I had hired them to refinish my deck and my front entry door and side lites. I was told he'd be here 8am on Monday, when 8am monday morning came he was not here, I received a text at 835 saying he was running late as he had to stop at home depot to get sand paper. (Home depot is 5 minutes from my home. ) He showed up at 10am saying home depot was very busy. He started sanding the front side lites and at noon said he was out of sand paper and that he was leaving at 2 as he had another job to go to so he didn't have time to go get more sandpaper and get back so he got his other sander and started sanding the back deck and left at 2 without cleaning his mess up. On Tuesday he was to return at 8am so I made arrangements with my daughter to be here as I had an appointment. My daughter arrived at the house and when I left at 9am he was not here yet. At 918 I received a text saying he was running late as he had a meeting with the boss, I responded back saying it would have been nice to know yesterday that you weren't going to be here at 8. My daughter called the office at 10 and the receptionist was surprised when she was told that he wasn't here and told my daughter she'd call him to see where he was. Well it was obvious he wasn't at the office having a meeting with the boss. He finally showed a little after 10 and didn't even let her know he was there. He sanded the deck floor. I arrived home at 1130 and he was in his truck and at 1145 he knocked on the door wanting the stain. I told him that the deck wasn't ready for the stain as it still had sawdust all over it. His reply was he wiped it with his rag, I told him it needed to be blown to clean it up. He proceeded to say he didn't have his compressor with him as he didn't want anyone to steal it. So now on top of being late he didn't have the tools to do the job. I then told him the stain wasn't going down until it was cleaned and I came into the house and called the office and told them I wasn't happy with him and that I want him to leave if he doesn't have the tools to complete it properly. The office called him and told him to leave. I waited 4 hours for office to call me but they didn't I called them to see if they were sending someone else to finish the job or did I have to find someone else and I was told that they didn't have anyone to send. I will never refer them to anyone. Very unprofessional craftsman. the attached pictures were taken when he left show the sawdust on floor and house and all areas hadn't been sanded completely. Front entry shows not ready either. Craftsman name was Phil Lawson. Then a week later our mailbox was mysteriously destroyed at 515am.

Terrible. The man was late. He kept going out to his truck to take breaks. On the first visit he was here all day and had continuous problems with the faucets leaking. We had to put bowls under two of the three sinks to collect the dripping water. My husband worked in construction for over 40 years. He retired and just didn't want to do the work himself. When this man returned several days later to do the shower stall (we had family visiting and told him that we would call when it was convenient) he apologized for not having the faucets in good working order on the previous visit. He told us that he was "off" that day. He also brought a woman with him on the second visit and he would go out to the truck and sit there and she'd come in, to work in the shower stall. I went in to speak to her and she said that he had been to the doctor that morning and his blood pressure was up. I'm thinking to myself, "Why did he come to work, if he was sick?" I was getting more angry by the minute, because she is in there doing his work. Is she qualified???? When they leave, after my husband paid him, I went into the bathroom and find the most awful mess I have ever seen. The caulking was very sloppy, wide, irregular and indented in the corners. I was furious. My husband said that he would fix it. We had redone a bathroom and tiled our entire house ourselves when we lived in Florida. I call the company after several days of taking showers and looking at the caulk lines and explained to one of the owners that we were unsatisfied. I took pictures and texted them to the owner's phone. He never called me back and this was after he said that he wanted to make things right. I placed at least 2 more calls to his phone and he never picked up. VOICEMAIL! I left him a message telling him that I would never use him again and certainly never recommend him to anyone. I also told him that we would be digging out the caulking and doing the job ourselves. I don't know how to download pictures to my computer, otherwise I would put them on here. I would be very happy to text them to Angie's List. My husband signed the receipt that said he was satisfied with the work. He did so because, after dealing with this man and his shoddy work, he just wanted him out of our home. The receipt also stated that we had a year to get things done to our satisfaction, if we were not happy. At that point we were going to call and ask for someone else to repair the work. I did and got no help. Do Not Use Andy on Call!

