Chateau de Renaissance

We ordered custom steel doors with interior and exterior moulding on August 23, 2010 and was told it would be installed no later than October 30, 2010. Finally after several stories and excuses they started installation on December 2, 2010 (OVER 2 MONTHS OF DELAY). When the installers arrived (which were the owners son who appeared to be in his teens and his friend) we questioned where were the mouldings. They called the owner and he said that trim and moulding were not included and when we reminded him that they were he said he would need to order them but that they may take up to 10 days. We patiently waited 7 weeks before the "custom" trim came in. They removed and discarded all but one piece of our existing exterior trim (which had places of rot) and said they were going to attach the new trim to it. When we requested that the rotten piece be replaced like all of the other trim, they refused. The so called "5 different profile custom trim" that we waited 7 weeks for turned out to be small pieces of pvc trim which can be purchased at any Home Improvement store. The trim installer said he would need to put several pieces together to match the 10" trim they tore off and discarded. At that point we told them not to proceed and we asked to arrange a meeting on-site with the owner to discuss the situation. He refused by e-mail and told us to fix it ourselves. In addition, the doors are not installed properly and they bang together every time they are opened and closed. There is a missing latch on the glass portion and the lock on the top does not function. The doors are scratched to the metal from installation and shipping. This is the poorest quality install I have ever seen. I feel that no one would be happy with this on they're dog house much less after spending over $12,000.00. After the owner told me to contact an attorney it became evident I had be "had". I will handle this through the courts now but I only hope no one uses Chateaux de Renaissance and has to endure the abuse that we have.
