Do not go with this company! I’m still waiting to hear back from someone I moved in March. Things were stolen. Things were broken and still yet they told me that they were going to check the warehouse and no one ever called me back as I’m still bringing things out of the garage because I had to end up moving myself when they delivered they refused to take the things off the truck. I’m noticing that more things are missing. I received a call from the driver that initially picked up my things in Atlanta asking me why didn’t I call him? Well, shouldn’t you be calling me if you guys are the one who stole my things then they told me that they couldn’t fit everything on the truck so when I was removing things and about to throw it away, put it on the truck to take home for themselves. Do not use them!! Avoid the stress, avoid being stolen from and ripped off , I’m waiting on a phone call and the girl that works in the office is rude as h***

Purposely under quoted Driver rude and demanding Took items they were not supposed to take and now we are without clothes. 5 days later and items have not arrived; with no eta to be shared. The worst experience ever and this was the first time I decided to splurge on movers. This will absolutely be the last The good reviews on this have to be made up.

I had a Big Deal. I didn't pay anything additional.

As I recall, they were professional and I don't recall any issues with obtaining the quote.

The 2 movers were great. Worked hard and relatively quickly. The only issue was that the communication with the dispatcher was not great. We told her a few times we had a piano to move: She neglected to tell us there's additional cost for this. They ended up moving it without that additional cost, so it all ended well, but was a little frustrating. But like I said, the actual movers did a nice job. Wrapped everything up well prior to moving.

After I purchased the Big Deal, they were supposed to contact me, but they did not. I then called them and was told to send him an email. My email showed that it never went through and I called them again. They advised me to contact them through text messaging for scheduling and he did get that. I was not there on the day that they came. My friend was there and said they did an excellent job. They packed everything for me and nothing was damaged. They were very friendly and organized. The price was different and there were a lot more additional fees. I didn’t expect there to be so much more in additional costs. I think that the cost would have been less had I just purchased the service with them at a set price. They did do an excellent job with the move. I would use their services again but would receive a direct quote for the work before hiring them.

The guys were professional, but they insisted that we are three men and you have to pay for three men for moving our house and furniture. They did a good job I have no complaints except, after they left one of the legs of my bed was missing. So, I called them and they said we will look for it, then I called them again and they said, yes we have found it and we will get it cleared the next time we are there, and that was last August. Then I called them again two or three times, and they said oh yes, it is right there on my desk and I am going to post them in another hour. Well, they never did. I know it is a small thing but they could have followed through on it. Other than that I do not have any complaints about how they handled the furniture. They were careful they were pretty nice guys. They were professional and they were very personable and polite and I do not have any negative things to say about them.

Let a drill & bag missing part of desk that pulled out.

The move with Southern Elite went well overall. My phone calls were returned promptly and the process of getting a estimate and the house walk through were on time and efficient. The price from Southern Elite was significantly less than any other mover I called. The house took two days to pack and load the truck. We were moving into temporary housing so a portion of our household goods were going to be stored. The truck arrived at our new location the next day and everything was unloaded and unpacked that same day. The movers were friendly and helpful. The owner was on site the entire time at both locations. Our only issue was with the packing. Because some of our stuff was going into storage, it was very important that boxes were labeled correctly. There were issues with boxes being packed haphazardly and things from different rooms ending up in the same box. We had a couple weeks of unpacking and repacking boxes to find things we needed. If we had planned to unpack everything, this would not have been a big deal. Otherwise, our experience was good.

Moved my home furnishings from Mt Juliet Tennessee to Groveland Massachusetts, ( north of Boston) Simply outstanding quality of service and professional results. Team packed our belongings, stored until we closed on new home in Massachusetts, and delivered and unloaded when promised. From start to finish, as fine as a moving experience as we have ever been through. If you are needing any moving assistance-- I recommend Southern Elite Moving, from beginning to end. We could not have been happier with the price, service, and the move. Great folks, do what they say, delivered what was promised.