The man that came out did not work for Andy on Call but was a subcontractor. He was dressed very unprofessional and came into my hEouse with muddy boots and tracked mud all through my house. He reaked of cigarette smoke and body odor. I showed him the work to be done and he began to tell me that he was going to have to do a lot of extra work. I began to get a very uneasy feeling about him. He said he would go out to figure my quote. he was outside for at least 20 minutes and after several cigarettes and numerous phone calls he came back in. His quote was more than $1500 higher than all the other bids. I asked him to leave. He left and his truck left an oil spot on my driveway and my landscaping was littered with cigarette butts. Andy on Call is not a company I would recommend to a friend much less anyone else. Unprofessional, and WAY overpriced!!! DO NOT USE!!!!

Joel was prompt and looked at the deck. He was not sure about the need to strip the old stain off and did not seem too familiar with the products available to do the job. His price seemed good but I do not feel confident that the work would be done properly. The price did not include the cost of material. I am planning to get more estimates.

In short: the work he did was fine, but he did less than what he was supposed to (convinced my husband the scope of work was less than he had discussed with me, and discounted labor with cost of tub hardware he bought for us, which he took back--?), and acted like he was doing us a favor. Couldn't remember my name and questioned whether I was making up my occupation. His helper was super awesome. But he came off as rude and some work looks sloppy. My husband and I were both uncomfortable having him in our home. Maybe he quoted it low or had a bad week. We were just happy to have the work done, even if it wasn't really done. I figured maybe something is going on with him, so drafted this but decided not to submit. Then today I go to get the mail, and realize he left the water meter/lid open with the tool to turn water on/off inside. I had to get leaves out of it. Glad my kids didn't fall in.

Was very responsive when calling to request work on a Thursday. Told them that the job took a 40 ft ladder since my husband would have fixed it himself if he had a longer ladder. Someone came to give me an estimate on Monday. He gave me a very reasonable price for the work of replacing the trim which consisted of labor only. He wrote on the estimate that it required a 40 ft ladder. On Tuesday, he returned to do the work. When he put his "not 40 ft" ladder up it was too short so he told me he had to go back and get his other ladder and would be back. I never heard from him that day or the next. On Thursday I called again and was told that he would be back on Friday. I had other plans so we worked it out for him to come on Monday. He did show up on Monday with his 40 ft. Ladder and completed the job satisfactorily.

Initially it went very poorly, we were not happy with the workmanship. We went with them because they had good reviews and they were available.

It's been a while so it's hard for me to remember what all they did. They did do some repair on the garage door. removed screens from windows we had some doors inside that needed repair . I know they did more but as I said it's been a while. I do remember we were pleased with their work and would use them again.

On time ,professional,kept area clean, no surprises.

I was not impressed with Andy On Call. My husband made arrangements with someone to come out on a certain day but they said they would call when they were on their way which is something we always ask repairmen to do because we have 3 dogs at home that do not like strangers. We always ask anyone coming to our house to give us this heads up so we can meet them and put our dogs up. The repairman did not call first but just showed up as I was trying to leave for work one morning (my husband was going to meet him that day as his work schedule is more flexible than mine). I was surprised to see him there since I thought he was going to call first, but I was not unfriendly. I merely expressed my surprise to him but in return he was very grumpy and rude and had an attitude when he suggested that we had forgotten he was coming. I tried to explain the confusion but just got more attitude from him. I ended up being late to work while I waited for my husband to come home to meet him. This was my first impression of the company and it was not a good one. One good thing I can say, is that he worked fast and was done that same day. However, the short amount of time he spent certainly reflected in the quality of work he did. The repair work was very sloppy and the texture of the repaired section of wall did not match the rest of the wall, nor did the paint. He had to cut out a rather large chunk of drywall to take with him to match the paint. The area he chose to cut out was not inconspicous at all and after he was done, that particular area looked worse than the rest of the wall. After I got home and saw the work he did I was very unhappy. We called and told them we were not satisfied with the work done and they immediately sent someone out to try to make it better at no charge of course. It does look a lot better, however, I'm still not pleased with the result. I think it just looks sloppy. The cost of the work was cheaper than anyone else had quoted us, but I guess you get what you pay for. I do commend them for quickly responding to our complaint and trying to make us happy, unfortunately we're still not.

