This actually began a few weeks prior to the last date of service. Aaron was the contact and person who did the work at my house which is an hour or more away from Nashville. They found several holes dug around the crawl spaces and under the AC unit. The animals - skunks - had dug under the crawl space vapor barrier and made quite a mess of the area - it looked like they were planning a winter vacation there. So they put down some traps and removed the animals from the premises. In order to prevent recurrences of digging they put in a screen barrier and added more screened vents to the crawl space. They also put down a trench with cement slabs in it up against the screens so that anything digging to re-enter the crawl space would not be able to get thru the screens or cement barrier. A new vapor barrier was added along with a chemical treatment to clean and treat the area so that it wouldn't appeal to animals. Lastly they filled in the holes and in one case used cement to prevent anything from re-digging it in the same location. Throughout the process Aaron was constantly in touch with me and explained the entire operation as it proceeded. They guaranteed their work. Soon after another company was scheduled to do some work at the house and they found some fresh digging around an outbuilding. I contacted Aaron and he was down at the location to put in more traps within a few days. A gopher was removed from the location. All in all these folks were prompt, courteous, and treated my house as if it were theirs - I highly recommend them to anyone in need of wildlife removal or prevention and I will certainly use them again should the need arise. Purchased a house in wooded area and knew there were issues with criiters getting in. A man from Animal Pros came out and looked around the house, on top of the house, and under the house in a WALK-IN "crawl space". That's it. Took him less than 15 minutes. He spent most of his time sitting in his truck, writing up an estimate. He told me we had mice under the house...ummm, I knew that. That's one reason I called. He then told me we might have an animal getting into the eaves of the house. ummm...I knew that too. That's the main reason I called and I had even pointed out to him where the critter was and was getting in at before he started. I wanted the critter removed before I sealed it off so it would not get stuck in there and die and stink to high heaven. I thought that was common sense. Then he gave me an estimate for over $3500 to set mouse traps under the house and enclose any areas where critters can get in with sealant (with-out removing the critter first). Call me silly...but I'm pretty sure I can do that myself for way less than $3500 and I wanted the critter in the eaves removed before I sealed the opening...the main reason I called. Then he hands me a bill for $75. Are you kidding me? They had told me over the phone it would be $75 to REMOVE the animal from the eaves (I had all ready pin pointed the exact location of the animal and where it was getting in at), check for mice in house (because I found a couple of dead ones in "crawl space" and found mouse droppings in a bedroom), and check for any electrical, insulation, etc. damage and give estimate on any needed repairs (a couple of electrical outlets went out for no reason and we were concerned about the critter in the eaves possibly getting into the attic wiring, and insulation possibly being contaminated with animal feces). The man never even went up to check our attic which I specifically requested he do. He never checked any part of the inside of the house. So he never removed the animal. Never checked the attic insulation or wiring. Never even went into the attic. Never checked inside of house at all. Gave me a huge estimate to set some mouse traps and apply sealant...which I'm pretty sure I can do for less than $3500 unless the price of mouse traps has REALLY gone up drastically over the years...and basically charged me $75 to sit in his truck and write an estimate. NO....I would NOT recommend this company to anybody. In my opinion, this was nothing more than a rip-off scam.