Kizzie was a great help in scheduling and offering packing services. They worked with us to make sure we had everything ready in time for the move. Anthony, the owner, has a wonderful, "can-do" attitude and is one of the hardest working individuals I have ever met. He and his crew were all nice, considerate and professional. We've had bad experiences in the past, but Southern Elite exceeded our expectations. They arrived as scheduled at 9:30 in the morning with four men and two trucks. They took great care to protect all our furniture and loaded the trucks in such a way so that all of our belongings miraculously fit into the two trucks. They didn't finish the job until after 3:00 the next morning, but they only took one short dinner break and kept working diligently the entire time. There are 23 aggregate stairs into our new home so the unloading took longer than they estimated. There was no slacking or goofing off and they took great care with our beloved antique piano, even though I was worried that they waited until the end when their muscles were exhausted. Our furniture is in great condition with no damage and we're thrilled with the service we received.

I scheduled a move on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 with Southern Elite Movers through Kizzy over the phone. I was told that they would be at my home to move me at 9:00 am. There had been an ice storm Monday evening, so when they had not shown up at 9 am I assumed the icy roads caused a delay. I attempted to contact them at approximately 9:30am to confirm that they were still coming, but could not reach anyone. After many attempts to reach them throughout the morning, I was successful in reaching Kizzy at around noon. She apologized for not being accessible and stated that they were unable to get the truck on the road due to the weather. She told me that they could move me that afternoon if the road conditions improved, if not, they would be me the next morning. I did not hear from her for the rest of the day. On Wednesday morning, I waited for them to arrive and when 9am came and went, I, again, attempted to contact them. I kept getting their voicemail at two different numbers. I was unable to reach them until late that afternoon. Kizzy stated that her driver had been in a car accident and she didn't have another driver with a CDL license to drive the truck. I asked her with desperation in my voice whether or not she could move me on Thursday and she assured me without doubt that they could absolutely move me on Thursday. Needless to say, Southern Elite Movers did not show up on Thursday to move me. In fact, they did not answer my call either. I had to beg another mover to move me on Friday.

Anthony, the owner, is a pleasure to work with. He personally oversaw and participated in the whole moving process. There were two other guys in Nashville who helped pack and move things into the van. And then two guys who helped unload things in MA. We were not present for the unloading part of the move, but did ask a friend to oversee that part. To facilitate the process we prepared by doing a couple of things: clustered fragile items together, clustered items that go into the same room together, and provided a schematic + visuals of the large furniture and where they should be placed in the new house. Everything went smoothly and on schedule (+/- an hour). However, as big interstate moves go, there were several items that broke in transit including a bell jar, cuckoo clock, and the bulkhead of our house in Cambridge that was displaced when trying to move a large item through it. The movers took fault for this and we were able to claim home insurance to cover the cost of the repairs. Also, several items were moved into the wrong room. Since we did not expect everything to survive the move, the movers did live up to our expectations. We would have liked a little more attentiveness to fragile items, but this is probably a lesson learned.

They were on time, very professional and careful. We ran over time wise and spent more than we expected but overall a very positive experience.

The first time I used their services was through a U-Haul company who provided us their telephone number and they were available when we needed them. This second time I used their services through Angie's List as "Two Men and a Truck." Both times, the loaders and unloaders were very punctual and on time on both dates. The manager was very courteous and supportive of his moving team. The second time that I used them the original two hours were insufficient and needed them an extra hour. Both times the goods were moved and delivered without damage. I have no hesitancy in using them in the future if needed or to recommend them to others.

I purchased an "Angie's Deal" for two hours of movers service for $100. After receiving the purchase confirmation, I called Elite Moving and left a voicemail as they were closed on Saturday. I did not receive an e-mail (as promised when purchasing the "Angie's Deal") or a return phone call from Elite. I waited for three weeks without any response from Elite, so I contacted Angie's List who promptly refunded my money. I am very disappointed in Elite's responsiveness and would not recommend them to other Angie's List members. .

