Stephen Mulshof is contacted through Family Leisure in Nashville and does not answer phone calls or text and does not show up on scheduled appointments. Would not recommend to service hot tubs or pools!
Description of Work: I purchased s spa from Family Leisure in 2021 and continued my service and spa equipment purchases through them. Every year, I have had my spa service through their contracted technicians. This year, I ordered a Hydraulic lift to replace my current one as well as getting my spa serviced by Stephen Mulshof. The original appointment was set for Monday 9, September. A gentleman (Not Stephen) showed up without lift stating he knew nothing about bringing it as it was back at Family Leisure. I called Stephen and he told me it was a communication error and that he had ordered the wrong lift. We then agreed to reschedule for the following Monday 16 September to come and complete the service. I had text several times prior to Monday to coordinate a time frame. Stephen never responded. I even left a voice message. I Texted Stephen again on Monday, and once again I received no response. I called Family Leisure Service and was assured that Stephen would get the message. A few hours had passed, and I called again and was assured that I would get a call back with an update. I received a call from Family Leisure Service and was told he got in touch with Stephen and Stephen was in Bowling Green and would call me to ensure I was still getting my spa serviced. My spa was never serviced, and I never received a call from Stephen Mulshof to cancel. Specifically, because of Stephen Mulshof's irresponsibility I will not purchase from Family Leisure again. It's the service after the sale that matters most to me!

March 23rd we received a call from ***** at Family Leisure at about 3pm from his cell phone, and he talked to myself and my girlfriend on speakerphone. He told us that he was aware of what happened and that he was so sorry for the incident that was caused by Family Leisure, that they were completely responsible, and that Family Leisure would take care of any and all damages that were caused by the fire. He assured us that our pavers would be replaced/repaired. He completely blew us away with his customer service, saying the main thing was that no one got hurt and that the dogs were alright. He said all the right things to make us let our guard down and we believed everything that was said would happen. He said that he wasn't going to worry about waiting on insurance, because he knew they were at fault and taking care of the customer was Family Leisure's first priority. We explained to him that we did not want a hazardous burned hot tub sitting around our house,and he was more than happy to get someone to come and move the burned hot tub. ***** told us that he could not wait to meet us when he got the chance, and that we should come to the showroom and pick out a new hot tub. ***** told us that Monday was going to be the day that someone from Family Leisure would come get the burned hot tub and clean up. He told us he was going "out of town" so ***** would be the person that would be taking care of us while he was gone, but we both had his cell phone number now and we could reach him if we needed, he would make himself available. Monday March 28th comes and noon was the time they were supposed to get the hazardous material off our property. ***** called us and left a message that while they were moving the hot tub out, their insurance company called and told them the needed to do an investigation and that no one should tamper with the hot tub in any way until the investigation was done. When I arrived home at 3pm I saw that Family Leisure had come onto our property, cut wires on the hot tub, took all of the paneling which was now evidence for the investigation, and propped the burned hot tub on a couple of OUR pavers they got from somewhere else in the yard. There was an understanding between us and ***** that it was unnecessary to have an investigation and that they would deal with the insurance. At this point in time Family Leisure only came onto our property without anybody home under the guise of removing our hot tub and instead tampered with evidence, or as Family Leisure's insurance company stated "spoliation of evidence". There were actually two separate occasions where someone from Family Leisure came and cut wires, took pictures, and were with the hot tub by themselves with no one around. Luckily my girlfriend caught one of the people ***** sent over opening up the circuit board box with a screwdriver and taking pictures. She was at home and the person walked straight into our backyard and began unscrewing the circuit board cover. After multiple times trying to call and text ***** who said he would be available, there were no returned phone calls or text from him. He also did not reply to email at that time. Attached is three times where I sent him text messages where there was no response. The insurance company then contacted us saying that they were not going to take any responsibility for what happened until an investigation was done to see the cause of the fire. At this same time they told us all parties who had touched the hot tub would have to be contacted and we needed to contact our parties involved and they would contact theirs. Attached is the letter where they maliciously lie about who was involved in the incident. They said the manufacturer, installer, and two service techs were involved. They said that none of the parties that were involved in setting up the hot tub were insured by them as they were all subcontractors. This is either Family Leisure falsifying the facts of this case to their insurance company, or the insurance company blatantly lying about who worked on the hot tub, because *** ****** who was the customer service manager for Family Leisure and not a subcontractor, 100 percent was hooking up wiring on the hot tub. I realized at this point that we had been deceived by ***** and *****. Family Leisure was now doing everything they could to not take any responsibility for what happened. They were going to try and put it off on one of their subcontractors. Your response to our complaint is completely unacceptable. Both insurance companies are now involved yes because of the devious and malicious way Family Leisure handled the situation. The truth will come out about who is at fault, the problem that FAMILY LEISURE EMPLOYEES OR SUBCONTRACTORS FOR FAMILY LEISURE ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO TOUCHED ANYTHING ELECTRICAL ON THE NEW HOT TUB. We did not want anything above reason. We really just wanted our yard back without hazardous material in it, we really just wanted everything to be taken care of back to the original state before the fire incident. Your response to our complaint is also appalling. Attached is also the copy of the letter that ***** tried to go behind my back and talk to my girlfriend about and get her to sign, after he stopped taking my phone calls. It was not what ***** had promised. They offered a hot tub at 25% greater value with two years of FAMILY LEISURE in home service or our money back that we spent on the hot tub. The document says that us signing will release them from any future claims or responsibility. This was the slap in the face we received from them as an offer. The fire report says that it was an electrical fire and the only people to have touched any electrical wiring was Family Leisure. The fire report is attached as well. It is an official report from someone other than parties involved. They have gone above and beyond to not take any responsibility for endangering our family and disrupting our lives in the most malicious way. We believed it was important to contact BBB to let people know about the lies this company will tell to protect them and their own interest. The insurance companies are involved now and there is absolutely no doubt who will be found as the culprit, it will be Family Leisure. We just don't want anyone else to fall victim to *****, *****, and Family Leisure. This has been a horrendous experience and will continue to be as they lie and falsify evidence to try and get their desired outcome.

