Rodney Cook Painting

Rodney was very efficient while painting my very tall entryway. When I initially contacted him he immediately came out to give me an estimate and only days later he was able to do the job. Rodney was professional, and was tidy through the whole process. He went above and beyond my expectations by fixing nail pops and touching up other trim in the hallway that was not included in the job. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone I know for their painting needs.

He pressured washed starting from the top of our house completely washing away debris and mildew. He repaired columns and door frame and then repainted. It was all very nicely done.

It went good at 1st until he txt me and said he was done painting, and starting on trim. Clearly he only applied 1 coat and the white was bleeding thru. plus there were numerous places on the walls that were not fixed. Jus painted over. He only bought 2 gallons of wall paint for the whole job. Kitchen, living room, hallway, and dining area. I had to go thru and circle everything that he missed and the stuff I didn't circle, didn't get fixed until I pointed it out. My house was left a mess with dust from sanding, and paint on my floors the 1st go around. He bought 2 more gallons of paint to repaint whole house again. He also had to get primer and have it colored to match. Its not wise when your in a small town to talk bad about you clients because you are mad that u did a lousy job and it had to be redone. after all said and done. my walls still look lousy, along with the trim and a couple doors. More paint on my new floors, didn't wipe the dust off the trim from sanding the walls and painted right over it, left a mess on my countertops, paint on my front porch amd new rug, and still have white spots on walls that was not fixed. I will never hire him again or refer him to anyone. He came in took my money and did a lousy job. When u pay for a professional, that's what u expect. Not an amateur. Rodney did a wonderful job! He responded quickly to telephone calls and/or texts plus he touched base with us to keep us informed of his schedule. If he noticed something, such as wood that needed to be repaired/replaced, he let us know. He is very friendly and professional and is very customer-oriented. The house looks amazing! He gave us a 5 year warranty and we have no doubt that he will stand behind his work!

I was very pleased with the result

Very good experience. I live in Texas and the house is an investment property in Nashville. Rodney was there when he said he would be, communication was very good. Price seemed reasonable. He sent me pictures as the work progressed. My daughter and son-in-law are local and keeping tabs on things and from the pictures and their reports the floors "look great" and the painting is "pristine". Our goal was to have the place "pop" when we show it and people walk in for the first time and I think with Rodney's help we have accomplished that. He even referred us to a cleaning service that came in once he was finished and he seems to have a network of tradespeople for referrals based on his 30 years of experience in the area. He was quick neat friendly. Kept me in the loop. Had good suggestions when I wasn't sure where I wanted the three colors to go.

Rodney treated my home as it were his own. He was very meticulous in his work and his attention to detail was eyebrow raising.

Went very well faster than I expected

Subcontractors generally do not have great reputations for calling back or showing up and doing what they say they're going to do when they say they're going to do it. Rodney called right back he showed up when he said he would he did this job in one day! We were expecting a week. He was economical, fast, courteous, cleaned up the area, has a great sense of humor and we will be using him again. He is allergic to wasps, so be sure you have wasp spray or have cleared out the wasps.
