Chattanooga Handyman

Hate to give an F for this, but there's really no other option that works. Per their voicemail message, they are no longer accepting residential customers, so don't waste your time calling. I felt that should be listed here so people don't waste their time with it. I never really thought it would be this hard to just talk to handyman in the area, the top 2 places around won't even talk to you.

Couldn't ask for any better service!!!!! Called one day, next day David came, they came in did the work and left. No mess left behind. Sent us an on line bill. No complaints at all....will certainly recommend them to all.

The project went very well. I was particularly impressed with the framing and modification of a door to fit the opening. An unforeseen condition occurred where there was another wall inside the space under the stairs. David was able to remove this wall as well, and the add-on cost was minimal and more than fair. David was responsive in his communications and arrived to complete the project when he said he would. I recommend David to others and would certainly use him again for small remodeling projects.

They did a really good job. He got me a bid. I called him to ask when he could get to it and he didn't call me back for over a week. I actually started looking for somebody else. But one evening he called back and apologized and said that their schedule had been thrown way off because of the rain. The work they did has been really good. The quality of the work was really good. When they said they were going to be here, they were here.

He came and removed this large cabinet and took it to Habitat for Humanity. He was so pleasant and nice. He was very efficient and came when he was scheduled. He was excellent!

He did an excellent job! I usually do not give all A's but David deserved every A. He's very professional, punctual, and detailed oriented. Anytime I had questions, he was always there to answer by phone or email. Chattanooga Handyman is my go to place if I ever need anymore work done around the house.

I had the pleasure of doing business with Chattanooga Handyman on a repair project. Following my initial contact, we scheduled a time to review the work to be done. Mr. Young was onsite at the agreed upon time and date. I know you’d think this would be a given, but I’ve been stood up more times than I’d like to remember by non-Angie’s List contractors. David Young provided a quote soon after the walk through. Once the quote was accepted, we scheduled the date of the repairs. David was on time for the appointment and immediately went to work. The repairs were done in a timely manner and I’m completely happy with the work done by David and his co-worker Clay. Payment was hassle free and I received a receipt via email that same day. I plan to use Chattanooga Handyman for future projects and I’m sharing my positive experience with my friends and neighbors!

They did a good job. They didn’t do a whole lot. The price was reasonable but I don’t remember how much it was. They did a couple of little jobs around the house but it was mostly plumbing and roof repair. This is the only time I used them but I would use them again. They were on time and they didn’t charge a lot. They did the work. I’m not sure how much it is for this type of stuff. Some of the shingles blew off from the roof and they actually got up and did it. I didn’t have any problems with it.

David handled it all perfectly. His work is exceptional. He is prompt and very courteous. He gives you an estimate and the work comes in exactly as it is priced. It is a ashame to me that I have now sold my house and moved to another city or else I would be calling David in the future.

I was very impressed with both the quality of David's work and the prices he charged. Very reasonable. We needed a lot of small items corrected before we listed our house. David was more than willing to do them all and was very punctual doing them. His follow through was excellent. It was a pleasure dealing with such a professional. I will definitely use him again if needed and will recommend him to others.

So far I've used David on three different occasions. The first time I used him he hung a storm door for me and replaced two electrical switches. The storm door looks great and works really good. One of the electrical switches that he replaced was on a four way circuit. When I first tried the switches they didn't work right. I called David and told him and he came back out and corrected the problem. The next time I used him it was to pressure wash the vinyl siding on my house. I also wanted to see if he could replace some of the siding that was damaged. He did a really great job pressure washing. Since my house is over 10 years old he had trouble finding siding to match. He has gone out of his way to try and find something that would work but so far we haven't come up with a close enough match. He has gone to several different siding places so he has really tried to find something. The last time I used David was to replace my kitchen light and hang two mirrors in my bathrooms. The kitchen light and mirrors look great. David has done an excellent job and I would recommend him.

David is highly skilled, punctual, conscientious, and personable. He cleaned our gutters, pressure washed our house and recently completed interior painting of large section of our 1st and 2nd floors, including 2 stairwells, and all trim. He painted without any taping or one drop of paint on the floors or other surfaces. He strives for perfection; and succeeded in every aspect of the work he completed for us. We have several other projects we want David to perform. He is the epitome of professionalism.

Pulled up carpet. Then pulled up padding & all the tacks & staples. Hauled off all the carpet & padding. Had to put down quarter round. Installed thresholds. Painted the hallway & foyer to match the walls in the den. All the work done was great. David & his crew did a great job! He is always punctual & is a very hard worker.

David is prompt and complete. He doesn't require close supervision.

David was very professional in communication, showing up at agreed upon time, quality of work, and clean up. Repaired 5 ceiling holes in 3 different rooms. Repaired very well and so clean afterwards you could not tell he had been there. Started caulking around tub and he did not like his initial color choice. He spent extra time to find a better match and it looked great afterwards. Would definitely work with him again!

Chattanooga Handyman was the low bidder. They were able to complete the job in one day. The final cost was lower that the estimate. I am very pleased with their workmanship and professionalism.

The man sent to do the repairs worked very hard and performed each task one after the other and measured the shelves in the garage to be sure they were level when installed; he did one task using the wrong nails and the owner David Young came out and redid that portion of the work to make it right and had adhesive put in the gutter without additional cost to me for the mistake. The finished product looked great.

I thought he did a wonderful job! He knew what he was doing, and he did the work! I was very happy with the work. He came over and gave me an estimate, and I like his estimate. It was not the cheapest, and it was not the most expensive. It is kind of the middle of the road. He could not get to me right away, because he is a meticulous person. I was very happy with his work, and I was very pleased with what he did for me! I would certainly use him again. He was prompt, and he did what he said he was going to do. It's very nice to be able to find people that are all reliable. I would absolutely use him again. Actually, I am going to call him again for something else.

Excellent work. He made two trips to apply and sand the mud to our ceiling. It looks as good as new!!!! He was meticulous in cleaning up his mess afterward. He did some extra work on one of the walls while he was there since he had some leftover material. Our ceiling had popcorn finish that was applied in the 1970's when the house was built. We were not able to make it smooth ourselves since we have no experience with drywall other than doing minor repair. He really knows what he is doing. He started on Friday and came back on Monday to finish. He was careful to let the repair dry properly before beginning sanding. A positive experience from beginning to end.
