Took a little over 5 weeks to get them out here but that is to be expected this time of year. Eric and crew worked hard in the heat of mid July to get this job done. Professional and easy to have around and conscientious about their work.

This was a difficult job because the room was huge (28x25), with 21-ft. vaulted ceiling, skylights, and many things that had to be masked (covered up): ceiling fans, recessed lights, stained wood trim, in-wall speakers, carpet, etc. So scaffolding and all kinds of "extra stuff" had to be used. I was surprised how quickly just 2 guys knocked out the job. They were detail-oriented, removing the light switches and not losing even a single screw, taking care not to damage the rest of my house bringing ladders in/out, and being respectful and cordial. This was the second time I had this company do painting work for me, and I know of no one else who does this quality job... that's why I'd have them back again and again. Yes, they cost about 50% more than many other painters, but they are worth it. They clean up after themselves really well. At the end (the project took 2 1/2 days), the place was spotless, and each night, the place was left in very tidy order. The only downside other than price is that I had to wait so long before they could get to me. This meant that I had 3 weeks of "downtime" between the time the drywall was done and the painting could start. They were just so backed up! I guess when you do good work you are in great demand. Bill Nashanian knows the meaning of customer service like no one else in the business.

Everything turned out better than expected. Every piece of furniture was wrapped in plastic, the hardwood floors were completely covered and taped and several minor defects in the drywall were repaired. The crew (3 men) were very neat, polite and respectful. They take pride in their work and it shows right down to the smallest detail. We were on a tight work schedule due to having major remodeling done (new hardwood floors installed, new window treatments) and we needed the painting to be done first. Bill worked with us and our busy schedule and everything was completed as planned. We would use Nash Painting again with no question.

Started exterior with power washing as well as brick porch, flagstone walks and flagstone patio. Caulked all parts of home that were required. Carefully covered areas to protect them from paint. Removed all down spouts which were then separately painted and professionally reinstalled. Painted every part of home that was initially painted (gutters, fascias, trim, window trim, window lintels, stuccoed areas. Then pained .very large bedroom including double tray ceiling (over 12 ft high). Repaired all nail pops, caulked crown molding where needed. Changed paint colors from original a well as a door in one of the walls to have it blend into the new color. Moved all furniture (sleigh bed, dressers, paintings, etc. and were very careful. Beautiful job. Then, I added on a task to fix a mess I made of repairing dry wall in my kitchen and repainting with a very dark red paint. It was a very difficult job but it was done very professionally at a modest add on cost. Overall, this experience was impressive and it a reminder that when you deal with professionals you get what you pay for and it was well worth it!!

If you are looking for quality painting in the Nashville area, look no further. I contacted them via their website and received a phone call the next day to schedule an estimate for the same week. Anthony came out to discuss the work I wanted done and take measurements on a Friday. By Saturday, the estimate was completed and in my inbox. He promptly answered all questions I had regarding the estimate and patiently worked with me to make changes. Once the estimate was finalized, a crew was at my door the following week on time and finished the job in one day without skimping on quality. They did a pretty good job of cleaning up after themselves, which can sometimes be a challenge when dealing with contractors (I've been burned by this in the past). Anthony came out the next day to make sure everything was completed to the company's standards and my satisfaction. They may not be the lowest priced in the area, but the quality of work and excellent customer service (especially Anthony) speaks for itself. I would definitely use Nash Painting again for projects in the future. In fact, I've referred them to other family and friends, one of which has hired them to do work in their house, as well.

.From the first visit for the estimate, I was impressed. The estimate was very detailed as to cost for each part of the job, unlike other estimates that only provided an overall price for the whole job. And the explanation by Anthony Hyde regarding the type of prep work they do before painting was very convincing. The 10 year warranty they give indicates they have confidence in their work. The last paint job I had done lasted only 4-5 years. The estimated cost was almost the same as other estimates for the job, except for the deck restaining which was slightly higher. However, the prep and spraying, then rolling in the stain will, I think, make it worth it. Work was started sooner than expected and workers showed up for 4 straight days, working all day each day, until the job was completed. The painters were very friendly and hard working. Anthony came by every day to inspect the work and to answer any questions. When the job was finished, he inspected again and noted a couple of touch up (minor) items that would be taken care of. Dealing with Anthony was great. He even let us try out a couple of deck stain colors before making a final choice. Overall, a good experience and an excellent paint job at a competitive price.