They wrapped everything in blankets and protected it well from any harm. Excellent job.

In order to ready my house to sell, I had to pack and store 17+ years of stuff. It rapidly became overwhelming in terms of volume and weight. Southern Elite made the enormous task seem easy! Kizzie was responsible and professional in evaluating the size of my job. Anthony and Jasper arrived on time and promptly went to work, quietly and efficiently boxing and packing not just the usual things, but also over-size paintings. mirrors, art and antiques. They understood my needs to have access to certain items once stored and labeled boxes and loaded the truck accordingly. The move into the storage unit went smoothly. Anthony is a master at making the most of space and stored things in the most organized manner. He worked with me patiently as I asked for certain boxes to be moved. He made sure that antiques and art were protected as he moved in numerous boxes of books and less precious items. I will definitely call them again when it is time to move to the next spot!

There wer late to the appointment because their truck broke down which threw my schedule off for the rest of the day. When they would unload our stuff, they were folding their blankets at the same time. This made the process go way slower than it could have. They were very nice and overall everything went okay.

Anthony and his crew did an excellent job. From our first conversation with his office until the final box was unloaded, we had a positive experience. Kizzy, Anthony's wife and able office manager, worked with us at the start to create a plan to insure our needs were met in the time span we required. The crew was hard working and careful with our belongings. Under Anthony's efficient management, they worked diligently and professionally all day.moving/unloading approximately 56 feet of stored belongings . We had been assured that the crew could move and set up our baby grand piano and we were very pleased with the care that was taken and the skill that was used to get it up and ready to play. Before leaving, Anthony asked us if there was anything else they could do to finish up or make our move easier- an extra courtesy after a long day. If/When we move again, we will definitely call Southern Elite Movers.

I called Southern Elite to schedule a move for September 26th. I was told they needed to check availability. I didn't get a call back until days later, when I was told there was nothing available on that date, so I had to return the coupon I purchased. They were very pleasant, though I wish they were more prompt when it comes to getting back to you - for all I know, when I initially called there may have still been openings on the day I needed, and they would've had our business!

The movers were professional, courteous, and pleasant. They were efficient and careful with their work. The only issue I had was that they came ~2.5 hours after anticipated, but they called me in advance to let me know that there would be a delay. All in all, I would definitely hire them again, and I have already recommended them to friends.

Local move: Southern Elite went through our home and we showed them everything we had to move to our new home. We hired them to pack and unpack as my wife is not physically able to do all that due to her health. They gave us a choice of hourly or flat rate and we chose the flat rate (about $700 more than their hourly estimate). They estimated the move to take two days. At the end of the second full day we still had much to be moved. They wanted payment for the job We decided to take a chance and pay them even though they said it would be the following week before they could come back and get the rest. We did so because we trusted our judgement that they would follow through as promised. The next week they called and said they had another job and could not make it but would the next week. The next week they did show, although two hours late and by the time they got there a terrible rain storm came up and they said they couldn't load. They wouild come back again. By that time we had painters and other workers in the house making it ready for sale so movers were out ot the question. A month later they finally made it back. The boxes werre not marked accurately so everything was a mess to find and unpack. They offered to help unpack per our agreement but by then we were so fed up with the whole thing we just decided to do it ourselves. There was a good deal of breakage of various items. We were fortunate because we didn't have anyone moving in right after us as would normally be the case. if we had, it would have been much worse. Although the owners are polite and nice their help was rude and had a bad attitude. Even the owner's wife had menioned that one of the men was grumbling and should be quiet. I know it's hard hot work but it's what they do so there is no excuse for attitudes. Packing was not supervised closely, and there was no system in there work. Pretty unorganized. Some things left from the original move in the middle of rooms. We have waited this long to allow our emotions to cool but feel this experience should be shared. Anyone moving from a home they've sold with buyers moving in soon after should not take a chance with this mover. I really think they meant well but that isn't enough when you promise to move someone in a certain time and then don't do it.

Did not happen at all. We decided to go with somebody else.
