Disaster Master

Description of Work: was supposed to clean gutters and do light repair of gutters. repaired door to crawl space. hole underneath flooring beside pipes re home sale inspection report notations.

Description of Work: 10x12 treated deck with roof, new metal fascia & vinyl soffit, repair wood siding (water damage), new gutters and downspouts.

Description of Work: I had my home painted by Jimmy Bidwell, who did a great job. I asked him if he knew of anyone who installed laminate flooring. He recommended Disaster Master. "Bucky' Bruce came out and measured and quickly gave us a estimate. He agreed to remove and dispose of our old carpeting, move furniture, and install the need laminate. He made several trips to the house with different flooring samples until we found our choice. We wanted laminate installed in three rooms.

Description of Work: I did not spend any money because Mr Bruce kept putting me off week after week telling me he would come on a particular date and time , then not following through, so after this happening for four promised start dates of work for which I cleared my schedule to be present, I decided to look elsewhere . This happened with the date and time for the estimate, but he gave me a long explanation and apology so I gave him a second chance. I will say his responsiveness to calls and e-mails was better before I selected him to do the job, but got markedly worse afterwords. I would say if any one considers him for work, do not expect much in the a way of customer service. I have no idea what his work is like. UPDATED DECEMBER 21, 2012: I really didn't expect him to be truthful in his response but I would like to correct some glaring lies- I called Sherwin Williiams about the paint as the weather was very cold- they told me as long as the painting stopped about 3 in the afternoon it should be alright but make sure that happened as problems with the paint would not show up right away. I relayed that information to Mr Bucky. He voiced no objection at the time. Also- I never asked him to come back after the initial appt, he told me twice HE thought he needed to come out with his carpenter but then never did. I did not ignore any of his phone calls but he did fail to respond to some of mine so I found he responded better to e-mail. I did tell him when I finally called it quits with him that I was going to contact the BBB and also that I would write a report on Angie's list - it was just courtesy to tell him. He was the cheapest and he himself told me not to go with the cheapest so yes I did get another estimate!!it is very difficult to find workers who are professional and reliable...maybe because I am a single woman they think they can treat me any old way and then point fingers at me when I object .I do not want any one working on my house who is not reliable and professional but I think some people sadly just put up with it. .
