Description of Work: They installed a new door with no problem. Nice door, easy to open. The door they were to fix, the person who came was not comfortable trying to fix it because the glass might fall. He was going to talk to his boss and another co-worker and I've heard nothing back from them.

They came out to measure quickly and set a tentative date for installation. Installers were very professional and friendly and did a great job in every respect. I totally love my new door and I'm so happy with the result. My house looks awesome - and very secure

Description of Work: These people are completely unorganized!!!! The receptionist has got her head in the clouds! She was nice at first...They never showed up to quote my door on the day that they said they would. No call no show. Finally got in touch with Larry and he apologized and came later the next day. He did what he needed to do to get me a quote. The next day I called to follow up on the quote. I was told by the receptionist that she would email it by the next day...I called her the next day was told that she sent it to me. I checked my email/spam/trash and i never received it. I called her back and explained that I never received it and I gave her another email address to use. I also asked her if they did wood doors. She told me yes,but they go through someone else for wood doors. I asked her to please send me a additional quote for wood doors. She said it would be her pleasure but it wouldn't be till the next morning. The next morning after checking both email accounts I called to follow up. The phone was answered by a man. I asked if the female that answers the phone was working because she told me she was going to get me a quote that morning for wood doors. He said that they don't do wood doors and she must be mistaken. I asked if he could email me my original steel door quote and he said to call back tomorrow. The next day was a Saturday so I waited till Tuesday to follow up... Tuesday I called and was put on hold for 10 mins so I called back. When the receptionist answered I introduced myself and told her i was still waiting on my quote. She told me that she already sent them. I asked her to send just the steel door quote because I was told American Door does not do wood.. Her response was "are you really even going to use us"? My response was one of complete frustration with this company. I said," yes! I planned on it, but you guys have proven to be a complete pain in the a ! Why would I want to use you" ? her response to me to me was to scream for me to go make up with my boyfriend and maybe this wouldn't have happened! She also implied I cursed at her when I used the word a . I was referring to my experience with them. I can't believe that this is how they treat their customers!! They did nothing to make me happy. I was VERY patient with them. I would not recommend to any one.

+ -1 moreThey were good. The price was good and my door does do well. I still do not have my door key to the locks in my house. The door they put on came with a factory key and lock and they were going to key it to my door and lock so I wouldn't have a separate key. I have called numerous times, but I have yet to do that. It isn't a big deal, but it is my biggest complaint. The quality and their timeliness were great when they brought and installed the door. They have made a couple appoints to do the work, but didn't come. They have been very nice. I would use them again to install another security door.

+ 0 moreThey came in and the work was complete. I was very happy with them. The quote was little high for the work on the fence. The work was good. They replaced and repaired some of the planks on the fence and application of weatherproofing. The repair was done well. My only concern was the weatherproofing was done on only one side of the fence. The work done was good, it really was. Everyone was very nice. The American security door was installed well and efficiently. Everything seems to be holding up just fine. Based on the quality of doors that I got and I know it is my choice and what I chose, I would grade them an and ldquo;Aand rdquo; for price. If I needed service, like that, I would use them in the future and I would recommend them. I definitely have compliments for American Door this year.
Description of Work: I used the services of American Door to replace and repair some of the planks and application of weatherproofing on the fence. They also installed an American security door. The last time I used their services was about a week or couple of weeks ago. I paid $700 and not more than that for the work on the fence and it was $300 for the security door.

+ 0 morePeople from American Door Company came out and did measurements to make sure that the door we got would actually fit the door frame. We had given them the measurements; however they wanted to double check it themselves. It was a storm door with decorative corners and a single sheet of safety glass. The door they got for installation was cut perfectly to fit our door frame. They did a beautiful job. We have never had any problems with it. I will use them in the future. I’m actually planning to have another storm door put in the back as well.
Description of Work: I used American Door Company about three years ago to get a storm door installed. The storm door itself was a little over $200. They charged me a total of about $400 which also included the installation charges.

+ 0 moreWe needed to replace a cracked wooden exterior door for our home with a basic security door. We needed to be sure the new door would not crack or warp because we have a glass storm door in place which is notorious for trapping heat and causing issues with some door materials. I found American Door on Angie's List and called to discuss our needs. The owner scheduled a time to come out to measure the door and provide a free estimate. He was in our neighborhood early before I got home from work, so he went ahead and measured and estimated and called me with the results. We ordered a steel security door. It came in as expected, about two weeks after the order. The installer called to schedule an appointment around our work schedules. He showed up on time and completed the work in about two hours. The installer was meticulous in his work. He had to remove the door frame and replace it then install the new door. In addition, he replaced the door knob, remounted our security sensor, and rehung the storm door. The storm door now opens and closes so smoothly without any noise and was an unexpected benefit of this work. I would absolutely use them again for any door needs.

I wanted a better lock that the standard one. They wanted money for the better lock and they didn’t try to push it on me. They were informative.

+ -1 moreIt was a custom order and the job was done relatively fast. The usual color is black. When you want a different color, then it has to come from the factory because they don’t use spray paint and they use powder coating. It was a cast iron door. We ordered the door and it came in about a week and a half later. They came out and installed the door on that Saturday. We had paid for it upfront and so there was no hassle about it costing us extra. They came in, installed it, adjusted the closer and then gave us the keys. I would use their services in the future too.

+ -1 moreIt was very smooth and professional. I paid 1/2 when the order was placed and the remaining amount when the work was completed to my satisfaction. It has cut the heat and cooling loss through that area enormously. Plus it "frames" my front door in a very tasteful way. It looks very pretty from the street and gives you that extra bit of security when someone comes to the door. They were polite and prompt in their work. In fact I am talking with them now about doing some more iron work for me.
Description of Work: They sold and installed a beautiful white powder coated metal and glass storm door. I picked out the model I wanted from their selection at their store and they did everything else. They came out and measured the front door area, ordered the door to meet specs and my selection, then, they installed it. The pricing (which included delivery and installation) beat many other door companies.
