"(TL/DR: We are happy with the work Cory did, and I would recommend him for your landscaping needs.) The theme here is "all's well that ends well." Cory is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, and he's very agreeable to work with. He and his crew work remarkably quickly, too, and the quality of work is very good. The job was not without its hiccups, though. Cory is not a proactive communicator, and that caused us some grief along the way. Without boring you with every detail, Cory and his crew got to work on Day 1, and by the end of Day 2, they had built an entire retaining wall on a line different from the one we'd talked about. He told me he had lain the foundation on Day 1 and, when he didn't hear from me, assumed it was correct and moved on to building the wall on Day 2. Problem is, he didn't inform me that I needed to review his Day 1 work (I never imagined that he would do the work differently than what we talked about when he met me for the initial estimate), or that he would interpret no word from me as acceptance of his work. The result was that he had to deconstruct the wall and then rebuild it along the correct line, which I'm sure was a lot of work, but he did it and did so cheerfully. This kerfuffle was unfortunately repeated, in essence, with the landscape stairs--building, followed by no word from him, followed by silence from me, followed by a discrepancy between what he built and what I wanted. This was especially frustrating, because, after the wall incident, he said he would take photos of the unfinished stairs and send them to me for approval before completing them. But, all's well that ends well: he and I met to discuss the issue, and then he and his crew redid the stairs to my satisfaction. To sum up, my experience with Cory is that he will make judgment calls, build, and hope it works out right rather than consulting you to see what you want and doing it that way (or telling you it can't be done that way for a particular reason). If you have a drawn plan that Cory can refer to, you may not have these issues, and perhaps I should have insisted on drawing him a plan when he didn't insist on having one before beginning work. Or, if you don't work during the day, you could oversee the work and give feedback as it's happening to prevent any issues from arising. But don't expect Cory to be proactive about communication. So, after all that, do I regret getting Cory to do the work? Absolutely not. He got it done quickly, did it well, did it for an excellent price, and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy. And we are. We are very excited about the way things turned out, and we can't wait to use the back yard space that Cory helped us create. I would absolutely recommend him."

"He started on March 3rd and finished on March 18th. He did the garage first, but he had problems, because he had no one to help him. Then he started my driveway and again had problems, because he had no one to help him. He quoted me $1200 for the garage. On March 11th, I paid him for the garage. He said he needed money to get the Sure Broom to do the driveway. On March 11th, I paid him $2554. There were days he didn’t show up, and there were days he didn’t arrive until 3:30 and stay well past dark. On Friday, the 14th of March, I texted him stating bad storms were coming and I needed to park my car in the garage and have my cabinet moved back into the garage so that it wouldn’t be in the weather. Once I realized he wasn’t going to come on the 11th, I texted him and asked him to come and get his equipment, because I was done. I said I’m ready to just cut my losses. He texted back and said he would come and put my cabinet back in the garage. He said I didn’t have to pay him another dime to please let him finish. I told him okay. He didn’t come and put my cabinet back in the garage. My cabinet was set outside in the rain during terrible storms all day Saturday into Sunday morning. He came Monday the 17th and finished Tuesday the 18th. I told him I want to be fair about paying him. I paid him $1350. I still had to park in the yard. It wasn’t until the 19th that I could go to my driveway and park my car in the garage. I noticed he got Sure Broom on the side of my house on the stone work. What makes my house nice and different is the stonework around my house. It looks like the Sure Broom was just splashed up the side of my house. He also got Sure Broom on my wooden fence. It was splashed, because it’s not at the base of my fence. My deck and front porch are covered in white footprints from the concrete. I have no idea how to get it off. My garage door has a whitish grayish film on it. It’s on the top half of my garage door. I have no idea how he got that stuff on my garage door."

Installing an outdoor water fountain costs $2,700 on average, not including the cost of the unit. Prices range from $150 to $10,650, depending on your location, the type of fountain, size, and accessibility to the site. Self-contained fountains and water features recirculate the water within the unit. Depending on size and features like multi-tiered cascading bowls, they typically cost from $50 to $5,000. More elaborate fountains with waterfalls and ponds can cost from $450 to $10,000 or more.
Every one to three months, you should perform regular fountain maintenance, including draining, cleaning, and rinsing the components of your fountain basin and the pump and tubing to prevent algae and other buildup. Fountain maintenance also includes keeping the appropriate water level and removing debris like leaves, insects, and twigs from the water to avoid clogging the pump. You can also hire a professional landscaper to clean your fountain for around $50 to $150 per month on average.
Most water features do not use a lot of electricity, averaging between 100 and 250 watts per day. The size of the motor can impact electricity usage. To reduce electricity usage, consider using a timer to turn the fountain off at night and when you’re away from your home. Solar power is another way to defray electricity costs after you recoup the cost of installing the solar components.
You can choose several types of fountains to add to your backyard, ranging in size, number of basins, and special water features.
Check out the price ranges of common fountain types:
Birdbath fountains: $40 to $1,100
Cascading fountains: $40 to $2,000
Tiered fountains: $100 to $6,000
Kugel fountains: $150 to $5,000
Glass wall fountains: $100 to $3,000
Consider the pros and cons of installing a water fountain in your backyard:
Pros
Fountains can add beauty to your backyard.
Creates a relaxing space to enjoy in your yard.
Water features can add more value to your home.
Cons
Regular maintenance is necessary.
Upfront and maintenance costs can escalate quickly.
Space may not permit you to install the fountain you want.
