Services we offer
Residential brick masonry construction, chimney and masonry repair, commercial work, stone work, architectural block work. Brick, stone mailboxes, tuck pointing and more.
They responded and came fairly quickly. The repair appeared to be ok to me; however, on closer inspection; and after I had paid, there was an area that was not completed. The brick was loose and there was exposed wire. When I called, I was told that they had to get additional matching brick and would return. I made several more phone calls and was promised that they would return to complete the job. They never have.
Description of Work: replaced crumbling motor on outside staircase leading to my house.

We found Hernan on Angie's List and gave him a call. He said they'd come out the same day to give us an estimate -- which they did, only he wasn't there. His father Ismael came instead. He's a nice man. He took a look at the job and our description of the requirements, and quoted us a price of $2,700. (We later added significantly more work to the project, which changed the cost to $3,800.) They commenced working the next morning. Ismael had a team of two guys dedicated to it, while he and another would put in half a day or so, and then leave to supervise a different job. The workers stayed on the job with dedication, although the project was interrupted by inclement weather for two or three days. We are pleased with the work overall, although it is not quite as high-quality as another contractor that we investigated may have provided. However, that one gave us an estimate of $5,500+ for similar work, and we were happy to give these guys a shot considering how much less expensive they were. The main disappointment is that they left the area a bit messy, with both some extra mortar mix dumped on the ground and also some food/drink containers. That's not consistent with what we'd seen about them on Angie's List beforehand. Nothing major, and nothing we can't clear up ourselves, just a little unprofessional. Another odd thing was that one of the workers came to collect the payment at the end of it with no invoice. When we asked for one, he said that Ismail would have to come back later to bring it, which he did. Despite the couple of bumps in the road, we would probably use these guys again on a future project.
Description of Work: We needed a retaining wall (about 5 feet high by 15 feet long) repaired. Also, we needed our mailbox torn down and rebuilt. At the same time, we had a matching post with two short stone walls added opposite the mailbox.

I am so pleased with this company! They came out to give me an estimate the day I called to inquire. They were back to do the work with in two days. They finished in half a day because he brought five guys with him. Their work was terrific and they left the place as neat as a pin. I'm not sure if others would have charged less, but I think I definitely got my money's worth. I am planning to use them to build an outdoor fireplace sometime down the road. A bit of a language barrier, but the head guy brought someone with him to give the estimate who could interpret everything. And he and I were able to communicate fine when he came to do the work.
Description of Work: Removed four large brick planters (two at front porch and two along the back patio), totally rebuilt with new brick, hauled off old bricks and debris. They even replanted the plants in the planters!

They are here at 8:00 to 5:00 and takes about an hour for lunch break, He keeps his workers clean and keeps his work area clean also. From other feedback I have read about him everyone really likes his work and he is licensed and insured too. He has done stand up work for me and gave me a detailed estimate. From there he comes early in the morning, works all day, and cleans up several times throughout the work day. I have been very pleased with his work and his eye for detail. Some would say he is over priced but I got a very low estimate from him. I think the pricing was excellent for the quality of work I am receiving. I am just so pleased I can't say enough good things about this young man and his company.
Description of Work: This fellow does all kinds of brick work and masonry work, but his main concentration is brick mail boxes. He has built me a brick mail box with planters on both sides and he has also repaired sections of brick around my porch.
