When I first contacted them, I told them I was looking for a new lawn service and needed a one time final mow for the end of fall and would like to use them regularly in the spring/summer. She looked up my address on google earth and called me back with a price of $70, I said okay and we scheduled the service. They came over Thanksgiving weekend while we were out of town, so I was not home to speak to the employees. Then I received a bill for $176. I called them immediately and told them that I had been quoted $70 and asked why they were charging me $106 additional. There were several emails back and forth and she finally said that they did leaf cleanup and there was an additional charge for that. I explained that there was no leaves to clean up, that my husband and I had just bagged 10 bags of leaves, and if there happened to be a few stray leaves still on the ground, they would have been mulched with the mower and there was nothing to clean up. I told them that I was paying the $70 that I was quoted and nothing more, since there was no additional work to be done and no additional work was agreed to. They decided to perform what they called leaf clean up (there were almost no leaves). They cashed my check and I thought that was the end of it, as I told them I wouldn't be using them in the future and believed they were practicing a bait-and-switch service. See my attached check that was written to them for full payment of what I was quoted. They have turned the $108 over to a collection service and are threatening to damage our credit. We have scores over 800 and both have good jobs. This is not about $108, it is about not allowing a company to add a charge that was not approved. If Dawson can show that we approved the additional work we will gladly pay the charge. we were never asked. We have not taken legal action for this small amount, but if they add this to our credit report, it will then be fraud.

Dawson Lawn Service failed to provide the lawn service we requested. When they arrived, the crew decided to ignore our request to trim to a lower height. When we contacted them to ask why they failed, they admitted they chose not to because they believed it would "do more harm than good". After pointing out that they should communicate with their customers before making executive decisions on providing service, they offered to return and provide the service as originally requested. After finally completing the service as requested, they billed us for both visits, despite their own failure to execute with the first visit. We made it clear we will only provide payment for one service - the service that was completed as agreed. Despite this, the company has continued to harass for us for payment for both visits, and has even passed this over to collections. We will not comply with demands from incompetent service providers, and encourage all current and potential customers of Dawson Lawn Service to choose other vendors.

I ended up discontinuing service due to lack of quality of their work! We had a dispute on a $50 charge. I tried to contact the owner and he would never return my call. He turned $50 over to a collection agency. He never showed remorse for trying to put a bad mark on my credit. Even thought it was funny when I expressed how frustrated I was with him. Unprofessional, and no respect for you the customer!

They are thorough and do great work. They take care of all issues and redid the front yard which looks fantastic. The prices are by far the best of anyone I received quotes from.

I was very dissatisfied with their service. They were hard to get a hold of and wouldn't return my calls. Then when they did come out, they did not do good work and had to come out multiple times to do everything correctly. Their workers do not speak English, which makes it difficult to communicate with, and were not supervised.