The carpenter was to install a stair rail and a grab bar in the shower. The man arrived unprepared to do the job. He installed the rail and grab bar but did not have a miter saw or putty to fill the holes in the walls that he drilled to find the studs. The job was not done well and the company had to send another man the next day to try to fix it. It still does not look like a professional job.

Absolutely the worst hired contractor that has ever worked in our home. I wish I could describe but, I don't have the time or space here. Just imagine brackets basically "all over the place" and and about 30 extra screw holes in the Sheetrock over all of the windows in 4 bedrooms that will require filling in and repainting. This was my WORST NIGHTMARE and charged $400!!!! Do not hire these people!!!!

A few years ago, I had used them to install toilet and sink. The work was done adequately, but I had some questions- like why the screws were sticking up so high on the toilet bolts so the the bolt covers would not fit. However, everything worked and I did like their quick response professional attitude, so I used them again for hot water heater job. I needed it to be moved to the garage, and the worker did that and installed the pipes; however, he did not adjust the hot water to the proper temperature (the water would only get lukewarm), so I went to do it myself and discovered that he had installed the hot water heater with the thermostat panel (or whatever it is called), toward the wall and it was completely inaccessible. He had to come back to do it again--without cost of course, but I figured that something was not right for him not to catch that. That is probably also the reason the toilet bolts stick up about two inches too high. I choose not to use them again, since I really don't save that much. Be mindful that this happened about 2 and a half years ago, and I have not used them since. Things may have changed, but I am writing the review now because I was prompted by the site that they needed reviews for this company.

Good. Happy with job and cleaned up afterwards. Could have asked if I wanted trim pieces stained/water proofed before installing it rather than after, since it is a second story deck and there's now no way to reach it without a lot of climbing. But I'd use them again.

We have worked with the AndyonCall Service for a couple of years now. The workmanship depends on the handyman you get. Getting a quote was fast and accurate, no rate changes after the fact unless you changed the scope of work. Quoted jobs out if needed. Arrived on time most of the time and when there was a delay we were called with notification. Flexible schedule, we were not in a hurry on a few of the jobs so he was able to fit others in as needed. Overall we have hired the company several times and it has worked out to our satisfaction. The rates seem very reasonable, we felt we got our moneys worth.

The man was very professional, provided a detailed write-up, and arrived on time for our appointment. Unfortunately, his price was too high, and I ended up doing the work myself.

8/21/2013 No Show! Called the office for Andy OnCall to see what was going on. Shortly after office call Jerry called and said he wouldn't be able to do the job now till 8/26/2013. So my attitude is if you tell someone that your going to do a service that you should follow through with it!! Called their office back and told them that I didn't appreciate this service with being called about his situation and they didn't seem to care! So I would not recommend any one to use this service through Andy OnCall!!

They're good. They did exactly what they said they're gonna do. When they said they're gonna be there, they will be there.

The experience was not too good. There was a lot of miscommunication. It took them three months to finally get out after we called them. What we thought we had agreed on was not completed and we just kind of left it at that. We just let it be but what he did was fine.

Called Andy OnCall in the morning and I told them my problem and what I thought needed to be done. They sent Clay out to give an estimate and he came out the next day fixed all the gavel vents. They were very professional and did an excellent job. He cleaned up after the work and made it better than it was.

Clay came out and did the work quickly and professionally. I will continue to use them as I have other work to be done.

Barry, the owner, just seems so nice and so eager to please. I kind of think something must have been going on with his worker. The worker came over and fixed the faucet and the locks and everything, but we had to call him back because one of the doors wasn't fixed properly. Also, the fan over the hot tub came loose again. I was kind of disappointed because I looked out and the ladder he was using to fix the fan was sitting on the hot tub. I had asked him several times to come to my house to give me an estimate and he would just blow me off. I waited about a month and then got ahold of Barry. He had somebody else come and give the estimate. My personal feeling, I think Barry was kind of shocked at the employee. I don't think it is the company or Barry at all. He found someone right over when he found out about it. I would use them again but not that one worker. I think the price was probably fair.

The experience has been great. Their rates are pretty reasonable and they respond pretty quickly. They are only about half done.

They were just really nice people. The quality is excellent and dressed clean cut.
