It was fixed for a month and the problem has arisen again. Would not recommend them
Description of Work: Washer was not working. The technician had to come in three times to fix a single issue- spent more than an hour on each visit. Was without a washer for a month. On each visit he left everything lying around the place and left.

The staff worked with me on my scheduling and each time and the repair man arrived promptly. However, after completing the part replacement, he did not run a cycle to see if my washer leaked, he did not put the back panel on the washer, nor did he move my washer back into position so I could close the laundry room door. I called the company hoping they would offer to send someone else out to run the first cycle after the new part, attach the back panel, and move the washer back into position, but they offered nothing. So, I guess it's up to my husband and me to do this. I'm very dissatisfied!

I'm sorry to hear you weren't pleased with the service. I spoke with the technician and he indicated that he left the washer in the same place that it was when he arrived with the back already off. We do have a policy that if the appliance is disassembled, it is up to the customer to reassemble. It is posted on our Facebook page. This is unfortunate to have to do it that way but we have had situations in the past that require this. If he did not check for leaks after the repair, he DEFINITELY should have. If you haven't run it already, we definitely would send someone back out to test it. My apologies, I have been out of the office.

The first visit he fixed the drain and installed something to keep the dirty e=water from back filling. The dishwasher worked once then failed after I tried to unstop the drain he was supposed to have cleaned out. That said, since they are not open on weekends, the tech could not come back untill a week later. That is unacceptable these days . unclogged, but now won't run at all.When he came back, he said it was fixed. I ran one lad and it clogged up. I ran another to try to unclog it. It now does not run at all. I am extremely frustrated at your company and lack of quality customer service.

Quick response to dryer servicing that was very important to me. Kindly and helpful service person. Bottoms Appliance was able to come out and fix my dryer the next day. It is difficult to find appliance repair and to make matters worse, my dryer was a Samsung. No problem! My dryer is working and life is running a little easier now.

I can't say enough good things about this company. Talk about persistence!! They came back three times to get this working for me! What a team! There ended up being a couple of things wrong which made it harder to detect. Then one part they ordered came in defective (not their fault). They wanted to make sure I was happy. And I certainly am! I will use them again, if I have a problem with any of my other appliances.

My Samsung refrigerator stopped working today. After several calls to other appliance repair companies, I called Bottoms Appliance Repair. I talked with Sheryl and she was able to make an appointment for later in the afternoon. She came out and quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue. I would recommend them for appliance repair. Very friendly and responsive.

On their first visit, the techs were able to open the door to get the model number for the oven. They then ordered the part they needed. I did have trouble getting the second visit scheduled because they didn't answer their phone for a day, but they were very friendly and we did get it worked out. On the second visit, they had to remove the oven from the wall to fix it. I used it later that day and it's working perfectly. They were professional, patient (I have a 4, 2, and 1 year old who wandered in and out of the kitchen while they were working), and polite. I would recommend them and will use them again if I have any other appliance repair issues.
Description of Work: Replaced heat sensor in my double wall oven. I had run the self-clean and the door would not unlock.

I found this company very helpful and would highly recommend them. Service call was scheduled quickly. They were accommodating in trying to come when it was convenient for me. The technician called to let me know when he would be arriving, and arrived on time. Discovered that the washing machine transmission was failing, and recommended just buying a new washer rather than paying for an expensive repair to a 9-year-old appliance. Problem with the dryer was very easily solved - the plastic grate on the outside vent was warped and preventing the vent flap from opening more than a bit. Simply removed the plastic grate and the problem was solved. Paid only for the service call. Got good advice from technician about what to consider in choosing a new washer, and on using a laundry detergent specifically made ONLY for HE machines. Technician was friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

My washing machine stopped working in the middle of the cycle. I was able to drain the washer and do a few tests to figure out what was happening. I called Bottoms Appliance Repair the next morning and arranged for an appointment later that afternoon. By 4:00 they were at my house. Within a few minutes they were able to determine that the lid sensor had failed. They had one on hand and replaced it. Then they re-assembled all the pieces I had removed and had it working. It only took about 20 minutes. It was pretty much the perfect repair. Thanks!

