Emerald City Custom Painting

Set up an appointment for an estimate to paint the entire inside of my 2200 sq ft home. The appointment was for Thursday, 19 May. Time between 4:30-4:45. I get off work at 4 so had to rush to the empty house to be there for the appointment.. I waited until 5:30pm. No show and no call. When I got home I emailed Bill to tell him that I had hired another painter and I did not even mention him not showing up for the appointment. That night he left a voice message and said that he forgot about our appointment and that he went to another appointment for a "Big" job and that he would not be available to paint my home. Glad he got the "Big" job and because of his no show, I found a wonderful painter here on Angie's list that has fabulous reviews and he was prompt for our appointment and very detailed in what he will do for me. It all worked out for the best.

The job went very smoothly. The owner, Bill, did a great job scheduling the painters and communicating about issues and changes. The painters were very friendly and professional. There were no surprises.

I met the contractor at the paint store. His professional appearance caught my attention (clean, well groomed, and a t-shirt with his company's name on it). He gave me an estimate. It wasn't the cheapest, but it was very fair and I "felt" the work would be done to my satisfaction. We discussed my expectations for the durability of the paint and selected a Sherwin Williams paint called Duralast. Contractor stands behind his work for several years (3 I think) as to the workmanship (cracking, peeling, etc). Work was started on time and completed in about a week. Job was to power wash house to stop any mold growth and then to paint entire house (upper and lower levels). Work was excellent. Contractor cleaned up work area each day and left work materials confined to a small area. Work was done in June and I have been very pleased. I highly recommend this company.

They did a fine job. Our house was in need of paint, there were many things that needed to be fixed. They came back and fixed the things that I brought to their attention.