They wouldn't do anything
Description of Work: I bought this 30 ft above ground pool last year. This year when we started up pool we noticed that there was rust around where the motor was. We was there getting supplies we showed them a picture of this and the service department said there was nothing that they could do about it and it was not covered on warranty. The screws where the skimmer is located on the inside of pool are rusted also. Ee will probably have to repace all these next year. I will never buy another pool from them again.

When I contacted Family Leisure about our pool that is 6 years old and is rusted all the way around, I was informed that there was nothing they could do about. So essentially, we were out $5000.00 because it is not covered under their warranty. So, if you plan on getting what you pay for DO NOT buy from this company or you will be greatly disappointed, and out a lot of money.

The folks at Family Leisure made it a pleasure to purchase a new spa. From a sales perspective they have a variety of high end to mid-range spas and are attuned to directing you to the models that have the features you're looking for within your budget. After a lot of research we decided to purchase an Artesian Spa based on build quality, performance, features, and value. The sales document made it crystal clear what options/features were included. The installation team was punctual and professional. We're now enjoying a beautiful and therapeutic spa with everything we wanted and nothing we didn't. They were a pleasure to do business with. Will definitely go back.

We wanted to put it behind my mother's house we live in front of her so no room in our spot but because it was her land she had to be 1st on the loan ( couldn't even be second) and since her credit was not great ...no pool for us even though the other person credit was. Think this is a little unfair to people in these situations and probably renters etc??

