I can't say enough for Milton Thompson and his employees. They did an absolutely fabulous job with our fences. Milton, Oscar, William and the others, went out of their way, and above and beyond the call of duty, to make everything perfect. There was one little matter that had to be resolved, and the way in which it was handled shows what kind of man Mr. Thompson, and American Fence, is. I have always believed that a problem is only an opportunity to show what a man is made of. Without a problem how is one to shine? Well, American Fence did indeed shine. I would not hesitate to use their services again and only wish that my son had not already gotten his fence installed by another company. He is terribly disappointed with them, showing all companies are not created equal. I am sure when he sees my new fence he will wish he could have used American Fence and Gate. So once again, Thank you Milton, Oscar, and the crew, for a job well done and a customer very pleased.

From Day One the line of communication with American Fence remained opened and was conscientiously maintained from proposal through completion of the job.
I found Milton Thompson to be cordial, forthright, and knowledgeable. Of equal importance: He did what he said he would do in the time frame and manner in which he said he would do it. That kind of dependability and solid work ethic holds a lot of weight with me.
The hardworking and well-mannered crew did not simply go about each task in a perfunctory manner but instead seemed to genuinely care about the quality of their work. Whether during tear down or construction, the workers collectively demonstrated an exemplary attitude.
I will not hesitate to use American Fence again.

Great crews of people.  Timing was hard to pin down but generally they were really good and I'd recommend them.

They were local and we liked that.  There was nothing that we didn't like.  They were a lot better than other people we had worked with.  They were just okay.

American Fence is quite pleasant to work with for a quote but has a real problem with getting back when promised. Communication is the key problem. 
I am happy with the quality of materials and workmanship. The installation of my fence surrounding the yard looks great and has stood up well to the first winter. However the installer did not clean up after the job leaving piles of dirt and rock by every fence post which took me two weekends to clean up and dispose of. We had one vinyl piece put up to hide the trash bin storage area. It was not installed correctly and is being replaced under warranty, no complaints on the warranty service. But again the communication issue. We worked through the discussion about the warranty work and were given a commitment of two weeks to get materials. After four weeks had passed we called and re-confirmed this was on the schedule. Two more weeks passed and installers show up with no advance notice, communication, or appointment.

The warranty job is now finished (started 3/26/2013, finished 5/26/2013). Warranty work was high quality and too my surprise Milton decline payment due to my dissatisfaction with communication. Net, net...warranty work completed behind promised schedule BUT with high quality work and NO CHARGE.

In summary when the work is complete it is a good job with high quality materials. Just be prepared that communication and keeping to the promised schedule is a problem.