Estimate process was smooth; Mr. Nash came out as promised and all other negotiations were handled quickly by e-mail. Crew came out exactly when promised. Some of the nicest workers we have ever had in our home. All were very courteous and took extra care to keep everything clean. Pressure washed deck and stained deck; they were in no hurry! Best deck sealing I have ever had. Took care of sheetrock problems from water damage from ice dam this winter in garage ceiling and walls; fully painted garage. Stains on kitchen ceiling from second floor leak were covered prior to painting. There were several nail heads that would come through the ceiling in time; each one was repaired prior to painting. After the final coat of paint went on, the painter saw two more nail heads that were not easy to see prior to painting. Both were repaired and the area repainted. I would have never seen these problems, and the painter could have totally ignored them, but he didn't. This reflects the quality of Mr. Nash's workmen and his business.

It was a great experience dealing with Anthony and Nash Painting. Anthony came out to the house to assess the services needed and gather the relevant information, always responding in a very timely manner for questions and service follow up. Expectations were set and met. The workers took a lot of meticulous care with the tasks from pressure washing every inch, protecting the hardware on the fence and siding and making sure there was good coverage of the stain, hand brushing where needed, etc. Price was fair and quality of work was excellent!

Anthony Hyde came on time to do a very comprehensive survey of the job from which he created a detailed item by item bid in spreadsheet format. He said up front that Nash Painting is definitely not the cheapest, but he explained how carefully the job was to be done and priced accordingly. His crew of three or four came well ahead of our deadline so as to prevent a weather delay. They completely pressure washed the woodwork and then spent two or three days prepping by chipping away old paint, caulking and priming all wood, including many window frames. They then applied two coats of paint. The bid included the paint. Their workmen were very neat, courteous, and professional. We have many multi-pane windows, and they caulked and painted them and cleaned the paint off the glass. The entire job took about two weeks. If you are willing to pay for quality work, which I think will last much longer than some work and hence help pay for the extra investment, then Nash Painting is an excellent company to work with.

The first thing they did was to take pictures of the rooms to be painted so they would know where everything was positioned. They were very careful in taping; were careful to cover wood floor surface and carpet. They brought in extra manpower to move the furniture (including a heavy 5 ft. grand piano). They removed the electrical outlet covers, mirrors and picture from the walls. They also removed blinds from three window openings. They were very neat painters and they cleaned up and returned all the furniture, electrical outlet covers, mirrors, window blinds and picture to their original locations. After the work was done, they sent one of their crew members back to make sure I was pleased with the results - which I was.

My experience working with Nash was great! Quality Work - All the painters exhibited professionalism both in their painting ability and their interactions with myself and the home owner. The paint job truly looks excellent. They put a lot of attention into detail. In an industry where corners are cut all the time, I did not experience such with Nash. They took the time to do it right. Excellent Communication - Communication is key on big projects, such as repainting an entire house. These guys provided daily updates on their process and timeline which I really appreciated as it helped me in knowing to plan my week. Flexible and Patient - During the project we changed paint colors and ended up needing to extend the job time frame. The guys at Nash were flexible and understanding through the whole process. I know that changing things in the middle of project can add extra stress to a company, but these guys were willing to work with us through the process with smiles on their faces. Clean - I appreciated that the crew made every effort to keep things clean. They did a thorough job ensuring everything was covered and would clean up after themselves at the end of each day. I have experienced many companies who walk out of the end of the day without cleaning up after themselves. They did well at considering those who were living in the environment they were working in. Overall these guys were just easy to work with. The crew and the management were all friendly and professional. They did what they said they were going to do. Their quality of work was excellent, and they used quality Sherwin Williams products. These guys wil be my 'go to' for at painting needs from now on.

Everyone at Nash Painting is extremely courteous and professional. Bill and Anthony provided a very detailed estimate of the job. They patiently answered our many questions. Anthony was readily available by phone, email, or text. As the work got started, we realized our house needed more work than originally thought. Nash Painting was flexible with us and completed our extra requests. Afterward, Anthony did a walk-through of the house. He had the painters return to touch up the work in a timely manner. Nash Painting stands behind its work and deserves its excellent reputation. We are so pleased with the results! We would definitely choose to use them again.

