This provider includes in your price the fee they pay for being advertised on Home Advisor, therefore the customer ends up paying a cost to use Home Advisor. They are also somewhat expensive.

I think I was overcharged. The repair took less than 40 minutes (I timed it) but the the hourly rate ( I was told) is $70 per hour. So why was the bill about $170? The only way I could get $170 would be if I got charged for the worker's driving time (at $70/hr !!) from Brownsville,TN to Jackson and then back to Brownsville. Parts cost were negligible. The worker was very good,very competent ,and friendly so I decided against complaining and paid the bill on the spot. Next time I will be sure to ask if I will be billed at the workers hourly rate for the time it takes him to drive to my house and back to his starting point. Use this service, but make sure you know about the cost of the visit and specifically when the clock starts for labor.

I called 2 different electricians to get an estimate for wiring my new hot tub. My home is only 5 years old and has an existing pool, I didn't expect the cost to be more than $1,000. The first electrician wouldn't even give a rough estimate or a range; they wanted $90 just to come take a look and write the estimate, and that money would not be applied to the cost of the work. The 2nd company sent a person to write an estimate, but his quote was $3,000!!! When I told him I didn't think it should cost more than $1000 based on my research on the internet, he said he would do it for $2,000 but would have to "cut corners". No thanks, but at least I didn't have to pay for the guy to give me the quote. I then turned to Home Advisor and advertised my project. It was less than 3 minutes later that Morris from Square Weber called to discuss the project! Now, he did charge $45 to come bid, however the amount was 100% refunded if I gave him the job. There were a couple other things I wanted done related to the project; I wanted a TV mount installed so I could see the TV from the tub, and I wanted an ceiling fan mounted in place of an outdoor light. His total bid for everything; parts and labor (I provided the ceiling fan and TV mount) was $670! Morris showed up as scheduled both for the estimate as well as the day of the tub install, did high quality work, it looks amazing. Most importantly, the hot tub works flawlessly. I couldn't be happier with Morris and Square Weber, and they will be the first company I call for any future electrical work. Highly recommended.
