Excellent service in three particular areas: response, promptness, and professionalism.

Went very well. Only hiccup was a miscommunication between us and him on ordering the electrician to do the power work. He recommended one who was very slow in responding and when he did he was not really available. The install went well. They did a good job and cleaned up after themselves. well.

From other reviews I understood that estimates from this company were not free, so I attempted to call and get a "ballpark" quote giving them the information from a free estimate that I HAD received. This job was very simple. Straight shot, outdoors - laying gas pipe and connecting to an existing source. I had a high quote from a competitor in hand that gave enough details to get a rough idea of what was involved. I had no idea why my quote in hand was so high - pipe is a finite cost - labor was the only variable that seemed to make sense. When I begged the individual on the phone for a range I got a ball-park estimate of supplies of "a couple hundred to thousands of dollars in materials" I am not stupid and don't appreciate being treated as an idiot. I will not ever use this company willingly.

He had to leave twice for parts which I didn't understand because it seemed like the problem was a minor one with a hose under the sink. It seemed like it took him a long time and he charged by the hour. My sink is fixed, he did a good job, but I wish he had been more efficient. I don't know if I would use him again.

I called Summit Plumbing because my Mother had heard their ad on the radio recently. So, when I called, their secretary was friendly and helpful, and offered a service call the very next morning, even though I called at almost 5PM. That morning, I received a phone call from Geoff saying that he was going to be early, and hoped that would be okay with me. I was surprised that a service call would come early! I arrived at my house to explain my problem. I had a brand new washer and dryer installed, and needed them to be moved around, and the lint trap to be cleaned out. He looked it over, made a plan, and finished the job within an hour. I trusted him to finish while I headed back to work, which was comforting. He left the bill (which I thought was surprisingly low), and I even called a few days later to say that I have future projects that I would like Geoff to work on for me. I would recommend them to any of my friends and family.

It was great! The owner Jeff came to our house. He was on time, very friendly and professional. Explained everything before he started working. Explained it as he went. Tested everything before he left. The bill was exactly what he had estimated. I will definitely use Summit Plumbing again and I have already recommend them to several people we know.

After reading about Summit on here and on Summit's website, we contacted Summit to get an estimate for our remodeling project. After scheduling the appointment, we were told there would be a $45 estimate fee!! We were completely taken aback, since Summit's website (and this site) says "free estimates", and we've never had a contractor charge us to look at a project. Summit said the estimate fee would be waived if we ultimately hire Summit to do the job. When we asked why their own website advertises "free estimates", we expected them to tell us they've changed their policy but have not yet updated their website. However, their explanation was that their estimates are free if they end up doing the work. Really? Sorry, but that is NOT what "free estimates" means. Clearly, they are happy to mislead potential customers. We canceled our appointment and will find someone else to do the work.

I had received an estimate by a competitor that had been recommended to me by my Realtor. I was not impressed by the manner of the person that came to my house so I talked to my sister who works for a high end home builder in Sioux Falls to see who they use. She advised I should call Geoff at Summit Plumbing. I thought since they do plumbing for million dollar homes they might be too expensive but I went on Summits website and contacted Geoff to see if he would be interested in providing a bid. Geoff responding immediately and came to my house within a couple of days. He was very professional but also very friendly and informative. To my surprise his bid came in slightly lower than the one I have gotten previously. I had decided I would go with Summit even before I got the bid just based on what a nice person Geoff seemed to be. The Summit crew arrived at my home on time and finished on time, and well within the bid! I would absolutely go with Summit again and would highly recommend them to anyone that needs plumbing installation.
