+ 3 moreFelker Landscapes provides comprehensive landscape management for our subdivision. They have the knowledge, crews, and tools necessary. They are timely (even when delayed by rain), professional, reasonably priced, and clean up after each service. In addition, many of the individual property owners within the subdivision use Andy to maintain their yards. Andy and his project manager, Ryan, are always courteous and take care of business. We would definitely recommend Felker Landscapes and continue to use them!
Description of Work: Felker Landscapes provides complete subdivision common area service. This is an annual contract. We have used Felker Landscapes for many years to provide landscape planning, plant selection, mowing, edging, mulching, pruning, irrigation installation and maintenance, landscape lighting installation and maintenance, and special projects including clearing land and resolving drainage issues,

Description of Work: Andy Felker only drew out a format and gave us an estimate. The segmented pricing did not reflect the housing prices in the subdivision and, therefore, decided not to move forward. We might possibly turn to the provider again if home sales closings rise in price.

+ 0 moreGreat experience. Andy did a fantastic job and had the job completed in a couple of days. He brought a large crew in and got everything done and it looks beautiful. We have had several neighbors stop and comment on how good the yard looks. We will definitely recommend Felker Landscapes and will use his services again for other yard projects. His pricing was reasonable and fair. He asked a lot of questions so he could get an idea of what would work best for us. We have plants that are easy to care for and appropriate for our zone. The design is unique and yet still easy to care for. Could not ask for a better experience.

Felker had good good reviews so I called them and left a message with the info on what I wanted. Guess they are too busy or not interested. It is disappointing to not be able to find a good landscaper in this area. UPDATE - Andy called to apologize for not returning my phone call. He said they had been very busy but still he should have called. He set a time to come by to look at our property and called the next morning to let me know when he got close. April 29 I got the quote as promised. It was a well designed plan. We decided not to move forward with our plans due to other circumstances but after the initial delay in getting back to us I do think this company would have been a good company.
Description of Work: I called early Wednesday morning leaving a message asking them to return our call, This is Monday with no return call. UPDATED, he did get back in touch with me a day or two after this review was posted.

+ 0 moreAndy scheduled a consult within a few days of my initial call. He came by and listened to what we were looking for. We met again after a few weeks and he had the initial design as well as the costs. We felt that his estimate was very reasonable for the amount of time and materials. We had to schedule for Tennessee American to put in an extra meter which pushed back the timeline. Andy went ahead and brought his crew to start before the meter was installed so we didn't have to wait anymore. We were concerned that we would miss the prime planting time for the fall. The entire crew was hard working, professional and friendly. They completed the job on time. We love our new yard and appreciate the great job they did! We would highly recommend Felker Landscapes.

+ 1 moreHe met with me and my wife and gathered our ideas and he mixed in a little of Hordicultural degee and we came up with a good plan. His team showed up on time and immediately began to work according to the plan that Andy and drawn our for us to review. His crew did a good job removing all the old plants and shrubs. Once they were cleared new top soil was brought in to raise the flower beds up, new plants were planted and the each area was mulched and shaped. His guys removed all the old debris and left the lawn and driver like new. We will be using Andy's service again to complete the remaining area around our house in the near future.

His team showed up to my house on time and began working, quickly removing all the old and in with the new. His guys did a top notch job and dramatically changed the way our house looks and increased it curb appeal..

+ -1 moreFrom the first meeting with Mr Felker and every subsequent meeting concerning my Landscape project he was always very punctual and presented himself very professionally. The Landscape Plan took into consideration my plant likes/dislikes integrateted with a his creative design. Mr Felker produced a well illustrated plan, on time, which layed out the project in two phases: the primary beds adjacent to the house (plus front yard trees) and the plants/ beds at the rear of the property (for later work). Each of these were priced separately per my instructions. Mr Felker did a beautiful job on the primary landscape and completed it under very difficult conditions, timing the work between periods of very bad weather. I have had many complements on Mr Felker's landscape job by neighbors, friends and others who are currently building in my neighborhood. I selected Mr Felker for his documented performance on other jobs, professional training in landscape design, knowledge of plant science, and cost. In none of these areas was I disappointed. I also found him to be impeccably honest, and a very personable man. It was really a pleasurable experience working with him. If I had it to do again, I would select Mr Felker's company to do my landscaping.

+ -1 moreGreat plan. Plantings were poorly planted and mulched. 5 of 10 transplants died. When digging up the transplants they did not get a very good root-ball. Also, many transplants were void of dirt and mulch. Mr Felker showed up to collect his checks, but did not spend much time reviewing/inspecting the work that was being done!
Description of Work: Provided a great landscape plan, but very poor installation and follow-up! Did do a good job with cleanup and left no mess.

+ 0 moreAndy Felker and his team have the knowledge, tools, and personnel to do the job. The job went smoothly with a few weather issues and a few challenges with the excavation. They handled all very well. I would hire Felker Landscapes without reservation. Our experience was extremely good. I attribute this to the professional attitude, work ethic, and experience of Andy Felker and his team.
Description of Work: The project involved laying preformed large stack stones and pavers to set up a three tier above ground graden. It was a start from scratch project and included excavation, tiering the project, footers, leveling, cutting concrete and stone, laying the stone and pavers, installing multiple sets of steps, installing walking pathways, irrigation and landscape lighting. You think your project is small but when the first 18 wheeler flatbed pulls up full with pallets of stone and pavers you realize the true size of the project. Andy Felker is very personable and handled, with our input, the design, layout, preparation and execution of the project. His team was responsive and able to work through the normal problems of a project including weather delays. Andy also make very valuable suggestions that would decrease the cost without decreasing the concept or durability of the project. He also made recommendations that not only made sense but could save us money down the road. An example of this is to run two feeds from the irrigation valve that feeds the project to the first irrigation head in the event the primary one was compromised in the furture (frozen and burst comes to mind). The second pipe was for backup only and the cost was minimal. If we had to replace the original single line it would require digging up pavers and walls of stone to lay a replacement pipe at great expense.
