Mr Ramos is a busy man, and it took 2 calls to get him out to look at the work we needed done. He was pleasant, polite and professional when he arrived. The drywall tape joint at the cathedral ceiling angle (12 feet above the floor) in our home was loose and peeling in several places. My husband and I, while skilled enough to do the repair ourselves, are getting older and less eager to climb 8- or 10-foot ladders and work overhead. Because the job was a small one, we knew it would be expensive, but Mr. Ramos was willing to negotiate. We agreed to cover the floors and furniture, and to take care of the clean-up, and he agreed that his price could come down some $75. He was originally scheduled to have workers here at 8:00 am, but it took me calling him at 8:30 am to learn that they would not be available until later that day at 4:00 pm. Two guys showed up, neither with a lot of English, but really good at drywall work. Mr. Ramos was with them, and we agreed they would come back at 7:30 am the next morning to complete the final coat, with the sanding to be done later that same day. Sure enough, the two guys were here at 7:25 am, sitting in their truck until 7:30 on the dot. They were quick, skilled, and friendly. The drywall mud looked great when they finished, almost appearing to need no sanding at all. Mr. Ramos did come by later to do just the little bit of sanding he thought it needed, checking with us to be sure we were completely satisfied before he left. Although it did take several phone calls to get updates when times had to change, Mr. Ramos was apologetic and friendly on each call. Normally I have a low opinion of folks that are not prompt, but in this case, I certainly can make an exception. Our job was too small for most folks to mess with, but he agreed to do it. He was willing to negotiate, and we reached an agreeable price. His crew did an outstanding job, were polite and professional. Mr. Ramos asked us to call him if for any reason we were not pleased with the work over the next several months. I certainly will hire him again.