Do not call this company for any referrals for work on hot tubs or swimming pools.
Description of Work: We needed someone to look at a hot tub so we called Family Leisure who referred us to this guy named James. He would never return our calls and when he did answer he told us he'd go over to the property where the hot tub was and look at it. He said the went over and that he'd go back to repair. But then never would answer his phone again. He could have just told us he wasn't able to perform the job instead of avoiding us. We called Family Leisure to report to them his conduct and they told us that he hadn't worked for them for three years. We told them to please never refer him to anyone again. Then they gave us two other people's name to call and neither one of them would return our calls.

They gave me the quote over the phone and they stick to the quote. I was happy with the price. They did a good job. There was room for improvement in cleaning up the job site. I would use them again in the future.

When you go to the store you don't have to wait around for service; there is always someone there to help you. If you get a discount for something they keep it on your record so you don't have to show your card every time.

Watson's Pools installers did a crappie job! They were terrible workers. It took 3 different attempts to put pool in at one point it looked like it got hit by a car. The guy said well they can’t replace the pool just because it has a dent in it. I said no this is because the liner is pulling down cause of the water. After 3rd try they got it in and they did replace the wall and everything. Now where they did the excavation on it sand is coming out from under the pool Cause they didn’t pack the sand down at all. So now if more sand comes out the wall will pop down and collapse. The sand coming out is making the liner stretch The pool is not level. They left a big pile of dirt they won’t clean up after themselves We thought the cost of pool included everything but it doesn’t and they don’t tell you that til they are installing it. The pump is the only thing good I won’t ever buy anything from them and I won't ever go back there. It is probably the worse experience I have had in a while
Description of Work: I used WATSON'S POOLS 2 years ago in 2009 I had Pool installed by them. The pool we got was advertising $999 on TV on sale. The price was nothing like they said on TV; it wasn’t anywhere close to it. They didn't tell us the extra prices until we signed a contract and they were at our house to install the pool. The sale was $1200 off, the pool alone cost us $2200 and we ended paying $5000 cause we had to buy rock, sand, water –had to fill pool up 3 different times. Because when the pool got ½ full the wall would cave in and they said they would pay for the extra water but they never did.

I contracted with Watson's to build a pool. They came and dug a BIG hole in the wrong place and then decided they did not want to do the job. I had to pay to fill in hole. The trouble started day 1. The sales person sold the job, telling me one thing, then the owner called me up accusing me of "changing" the job. I NEVER changed 1 thing from the time the sales person left to the time the Bobcat left. He was very, very rude. The second day I noticed that the guy on the Bobcat was digging an awfully deep hole, but not where the pool was to be located. They had not set up any flags or other markers for the digging. I stopped them from digging any more until I could figure out what was going on. They came to the door in a few minutes and informed me that they needed the Bobcat at another job, which is totally understandable. The next day, when I called the owner, I never even got a sentence out of my mouth before he informed me that if I bought rock to fill up the hole, they would spread it for me, but he was not going to pay for the rock. I was stunned. He said that they were not supposed to be digging there anyway, so he did not think they should have to pay to fill in the resulting hole (approx 6 feet deep X 30 feet long). When I questioned him about this he further informed me that he really did not want to do my job anyway. I am not usually speechless but I was. What could I say? Sure they had a contract, but you do not want people doing work for you who do not want to. As a result they refunded me the money I had paid, but I had to pay money to get the hole filled it and find another pool contractor who was willing to pick up their mess. The new contractor was my original low bid but I chose Watson's because I thought they would be "better". They are the WORST. The new pool walls were delivered before Watson's picked theirs up and the difference in quality was amazing. In the end I guess they saved me from an inferior product, but I did not appreciate having to spend extra money to fix their mess.

Watsons does great work. They do only what you tell them to do, and nothing more. One thing they could improve on would be to have follow up calls, to make sure everything is still going well.

Watson was great as far as being professional and courteous. They really do quality work. The price is good. There are no leaks and the construction is high quality. I would recommend this company to anyone.
Description of Work: Watson put an above ground pool in for me. It is 24 feet in diameter. The whole job took a couple of days.

Watson's Pools was terrific to work with. We have recommended them to all of our friends. They went way above the call of duty.
