Description of Work: Called Kleen Dry to get an estimate on cleaning my air ducts and dryer vent.

Description of Work: I called only two companies for estimates, and chose to go with Kleen-Dry. I got them to do duct cleaning, which unfortunately is not an option to choose under category. The other company's (highly recommended on Angie's List, Exterior Metal Air Duct Services) estimate after the 5% discount for Angie's list was $569.05. I figured getting one more estimate would be a good idea, especially since it is such an expensive service to begin with. The estimate done by Kleen Dry was $385 and after taxes the bill came to $421.00 total. The service took about and hour and a half, and seemed to go well, but I am not an expert, so I can only say that the serviceman seemed to know what he was doing and was very polite towards me.

Description of Work: We bought new carpet two years ago and needed to have it professionally cleaned to comply with the carpet's warranty. We saw this company advertised in a mailing we got that also came with a coupon. We used the coupon to get a discounted price. This company uses a water extraction method from truck-mounted equipment, which gets the carpet very clean but takes up to 24 hours to totally dry. Two men came to clean and actually didn't take very long to clean 8 rooms -- a little over an hour. I moved some furniture and several plants out of their way before they came, so that probably shortened their stay. They called ahead before their arrival but were a few minutes later than they predicted. They introduced themselves and went right to work, late in the afternoon. One technician answered a few questions for me, explaining the difference between water extraction and chemical extraction and why water was more advantageous. They had to clean their filter a couple of times while working. Afterward the carpet looked much cleaner and felt softer. However, later that evening, while my husband was on the phone pacing around the last room they cleaned, in his bare feet, he complained that his feet became dirtier after walking on the carpet. We have a small dog in our family, so maybe it would be a good idea if we had this done once a year rather than once every two years.... If you're on a budget, find the coupon and use it. There may be other companies that would do an excellent job, but these folks did a lot better than we would have done if we had rented a machine from the grocery store and tried to clean it ourselves. I certainly recommend them!
