We live in Wisconsin but my recently-widowed mother-in-law lives in Mt. Juliet. When my wife was there for her father's funeral, she bought my mother-in-law a new laptop and a wireless router / modem from Best Buy along with a service contract to go with it, but had to leave before the wireless router could be set up. Attempting to get Best Buy to the home to install it was frustrating (to put it mildly) and we cancelled the service contract. We called PC Dude in Mt. Juliet and spoke with a young woman there. She was pleasant and knew where my mother-in-law's house was. Explaining the details of what we needed done was a little bit of a challenge, but we got it figured out and a reasonable price was quoted, including a charge for travel. Then the young woman explained that they only do in-home work if they have time in their schedule at the shop. The in-shop work gets top priority, and if there is time they will do a house call. So scheduling house calls is a little iffy. Plus they only had one guy who could do house calls, and he had done some overtime the week before and was going to be only working some half days to make up for it. She thought he might be able to come out in a day or so, sometime during the morning, but if they had a lot of additional jobs come in to the shop before then, they wouldn't be able to do send him at all. We did not feel that was a workable situation for us and cancelled the appointment. I do not know how good or bad their actual work is, but it seemed clear that they really were not interested in house calls and would not commit to actually showing up.
Description of Work: We spoke with them on the phone about installing a modem/wireless router in my mother-in-laws house. We did not feel they would be reliably show up to do the work and chose not to use them.
