After decades of enduring our old Formica countertops, we finally decided to upgrade. We checked around, and AGM gave the best price. The owner came to measure, and we visited AGM again to make sure about the details. Five days later our countertops were delivered and installed. New white quartz in the kitchen was perfect; however, the bathroom sinks were the wrong color. No problem; they made it right. Two days later, they returned to remove the sinks (at significant risk to the granite) and installed proper bone-colored sinks. The staff and installers were friendly, courteous, and helpful. We are extremely satisfied and highly recommend AGM.

I have been fighting with Astro for over a year about the granite in my bathrooms. Counter top edges were so chipped on arrival my contractor wouldn't caulk them saying Astro needed to re-do them (he called them personally, to no avail). The finishes are totally irregular - some shiny, some rough - AMAZING! We have called Astro and even shown up personally, but, the owner just promises to come out and do something but, although we wait, no one shows. On the owner's desk, he's got a legal-sized pad filled with "complaints" - needless to say, we're on it! Stay away from Astro - there are so many granite companies around, you can find quality elsewhere.

Initial visit to look at granite went well. The owner was there and was very helpful. After visiting some other granite shops, AGM was mid priced, but their selection was much better than most others. It's nice to be able to see the actual slab you're purchasing before you commit. He gave an install date of the following week which also was fairly fast as others had a 3 week lead time from template to install date. Well...it went down hill from there. To start, the guy was over an hour late to do the template. No one made an effort to call me and let me know, so about 40 mins after the time he was supposed to be at my home, I called the office and the owner said they left the shop late and would be there shortly. Once he arrived he took measurements, asked a few questions and then left. The day before my install I called the owner to verify the time I could expect them for the following day. Once again, an hour late, they rolled in. It was the same guy that did the template and another installer/helper. Once they set the granite on the countertop, once of the granite slabs was cut at a slant and so there was a big gap. That piece had to be sent back. 2nd issue was that he said the granite for the bar was too heavy for the countertop corbels that HE advised I run out to Lowes and purchase. They were $50 each and I purchased 3 of them, but the granite was still too heavy. He then suggested to have my contractor install some iron plates to hold up the granite. This wouldn't have been such an issue if someone would have mentioned to me a head of time that in order for it to be held up I needed this or that, or to have a shorter overhang, etc. No one even mentioned anything about corbels or these plates until they are there to install. They had to come back the following day to install the countertop that was cut slanted anyway, so I called my contractor to come out and install the plates. I called the owner and advised of my concerns over the install problems and I asked for a different crew when they come back. He agreed to send his "experienced crew" the following day. Once we hung up, I received a call about 5 mins later from the installer that I had issues with, asking what my problem was. Since I just explained it to the owner, why was he calling me?? Unprofessional to say the least. The next day they were supposed to be here at 5pm. At 5:45 I called and told him it was too late and just put me on for the following day's schedule. To he (the owner), said no problem. The next day, who pulls up in my driveway, but the SAME installer as before. I can go on and on, but I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. I've had granite installed in the past and the quality of the install job is poor and so has the service after they received their money of course.

Didn't use them and never would.
Description of Work: These people were a joke! I pulled up and they were just eager to sell me something in a bad way. They acted like desperate salesmen. He asked me square feet and just started throwing prices at me. Never showed me anything. Not one piece of granite and then started telling me how much better they were than the completion. They were rude and annoying and I felt like because I was a woman and by myself that I was dumb to this kind of thing. Customer service was worse than awful. Didn't offer to show me anything but were jumping to give me a price and had not seen any product. Would not recommend these people to anyone.

Description of Work: The owners of the business came to my home to measure for granite counter tops, at which time I had not chosen a particular pattern. One of the owners brought in from his car an unmarked sample that I liked, and I said that I wanted that. The other partner wrote up a contract which I signed and gave them a deposit. What I did not know was that he put into the contract the name of a different less expensive granite. I signed the contract and gave them a substantial deposit. Two days later when the installers came I told them that the granite they brought was not what I picked out, and the owners should come and bring the sample they showed me. They brought a sample of Tropic Brown, the name in the contract and not what I had chosen. That, they said, was in another car and not with them. I had signed the contract and given them a sizeable deposit so I let them install the Tropic Brown. Not only did they deceive me, they charged an exorbitant price for an inexpensive granite. They charged me $70.00 per square foot for a pattern that Preston Woodworking in Johnson City sells for $41.00 installed, and Hardrock in Bluff City charges $51.00. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

see above...I would not refer anyone to them.
Description of Work: They did not show up to measure for the template on the correct date, they came and made template on a different day but showed up 5 hours late for installation with the incorrect size granite. They had to come back on a different date and wanted me to pay more because they needed to cut a new slab of granite because they measured incorrectly. They were late every time they came to my home by hours...Salesman was very rude and disrespectful. I would have paid more for a better installation and better service. They also did not tell me that I needed to hire a plummer to reconnect my sink. When the plummer arrived, he found that they broke pieces of pipe under my sink and had to buy new parts that were missing or broken.
