+ -1 moreEd was an outstanding real estate agent. I bought a home after having moved here from Austin, TX a couple of years ago. I received excellent service from the company as a whole. This is not a giant corporate agency. Ed was out of town when I was ready to start my initial search, but his associate Lee McWaters, was equally as helpful. While not involved in my initial viewings, Ed proved invaluable in handling all the inspections and negotiations for the final sale. Ed came to me highly recommended, so I knew I could trust him with all the details. He has been an agent here in Memphis for over 30 years. He had excellent recommendations for all the various companies that are necessary for inspections. Everyone he suggested did an excellent job. The home inspector recommended a separate service call for the HVAC units, by a professional. The company Ed recommended found that one of the furnaces was cracked and inoperable, and that one of the coils was leaking. Ed was very sure that I got a reasonable reduction in the final price ,to accomodate the work that I now have to do, to bring the system into working order.
Description of Work: Ed Sharp acted as my Real Estate agent to buy a home here in Memphis. His associate, Lee McWaters, also helped me when Ed was out of town for my initial viewings. Ed arranged all the viewings based on things I found on the web that I was interested in. He took that information and provided me with additional properties that might also appeal to me. He provided me with more detailed information about the properites before I viewed them. Once I found a home I was interested in, he and his associate advised me on what to consider when making the initial offer. Ed handled all the negotiations with the seller's agent. He arranged all the inspections and services that went into the final sell. He suggested top-notch people for all that entails. He was present at the inspections and kept me up to date on how things were progressing. He arranged all the details for closing and did a final walk through of the house with me. He followed up to make sure that everything is going well, even after the sale was final. He is extremely personable. Very supportive and not pushy in any way.