The previous owners of our home hired Nash to paint the exterior while it was on the market. Seeing the quality of work there I decided to have them quote painting the interior. While they may be a little higher priced than other painters I decided to go with them based on their reviews here and also my interactions with Bill, the owner. A few months later, I hired them again to paint our kitchen cabinets. And when the time comes to do our ceilings and trim, I'll be giving them a call again. I have nothing but positive things to say about the whole team at Nash. Bill s friendly and prompt with replies. He has built a team of professionals that are courteous, great at communicating (before, during and after the project), who do impeccable work and definitely go above and beyond. I'm definitely a tough customer but Nash left me pleasantly surprised.

Overall this project was a success, and while there were a few issues (specifically with communication), the customer service was excellent in addressing the few mistakes & oversights. I would consider using them again in the future - despite the legitimate frustration that I experienced due to occasional lack of communication and some minor quality control issues, their acknowledgment of the mistakes was genuine and customer service responsiveness was fantastic. The initial communication was great, and an estimate was provided very quickly. Once I issued notice to proceed, I was given an approximate timeframe that my project would begin. However, this timeframe passed, no work had begun, and no communication had occurred. I contacted Nash Painting, and the owner acknowledged that their company was transitioning due to growth, and my project had simply 'fallen through the cracks'. He was apologetic, genuine, and assured me that they would do better with the communication. He mentioned they had grown much recently, and he was in the process of hiring an assistant to help manage scheduling and client interaction. To his credit, the communication going forward was much better. The sealing, staining, and painting of the screened-on porch was top-notch. The price is slightly more than the industry average, but this is because the attention to detail and quality is excellent. Very well done. The improvements to an existing screened-in door proved to be challenging; however this was due to the door conditions and not Nash Painting. In fact, Nash Painting did an excellent job at troubleshooting and providing solutions to improve the issues with our screened-in door. The replacement of the exterior window caulking was done with high quality. However, the attention to detail was lacking on this project. They had to return (twice!) because they either had not worked on every window (as our contract stipulated), and/or the old caulk was still lying on the ground below the window...instead of being cleaned up. It was visibly obvious that the old caulk remained on the ground, causing the frustration regarding the lack of attention to detail. Near the end of the project, there was some mis-communication regarding the status of the project. Nash Painting e-mailed me to confirm that I was happy with everything...unfortunately, the project was not completed...even though the tone of his e-mail implied that the project was indeed complete. The door had not been completed and much of the old window caulk was lying on the ground. This was frustrating for the owner to think the project was completed, when it clearly was not. Upon my reply to his e-mail with my concerns that he , he was apologetic and genuine for the mis-communication among his team. In the end, they made everything right. Looking back on this project and experience, I believe the frustration with communication was due to his company's growth on the front end, and needing to hire an assistant for client management & scheduling. I believe the frustration with communication on the back end was an honest mistake of not coordinating with his team. The lack of attention to detail on the window caulking task was frustrating, but the attention to detail on the porch floor and exterior painting was excellent. It is important to mention that when I experienced these legitimate frustrations (and/or oversights) and communicated them to Nash Painting, their customer service and responsiveness was excellent. I would consider using them again in the future.
Description of Work: Pressure Wash & Seal/Stain the floor of the screened-in porch. Pressure Wash & Paint the exterior of the screened-in porch. Improve the screened-in door that previously did not completely close, and slammed shut too fast. Removed all exterior window caulking (previously done with poor workmanship and quality), and replaced with new exterior window caulking that was applied with better workmanship.

This was a pleasant experience, due to the professionalism of everyone involved. Mine was a very difficult job, involving scaffolding to reach a ceiling that was 26-feet at it's highest point, and had two 4-foot x 4-foot skylights. Every effort was made to control and seal off the area so the dust from the mudding and sanding would not go everywhere. Everyone - from Bill (owner) to the crew of 3 painters - were all focused on quality, listening to the customer, and pleasing the customer. All were knowledgeable (you can tell they had been doing this a while and knew their craft!), respectful, and neat. Internal communication among all the people involved on my job was great... no dropped balls. Best of all, I did not feel pressured in any way... either for money when the job was over or pressure to "accept" any part of the job I didn't like. They were always willing to work with me. They were tolerant of the skylight repair folks who came out during the painting. They changed the bulbs in the ceiling lights for me while up on the scaffolding. They went above and beyond to make sure I was pleased. I would recommend them to anyone who must have a perfect, high-quality job in a high-end house, as I know of no other painters in Nashville capable of delivering such. Yes, they were high priced, but worth it! Yes, they were booked solid and it took them 3 months before they could fit me into their schedule, but it was worth it. Anyone who knows me, knows I am a perfectionist who can find fault with the littlest thing, so I hope I have adequately conveyed how impressed I was.
Description of Work: Painted interior great room, closet, and attic access panel. First, lots of mudding (patching) and sanding, applied 2 coats of paint.

