Description of Work: We were getting laminate flooring fixed from a remodeling job done in the spring. The laminate was buckling.

Description of Work: We contracted Michael to remodel a bathroom to make it more handicapped accessible including removal and replacement of the tub/shower unit. We also contracted him to fix a roof leak and to repair a door lock at another location. He requested $2200.00 up front for the bathrom and $1000.00 up front for the roof/door repair. After 2.5 months the bathroom was not touched. he fianlly came and removed the old tub shower unit but that was it. The roof reapir and door repair both had to be re-done by another contractor for $800.00. Upon further checking we found that in Tennesse a contractor has to have a state license to do jobs that cost over $3000. His proposal for the shower was $3265 total. The license number he is putting on his proposal is not his. He is not licensed in Tennessee and is on the "questionable contractor" list. (See www.tn.gov.) We requested a refund from him for the unused portion of the nonies which he ahs refused to provide. My mother has dementia and is very disturbed by the construction process. He promised to be done in 1-2 days once he started. It has been terrible for her. He never answers his phone, but rather chooses to return those calls that he is comfortable with. He has not returned a single phone call, text message, email, or any other communication since we asked him for the refund. Litigation is pending... Please, don't use this person without checking his references from tn.gov, and www.ripoffreport.com. Sometimes he seems to do really good, and sometimes really bad. Not much in between. Like rolling the dice. you better be real lucky if you use this person.

Description of Work: Sweet Home Improvements and Roofing made repairs to the roof. He repaired the leaks on the roof. He removed and replaced some shingles. He gave us a two year written warrantee. He created three valleys and two walls. He installed some felt paper. He also sealed over a two story over the dormers. He checked the roof as well.
