fix a dryer outlet, and move a light switch. I'll be keeping their # for any future needs, very impressed with the professionalism and punctuality.

I got them from Angie's List. They were on time and courteous. Foster Electric had a good price and they gave a discount to Angie's List members. I thought that was pretty good. I look for ones that that had A ratings and looked at more than 5. And I look for coupons. That's how I found them.

The work had been promised done by another general contractor doing some other work for us. As this did not get done, Foster was quick to come out and take care of the work. The electricians were prompt, courteous, professional, and all about taking care of the job. They gave the quote and were ready to do the job if quote accepted. They even cleaned-up after the work was done, wow!

Scott arrived when he said he would and began working as soon as all of the needs were explained. If he saw something that I had not mentioned, he asked me and then fixed it. His communication throughout the projects I had him do was excellent. Scott is extremely professional at all times and gives helpful suggestions. I will continue to use Foster Electric and specifically Scott in the future for any electrical needs that I have. I am already planning on having him help with at least two more projects.

Arrived on time. Worked hard and did a professional job. This was a tough job involving crawling into some small spaces and getting really dirty. Scott kept a terrific sense of humor and worked hard throughout it all. Next time I need an electrician, I know who to call.