Quoting process was thorough. Work was delayed due to extreme cold this winter and the contractors concern that the paint would not adhere properly. When work was started it was completed without interruption. Issues that popped up during the process were explained in detail and options offered. In some cases the work was at additional cost because they were outside the scope of the original quote and mutually agreed to. All workers on the crew were very courteous, answered our questions and very respectful of our home. Of the many quotes we received for this job, this quote was the most expensive. In some cases buy a little and in others by quite a bit. However, the level of detail in the work to be done and the assurance that it would be done to our satisfaction and the professional as well as personable presentation of the contractor swayed to use NASH Painting. We would use them again and recommend their services.
Description of Work: Prepared (scrapped, primer painted, caulked, replaced rotted wood) exterior wood surfaces of our home. Finished painted all surfaces and shutters.

They responded very quickly. Now we are doing the countertops and we will do some tiling before we end up using them so there is still a potential to use them. They were very responsive and descriptive about their methods and how they differ from other companies.
Description of Work: Nash Painting came out to the house and gave us a price for interior painting.

We purchased a home in Nashville, located on the side of a very steep hill. The rough-sawn cedar-lapped siding had been stained when the house was built in 2000 and was in dire need of help. Being new to the area, we contacted several painters through our local paint shop, Sherwin Williams. Three of them came out to the house, and once they saw the extreme difficulty of the project, (five stories high on one side) every one of them drove off and never contacted us again. Our house was literally 'the impossible paint job'. Through Angie's List, we found Nash Painting. Bill Nishanian came out to the house and gave it a thorough inspection. We talked about the difficulty of the job (huge glass panels, skylights, rough terrain, massive height) and how it would require a great deal of scaffolding to safely access the structure. We also discussed the best way to protect and preserve the siding. We opted to match the stain color, but do it with the finest-quality paints available (thus enabling a longer life). Bill provided a quote for premium primer, plus two coats of Sherwin Williams Emerald satin exterior paint. Yes, the quote was very high, but we knew that the project was extremely complex, and we wanted to have the longest-lasting and best quality paint job we could get. Bill said that he would provide a 'no drop out of place' guarantee ... as well as a ten year warranty. His policy and warranties were spelled out very clearly in his quote. Bill helped lower quote costs by providing and building his own scaffolding. The project started during late fall of 2013, when they prepped and painted the most difficult portions of the house. On the steep side of the house, his team was required to build scaffolding eleven sections high to access the top of a chimney! His painting team was very professional and patiently prepared the siding for paint, often carefully working around huge twelve-foot high glass windows. They needed no supervision on our part and did an outstanding job. The house was half-finished when they pulled off the project for the winter. In April 2014, the team returned to complete the project ... and did so with their usual competence and professionalism. During the Spring work, we asked Bill to grind, prime and paint the huge steel support beams and posts underneath our deck. He used the best metal-etching primers and paints to do the job. At the completion of the project, Bill returned to discuss the project and make sure that we were satisfied with the results. He reminded us of his 10 year warranty and told us to call him if we spotted any developing problems. His final bill was exactly the same as his original quote (even though the project was far more complex and challenging than anyone anticipated). Was it expensive? Yes. $30,000 is very expensive for a house paint job. But we can tell you with certainty that no one else in Nashville could have done (or would be willing to do) the work with the level of care and professionalism as Nash Painting. We demanded the best ... the best primers, paints, as well as the highest-quality work ... and that is exactly what we got. We would hire them again in an instant.
Description of Work: Prepped, primed, and painted the exterior (including window trim, deck siding, steel supports and girder beams, all doors + garage doors) of our very complex and challenging house.
