He came as promised. He did the work more than to our satisfaction. We were pleased with the work and his follow up after the job was complete. He was responsive and I would recommend him to anyone wanting the work on their home to be done right and by someone who will stand by his work.

The job went very well and we are really pleased with the outcome. Clyde arrived on the day scheduled and started promptly. The carpeting and walkways were covered each day and at the end of the day picked up and the work areas tidy. The demo was completed the first day and a half with a helper and everything hauled away. Clyde completed the rest of the installation showing attention to detail. The tile work was really nice and the plumbing and electrical work done expertly. Clyde was easy to work with and gave good suggestions along the way. The timeline for completion of the work was 2 weeks but was completed in 1 week and 2- 1/2 days. We definitely would recommend Clyde for any future project.

Great work and competitive price. Removed our second-story balcony/deck, then repaired and repurposed the wrought iron railings to create a decorative Juliet balcony in its place. We had no idea what to do with that area- he created all the plans for us and it looks beautiful! It only took 2 days for the whole project to be completed. Will definitely use again, especially for home projects where you need a creative solution or some guidance on what works within your budget.

The job went really well. Clyde showed up on time and ready to work . Clyde is very easy to work with. He made suggestions that turned out great ! Clyde is very trustworthy. Since I hadn't moved into my home yet, I gave Clyde a key to get into the property to start working. He called when arrived and called when he left. He cleaned up behind himself everyday. Clyde did such a wonderful job, I've already spoke with him about future work!

He purchased the additional supplies that we needed and did a fine job with the installation. Clyde was prompt and efficient.

Clyde did a wonderful job. Hes fair, honest and easy to work with. You dont ever get the feeling like you're being ripped off. The basement project went well. I'm very satisfied. quality of work was good. He's respectful of your home and always cleaned up afterward. Will have Clyde do future work for me.

I just felt the price was much to high for the few hours worked.

It weighed about average. I looked on Angie's List and I saw and I liked his work. He has good recommendations so that's why I chose him.

The morning of the 14th Clyde was to start working on my wall at 8:30. He was there on time and ready to work. He worked almost the entire day removing the old wall and replacing it with a more open entry way with only one small break to have lunch. I can definitely say he takes pride in his work and I am so very happy with the way the wall turned out. I would definitely hire Clyde and his partner Nick for any work I will have done in my condo in the future. If you are looking for a great contractor who is fair and reasonably priced, then Clyde is your man.

The job went better than expected!

It was topnotch. It was an extensive estimate and he was great in explaining everything. We thought he could do good work but we went back to somebody who was comparable in pricing that was closer and was in our neighborhood. I got an estimate of around $30,000 range. He communicated very well and we were very pleased with everything that he told us. We were going to go with him but we decided to go with the neighborhood guy. He did a great job with his overall presentation, he explained a lot for us and I would recommend him to anybody for estimates. He came across very clearly and promptly and he got to us as arranged.

Clyde was great. He was professional, patient, helpful and trust worthy. His work was high quality and affordable. He showed up on time all the time. He provided alternate solutions and suggestions to help me make the best decision. I will use him in the future.

He did excellent work and kept the work area clean.We had plumbing ,lights,drywall,one new replacement window and two closets installed.He gaves us suggestions to improve the look of the project which helped with the decision process.Very pleased with the outcome.

Clyde did a highly skilled and beautiful job on all aspects of our remodeling. He kept in contact with us via phone and email and was very punctual. He did a great job of cleaning up each day and we had very little dust in the house. We would highly recommend him.

Clyde was very easy to work with, first off. He worked around our goofy schedule and we had no reservations about leaving the house open to him while we were out doing errands. I acquire lots of 'ideas' from the internet and Clyde was awesome at reigning me in and reminding me that it was still a laundry room. A very nice, kick butt laundry room:) As stated, we supplied most materials - fixtures, tile, some molding - but Clyde provided the building stuff as I call it. Cement board, mortar, wood for the cubbies... We have quite a few projects on our horizon and we will definitely be giving Mr. Kerns a call back. I obtained numerous quotes and Clyde's was very fair and the skill set he walks through the door with is impressive. I seriously think he can fix anything:)

Clyde is very dependable, affordable, and honest. This is the second time I hired him and was very satisfied with the finished product. He arrives on time, cleans up the mess, and even hauled away the old vanity/sink for disposal. Very thankful to have found this amazing home improvement person. Try him, you won't be dissapointed!!!!

I would highly recommend Clyde. He is very professional, punctual, and honest. He gave me great suggestions and found inadequate electrical outlets, which he replaced. He cleaned up the saw dust, drywall dust and even mopped the floor. He and partner worked very hard. The completed laundry room is perfect! I'm so thankful to have found an excellent carpenter. I will definitely use his services in the future!

My wife and I were looking for estimates for a major basement refinish job and Clyde offered a competitive estimate. We were pleased with our conversation with him about our job and he had great ideas and was professional and easy to talk with. While he was a definite contender for the job, we ended up going with someone from our neighborhood who had done earlier work for us. But I would recommend Clyde based on our experience with him.

He arrived on time and worked with a partner. Worked until after 6 p.m. every night. Fireplace demolition was done first. He built a tent around the area so that the dust could be contained. Hauled away all the demolition material. Two truckloads. Put all new insulation in the fireplace and covered it with cement board. Build the step under the fireplace opening. Used two different tiles and trim at the top. Build the bookshelves on the corner and had some good ideas with finishing. Made the shelves exactly the way I wanted them. Used quality materials. Removed the old tile and found a long crack in the floor where the floor had sunk. Also there were some other holes in the floor across the room. He applied some poured cement material and then two other layers of material so that the new tile wouldn't crack again. Installed the new tile and grouted than sealed the floor. It looks great!

Clyde was prompt, courteous and very hardworking. He originally estimated the job at 2 days, but by the end of Saturday, he discovered he would need another day to finish. He came back Sunday to finish the job, working again for 12 hours! He did not charge me for the extra time needed to finish.The finished result was just beautiful! I was very happy with his work and will use him again in the future!

He exceeded our expectations in all categories. He was on our door step every morning at 8:30am, worked an entire day & often times weekends. He cleaned up his work space every evening when he left. He brought his own ideas & touches to the project to really give it a custom look & professional feel. He listened to the types of finishes that we wanted, and then brought us samples to choose from. The finished project is spectacular thanks to him. He managed the materials perfectly, so there was never any lag time waiting around for supplies to arrive, or custom fixtures to come in. It is obvious that Clyde takes pride in his work, and he made sure to communicate with us every step of the way to insure that we were happy with the progress as well. He completed the project faster than expected & was on budget. I have already recommended Clyde to family and friends, and we will definitely be using him for any more projects in the future!

Overall, the bath remodel went very well-we have no complaints and are very pleased with the finished product.

Clyde came to my house August 22, 2011. He measured the windows and told me it would take about two weeks for the order to come in. The windows came and installation started Tuesday 9/5/2011. Job was completed 9/8/2011 this was not a easy job because the aluminum frames were over 30 years old. Clyde did a remarkable job. I will recommend his to family and friends.
