CROSS'S TREE SERVICE

The job is now done; however, I would not use this company again. When I contacted with Mr. Cross for the job his quote was the highest of the three obtained. I chose him as he seemed like he truly wanted the job and said he would do a good job. I should have known we were in for trouble when he didn't begin the job in the timely manner he promised. When he finally did come, he and his helper worked for 3 hours and called it a day. This happened on three separate days. When he came to finish the job, I had to be on site to make sure they completed the agreed upon work and even with that, he did not do everything I asked. Additionally, he did not clean up to my satisfaction, I ended up doing most of it, and he left ruts in my yard where he drove his truck. All in all, not a good experience and I would not recommend using this tree service. 

We called this guy to get an estimate for tree trimming. He didn't show up on time, but came later, while we were out. Without authorization, he borrowed a ladder from a neighbor(!)and climbed on the roof and cut down 2 limbs, which he left on the ground. He left a note, and requested we send him payment. We called him and asked what he thought he was doing with going ahead without authorization and with no agreement on price. Possibly because he only got on the roof, he did only about 1/3 of the trimming we wanted, and left a mess. We weren't here, but it would appear he had no equipment, and had no means to trim where needed. We told him we would have to call in another service to do the work, and if what he did reduced our costs, we would pay him that much. It didn't save anything, but Mr. Cross admitted he had no business doing what he did.
