It went great. I could not have asked for more. Pam and David were great to work with. They made great suggestions as to materials; suggested good suppliers; coordinated the entire job which involved at least 4 specialties; All this with a minimum involvement in my time. All I did was pick out the materials I wanted based on selections that provided that were based on my specifications. When issues came up, then handled it. In short, I got just the job I wanted, no hassle, great quality, at a reasonable price. They gave upfront firm quotes on everything; performed the job on time. Quality was great. Easy to work with. Pam went above and beyond by searching out just the right materials to use for back splash that fit everything together. When I called, they either answered the phone or called right back. What is not to like?

The cabinets the owner did looked good. Most of the work was done by an unsupervised assistant who WORE SUN GLASSES (I am assuming the fumes bothered his eyes). Thus, the work was splotchy on many of the cabinets. Most of our cabinets looked good to start with (except a few around the sink). Owner insisted we MUST DO THEM ALL to have them all look the same. Thus, a lot of our previously flawless cabinets were splotchy and spotty after Mr. Sunglasses worked on them. He also got stain on our lovely Silestone countertops along the edges in some places. Also, the guy got residue on my kitchen floor which was hard to clean up. No tarp down or anything.Oh, woe are we!!

Response from Kitchen Tune-Up
We have been proudly serving the area for 20 years with the goal to offer alternative solutions to expensive kitchen cabinet replacement. While our solutions don't involve the mess and expense of tearing out and putting in new cabinets, we do address the problems and do our best to make those as near new as possible depending on the service purchased. In this case the customer wanted to keep her existing cabinets, we preformed the finish restoration process on the wood cabinets. Over years of use wood cabinets are exposed to grease, steam, water, grime and lots of wear and tear from daily use. At the time of the sale the customer had expressed that they only wanted the worst places done. We explained that we did not do partial jobs due to the fact that the areas repaired would be inconsistent with the areas that were not done. The owner and employee preformed the standard procedure for the tune-up and finish repair. The customer has commented that they are pleased with the work the owner had done, the main part of the job being the finish repair. To address the comments about the employee, the owner daily arrived with the employee, was with him mid day and at the end of the day (min). The owner also was on the job site a big portion of the 2nd day and alone the day he returned the following week to address the concerns. We allowed the sunglasses as they served the purpose as eye protection and also request by the employee for a medical condition in which we had also verified. When the customer expressed her opinion to us we had explained the situation. The concerns were also addressed and documented with the employee. According to our records this job was in Sept of 2012, and the owner returned to the customers house the following week to address the same concerns that have been stated. While there he also performed some extra services at the customers request. It is always our goal and intentions to finish every job and have the customer satisfied. We are disappointed that 13 months later, after the customer told us there concerns, the owner personally returned to the job and the customer had said they were satisfied, that they are now expressing frustration.

This was sort of like a remodel but actually more like a refresher. They spiffed up my cabinets and changed some hardware. Added a new countertop and took out a backsplash and installed tile. I was very happy with the final results. I thought the price was fair as well. I would recommend them to others.

Description of Work: Used Kitchen tune up to update our kitchen and master bath. Could not have been more pleased. The products and workmanship surpassed my expectations. The company made sure I was totally pleased--not always easy to accomplish--but will give an A+ across the board. The company was more than cooperative in making adjustments--everything was about customer satisfaction. My prior cabinets were custom made with very have doors. The hinges were inadequate to support the doors. Kitchen Tune up recommended a larger hinge to make sure I didn't have a repeat of the problem. Bottom line, did their work in our house almost five years ago. The installations look as if it was done yesterday. One can expect an honest, hassle free professional result with this company--a rare experience in this day and time!

He came and viewed the kitchen and took measurements first. We looked at possible choices and decided on what I wanted. He took the doors off and ordered the materials. He gave me an estimated date for the work to start on, so I had about 3-4 weeks to prep and paint the cabinets. We worked out the days they would start and a tentative schedule of what would be accomplished daily. My only negative concern is that I would have like them to work longer hours so it would be done in fewer days. But they must have a reason for how they set their schedule. In the end there was only one small detail that wasn't completely right, but I figured it was too late to fix it. So I just emailed them to comment that it should have been thought through better. They were so nice and are going to come out and fix it. And I have to add that the young man that was working for them was also very nice and professional.
Description of Work: I cleaned, prepped, and painted the existing cabinets. They replaced the doors, fronts of drawers, put in a new countertop, tiled the backsplash, and set in the sink and the cook-top. They were accommodating to my work environment in the home and did a great job. The final product turned out beautiful. I will try to post a photo, but keep in mind that another contractor is doing the window frame - they won't get a good review!

We were very pleased with how this kitchen turned out. The colors and styles chosen complemented each other very well. The customer was plesant to work with and we too feel this came together well. This was a "redooring" project. The customer was able to control part of the cost by preparing the base of the cabinets. Another service we also offer is Refacing. In this application we apply high grade veener to the cabinets that match the color of the custom door and drawer fronts that are choosen. When complete it looks as if the cabinets have been replaced. Either of these choices are less mess and expense to ripping out and replacing cabinets. It is our goal and selling point that we are in our customers kitchen as little as possible. Each kitchen is unique and the job is often plan as you go to acheive the best result. Much of the work we are able to: order, receive the shipment, inspect, prepare, and assemble in the shop prior to arriving on the job site. This greatly helps with trash and packing materials. Other components require drying and curring time, therefore leaving laps in time. Our ultimate goal is to produce an end result the customer is pleased with, in a resonable time frame. We were able to return to the job and correct the oversite. We are thankful when customers let us know, rather than letting a small problem overshadow enjoying their kitchen. We appreciate this customer taking the time to comment and offer us a good grade!