The repairman worked on the washing machine and I thought everything was fine since he ran the spin cycle and it no longer had an issue. Then the next morning in the early am I ran a load of laundry and was downstairs in the garage under the laundry room and I heard water pouring into the garage from upstairs. I immediately turned off the washing machine but a significant amount of water had already poured down below. I called the answering service and left a message and when their office was supposed to be open at 8, I called again and left a detailed urgent message. When the technician ( owner) called, I had to beg them to come out that day. They wanted me to wait until Wednesday before Thanksgiving to get serviced because they had a full schedule on Tuesday. They did come out on Tuesday morning around 11:30 ( the owner, Sam Bottoms and a helper) and they reconnected a hose that must have been dislodged on the original repair. I did show them the significant water damage in the garage, not only on the ceiling panels but on the carpet below our exercise equipment. They took pictures and said that their insurance adjuster would be in touch with me. They never offered to refund my check for the repair but they did apologize. The icing of the cake of poor customer service came when their insurance adjuster from Hartford called and left message. She gave her contact number and a fax number and indicated that the and quot;insured wanted to be certain that I didn't submit a request for ceiling tiles to be replaced from a prior leakage.and quot; He had noticed that when he took the pictures. Now I am insulted! It is bad enough that I had to clean up their mess but now they are suggesting that I would try to cheat them. Every provider can have problems from time to time and I think this is a fluke for Bottoms but how they failed to resolve the issue is really what counts.
Description of Work: I had called this provider to do repair on my washer and my microwave. They initially did not call me back so I called them again and got the service appointment scheduled. When the technician showed up he barely spoke and then said that he did not work on microwaves.

This was definitely an unfortunate experience for our customer. We do work on Microwaves. However, we rarely work on counter top microwaves. It is usually more cost efficient for the customer to purchase a new one. We believe it is good customer service tell a customer this and we did so in this case. Also, the technician scheduled for this repair works strictly on laundry equipment. When the technician returned [member name removed] call on Tuesday, he must have misunderstood her request. He said she would be available Tuesday morning or on Wednesday. My husband, Sam, then returned her call to set up the return trip. She was then upset for his suggesting coming on Wednesday as he thought she would be leaving shortly. He thought he was working to meet her schedule. At her request, he went immediately. He reattached the hose that had dislodged and tested the machine. He then took pictures of the ceiling tiles affected. He noticed some darker spots that looked older and asked if these were new or old. She left him with the impression that she thought they were older but wasn't sure. When submitting the photos to the insurance adjuster, I indicated just that. My intentions were that if our technician contributed to their damage, they should be included as well. We never ever thought [member name removed] was trying to cheat anyone. I'm sorry if that was the impression she received from the insurance adjuster. Unfortunately, that is something I had no control over. We received a notice from the adjuster that all had been taken care of and that her request was very reasonable. This is the first incident this technician has had. He is human like the rest of us so, in this case, we are going to extend him Grace. We are hoping [member name removed] will accept our sincere apologies for a less than stellar customer service experience. They are very good. A lady owns the company and her and her husband come to the house. If it is something small extra they will do it and not charge you. They came check to my washer and fixed my squeaky dryer door and did not charge me. It is little things like that. It only took her a half of second because she knew what she was doing. Their prices are good.

These guys are fantastic!! I set up an appoint with them and they came on time. They identified the problem quickly and said they needed to order a part. When the part arrived, they called to schedule the repair. They showed up on time, completed the job in 20 minutes. They were incredibly professional and knowledgeable about appliance. They even showed us how to fix a vibration we had been dealing with for several months. Above and beyond the call of duty. Bottoms Appliance Repair is a local company that provides great service all the way around.
