Estimate of $1750 came by phone from his wife about 10 days later. I asked exactly what this dollar amount was for as I thought this was quite high for just a few siding boards and deck boards (even with painting, caulking, etc. which should be part of the finishing process anyway.) She checked on it and I got an answer a few days later. It was only for the siding/deck boards. When thinking of removing the deck boards to lower price a little, I was told that the price for the deck boards was negligible and wouldn't change the price much. The earliest appointment I could get was late August into September - and that still was no guarantee. As of June 27, 2014, I decided to cancel this work request and go another route.

The provider returned my initial call on the following day. I was told that he would come by the next week to look at the repairs I needed taken care of. I received a follow up call the following week as promised, and he came by to look at the repair work. I was informed that the repairs would run only 75.00, and he would be back on Thursday, March 6 to complete the work. I informed him that I might not be home when he arrived, and he said not to worry, he would complete the work and leave an invoice in a convenient location on my front porch. When I returned home, the work had been completed and the invoice was placed in the pre-arranged location. I was very pleased with the work, and immediately put a check in the mail to cover the cost. This was a very small job that I was unable to take care of myself, and I had difficulty locating someone who would even return my calls. I would highly recommend Cutting Edge Renovations for any project, small or large.
